The new 2016 Blue-White Limited Edition GSX-R1000 continues this classic Suzuki racing heritage motif. Notably, the Suzuki Ecstar MotoGP team recently added this historical livery to a special version GSX-RR.In 1986, a red-and-black GSX-R750 arrived to pay homage to the race bikes piloted by the Yoshimura Suzuki riders who competed at the Suzuka 8 Hour endurance races in the 1980s. Suzuki s new 2016 Red-Black Limited Edition GSX-R1000 commemorates that landmark GSX-R, as well as the Yoshimura Suzuki GSX-R raced in 1986 by former Grand Prix World Champion Kevin Schwantz. This red-and-black livery will make its AMA Superbike debut on the GSX-R1000 under Yoshimura Suzuki rider Roger Hayden.Each Limited Edition GSX-R1000 carries an exclusive 30 Years of Performance badge atop its gas tank, plus special wheel striping to signify its limited production status. Features may include: Potent 999cc, 4-cylinder powerplant, with a bore and stroke of 74.5 x 57.3mm brings enhanced throttle response across the entire RPM range plus a true potential for racetrack dominance.Suzuki Drive Mode Selector (S-DMS) offers push-button selection of three performance settings to suit riding conditions and personal tastes. The switch is located on the left handlebar control module.SHOWA Big Piston front forks (BPF) with an endurance-race-proven lightweight design that delivers superb feedback and response. Spring preload, rebound and compression damping are all fully adjustable.The dual front disc brakes are equipped with the premier, radial-mount Brembo monobloc calipers grasping 310mm floating brake rotors.Electronically controlled steering damper provides lighter steering at slower speeds and more damping force at racetrack and highway speeds.
