Introducing the 2004 Suzuki Eiger, in four hard working versions: •The LT-A400F Eiger Automatic 4X4, featuring an automatic CVT transmission with high/low range and reverse, and a limited-slip front differential. •The LT-F400F Eiger 4X4, featuring a five-speed-plus-reverse manual transmission with high/low range and automatic clutch and a limited-slip front differential. •The LT-A400 Eiger 2X4 Automatic, featuring an automatic CVT transmission with high/low range and reverse. •The LT-F400 Eiger 2X4, with five-speed-plus-reverse manual transmission with high/low range and automatic clutch. All Eiger models feature a dependable 376cc single-cylinder, four-stroke, air/oil-cooled SOHC four-valve engine, with 9.0:1 compression ratio, a single 32mm Keihin carburetor, a gear-driven balancer to reduce vibration, and a wet-sump lubrication system. Power is transmitted through your choice of a fully automatic transmission with V belt and continuously variable gear ratio, or a manual five-speed with reverse transmission with centrifugal automatic clutch and two-speed sub-transmission. Automatic models utilize an advanced braking mechanism and two-speed sub-transmission with a reverse gear. In addition, four-wheel-drive models feature Suzuki's unique torque-sensing limited-slip front differential and an easy-to-use handlebar-mounted 2WD/4WD-control lever. The Eiger frames are created with large-diameter, thin-walled tubing for maximum strength and minimum weight. Aggressive bodywork, high-radius fenders, a rugged styled grill and large front bumper provide a bold and sporty look. The front suspension uses an independent double A-arm design with a class-leading 6.69 inches of travel. A dual-shock swingarm rear suspension offers 6.69 inches of travel and 9.3 inches of ground clearance. The addition of this new 4x4 big-bore machine to the QuadRunner line marks Suzukis first foray into V-twin ATVs. And make no mistake; this one is ready to tackle the roughest terrain around. A stump pulling 697cc engine, a sturdy frame, durable suspension and a host of other features make the 04 LT-V700F the ultimate V-twin 4x4 available. The Suzuki LT-V700F is powered by a 697cc four-stroke, SOHC, four-valve-per-cylinder, liquid-cooled 90-degree V-twin. Feeding the torque-laden motor is a pair of Keihin 32mm carburetors with bore and stroke measuring 82.0 mm x 66.0 mm. V-twin torque is transferred through a dual-range CVT-type transmission with reverse and both two- and four-wheel-drive systems. A limited-slip front differential allows for easy turning yet allows the rider complete control in deep mud or on steep uphill trails. An electronically controlled engine braking system assists during descents. A double-cradle tubular-steel frame was designed for maximum strength and minimum weight. MacPherson struts up front and an aluminum swingarm with a preload-adjustable rear shock provide a smooth ride over any kind of terrain. Front and rear wheel travel measures 6.7 inches. Dual hydraulic discs and dual calipers slow things up front, while a sealed, oil-bathed disc set secure the rear. A digital instrument panel provides all the information a rider could need: speedometer, odometer, dual trip meters, clock, hour meter and fuel gauge. Also included are indicator lights that denote 2x4 or 4x4 selection, neutral, reverse, low fuel warning and low oil warning. Completing the machine are stylish and aggressive body panels designed with optimum rider mobility. Front grille, cargo racks at either end and a generous 4.5-gallon fuel tank come stock.
