2007 Suzuki Gs 500, 2007 Suzuki GS500F. I bought it in 2011 as a starter bike. I have really enjoyed it, but I have purchased another bike. The GS500F runs, rides, and starts well. I bought the bike with approx. 4,000 miles and now it has 15,xxx mi. I have kept the bike in my garage, I changed the oil and filter every 3,000 miles. I adjust, clean, and re-lube the chain every 600 mi. I have also taken the time to check the tappet clearance like the maintenance schedule says. The bike is a 487cc, DOHC, Parallel Twin Cylinder engine. Also, if this post is up, then the bike is still for sale. I am not a bank, if you want to finance the bike, call a bank. Upgrades include: -DynoJet Kit -I installed the largest Jets with the kit but wasn't happy, so I installed some from "Jets R Us," left the tapered needle with the kit installed, and balanced the carbs; it made a world of a difference. -K&N removed air box kit. -Stainless Steel lowered and angled handle bars. -D.I.D. Professional Gold X-Ring chain -Pulstar capacitive discharge Spark Plugs. -Red LED's in gauges, LED's in indicator lights, LED's in tail light and rear turn signals, electronic flasher for LED's installed. -I will try to find time to install a diode so I can put LED's in the front turn signals as well. -Trickle Charger adaptor already installed on battery. -Wolo Electronic air horn. -Replacement Grips. -Fuel filter. Repairs: -A year and a half ago the sprocket splines stripped as well as the transmission output shaft. -I took the engine and transmission out, replaced the sprocket and output shaft with original OEM Suzuki parts. -Rear Brake Pads replaced. -New Front and Rear tires on September 2013. Faults: -When I first got it after someone ran a stop sign in my old neighborhood, when I put my foot down I slipped on a bunch of pine needles. The bike fell on me and the front turn signal snapped off. I mounted it back on with hot glue and used electrical tape to make it more cosmetic. It holds very well. Features of the bike from the factory: -Oil Cooler (Not on previous model years of this bike). -Helmet Lockout/Tab under seat for mounting 2 helmets while you are away. -Locking ignition/handle bars. -Bike gets about 50-60 MPG depending how I ride on it. Before Jet kit it was consistently 58-60 MPG. -6 Speed Transmission. -Built in stand. (Not refering to the kickstand). -Kickstand ignition kill. -Adjustable rear shock. I will try to find documentation of everything. So far I have found the documentation for the tires. Whatever documents I don't find, I will do my best to show for proof. I am including the original handle bars, grips, air box, bike cover, owner's manual, OEM tool kit, K&N replacement air filter, K&N oil filter, 1 can of OEM Suzuki chain lube, and the remnants of the DynoJet kit. $3,000.00
