Nice bike. Frame and all metal parts custom powder coated a deep dark metallic blue. Not distracting or gaudy at all - subtle and awesome looking. Then the bike is painted a baby blue with a silver double stripe down the center of the entire bike. That paint isn't in the greatest of shape (in my picky opinion) so I'd repaint, if I were to take this bike home. Nice chrome mirrors with turn signals built in and LED lights all around (including cluster) (well the headlight isn't LED, and one brake light isn't LED, just because I ran out LOL). Electronic ignition - no more "igniter box" junk. New DC rectifier and stator just in case with about 50 miles since replacement. Starter motor just rebuilt. New bearings all around. I also rewired some of the bike to improve reliability and labeled all connections and everything is connector based so the bike is super easy to diagnose and work on. New throttle and clutch cables. Any spare parts I have are yours (there aren't a lot, most of them are now on the bike). Kerker exhaust and 4-1 headers and pods for air filter. Sounds good, performs well. This is a very customized bike on a stock shape frame, handlebars and so on. Easy riding and handles like it should.I spent way too much on looks (powder coat was probably $1800 all told on this bike) and paint was meh - my first paint job. But, it looks pretty good. Mechanicals are good - with a few exceptions1. The carbs still aren't adjusted right. When the bike is cold (even on a warm day) it takes some cranking or starting fluid to get her going. Choke it up and she's purring quick with that starter fluid. Adjust carbs!2. The tach and turn signals literally just stopped working. Could be a 5 minute fix on both - or not. These might even be fixed by the time you get here. If not they can't be that bad.3. There are some minor chips& scratches (no i've never laid down the bike) on the right side of the tank. Don't know why - probably got "rolled into" something by someone moving my bike without me knowing. Sigh.4. The bike smokes a bunch when it's cold. When it's warm it doesnt. I'm assuming it could use some rings - it eats some oil too (they all do of course this one just eats more than I'd like).5. I don't love the progressive springs the last owner put in the forks. I'd upgrade if I were keeping the bike. But, that's personal opinion.6. I never finished the seat covering. The cover is on there but you could fasten it with about an hour of work and a knife and pliers and then put the bar back on the rear seat (if you wanted to).Register it as an antique and save on insurance and yearly inspections/registrations! I did. If you are from NY I will include the original plate from 1985 (with 1985 registration sticker still on it) - you can use it as your plate. Stand out!So, it's a minor project. In reality fix the turn signals (if they're not aleady fixed!) and ride it. The rest are me being a nit picker. But if you want it perfect, there's the other stuff on the list.Make me an offer. I'd like to get $1800 and given where this bike is at I think that's pretty firm, I'm only selling because I have 3 bikes and no time for this one (hence why my account even went away on this forum LOL - I had to re-register, I just haven't had time to ride or keep working on it.. sigh.Low miles. whatever the picture says. It's not getting ridden.Cash in hand for a test ride sorry I know how this goes...

1981 Suzuki GS1100E 29700 miles project bike with all parts and clean title. Bike is in good shape and was a complete running riding motorcycle until the engine was pulled and taken down to replace leaking base gasket and oil pan gasket. Bike was previously owned and ridden by me but now belongs to a friend who i am selling it for. I sold it to him complete for a pretty low price and he had the motor pulled and taken down to do the work and then fell on some hard times so the bike has sat like this since. I put alot of new parts on the bike before he bought it from me including new metzler tires, new chain, new seat cover, and fresh black paint on all body panels (sorry its covered in dust in the photos). Bike comes with a MAC 4 in 1 exhaust OR a KERKER 4 into 1 exhaust your choice. Also has shorter handlebars installed along with alot of nicer used parts from another gs1100 i had for parts. I do have some misc. extra parts that can go with the bike for the right price. I do not have the time to install gaskets and put it back together so we're letting it go cheaper as a project. Anymore questions please contact me. I could possibly meet to drop the bike off if within reasonable distance and with a deposit. Thanks again

1980 SUZUKI GS 450EX MOTORCYCLE Condition: The pictures show the condition of the motorcycle and is in great running order. Any interested parties are welcome to inspect the motorcycle. The following parts were just purchased and installed on the motorcycle to ensure rider safety and proper mechanical condition.New Front and Rear Tires and inner tubes installed by a Suzuki dealer.New Drive ChainNew Front and Rear BrakesNew Starter switchNew BatteryNew Seat CoverNew Handle Bar GripsNew Paint - the fuel tank, side covers, and rear storage compartment were all just painted. The servicing also included new spark plugs, air filter, oil, and oil filter.Note that the speedometer/odometer was also just replaced because it recently stopped working, and the picture of the speedometer/odometer in this listing shows the actual mileage on the motorcycle (8444 miles). This gauge was replaced with another identical used gauge which shows approximately 3600 miles, but the actual mileage is as shown in the picture. Additionally, all parts purchased and installed were Suzuki OEM parts (not aftermarket). Note also that the motorcycle is complete stock with no modifications. My son bought this bike from a friend, and after completing all the service and part installation decided that he wanted an ATV instead (reason for selling). This is a great beginner bike for someone getting into motorcycle riding. Please contact me with any questions and I will reply as soon as possible. The motorcycle has a clear Illinois title. Note that I also am listing locally, so I may end the listing early if sold locally.

Bike Runs. Many modifications have been made. The Frame is a 1981 GS1100ex BUT the motor was replaced with a 1977-1978 GS1000e.Battery has moved to the rear hump of the aftermarket racing seat, new dual front sport brakes, The Tank is from a 1977 Suzuki 450 for the Manx style look that Suzuki produced in the 70's.Carbs need minor adjustment but the motorcycle is in great condition with fresh paint. K&N air filters and fresh pugs have been installed. Some various lights on the dash do not work but can be replaced.Rear tire could use a replacement slight dry rotting on sides from age. Item is as is running with some minor work needed.
