1980 HONDA CM400E Daily rider, or perfect start for a cafe racer! DESCRIPTION: This is a solid 1980 Honda CM400E with only 17K miles and a clean title. The bike runs great and everything seems to work as it should. We were not able to take it for a long test ride due to the snow however we did drive it around the shop to confirm it shifts in and out of gear smoothly, the clutch works properly, and the brakes work as they should. The paint is not original but looks decent. There are some scratches and a little fading but no dents. The side covers are each secured with zip ties due to broken tabs. The chrome has some tarnish but for the most part is in good shape for it's age. The seat is torn pretty bad but can be recovered or replaced easily. The tires have good tread and no visible dry rot, but the front has a little uneven wear. The battery is strong and cranks/starts the bike with ease. Please understand we have only done a basic visual inspection of this bike and it's possible there are some flaws that we've missed. This bike has some typical wear and tear, rust, scratches, etc. but for the most part is a good, solid bike. It would make a great daily rider or be the perfect start for a cafe racer project! 1979 HONDA CB650 - ORIGINAL CONDITION! DESCRIPTION: This 1979 Honda CB650 is in great condition for it's age and appears to be all original and complete! The chrome is in nice shape, the paint is decent for it's age, it has good tires, a strong battery, and a clean title. The bike does start easy and runs but will not idle. It will need a little work to run perfect and is being sold as is. It's rare to find these bikes in this condition, and this one would be perfect for a restoration, custom cafe racer, or a vintage daily driver! It appears to be all original although it looks like the speedometer has been changed at some point. The paint is a little faded and there are some scratches/flaking/etc. but for being original it's not too bad. The chrome is real nice with only a few spots of light corrosion/minor pitting. The turn signals have electrical tape holding them tight. The horn and tachometer do not work, looks like the tachometer just needs a cable. Everything else on the bike works including all lights. The bike does shift into gear and the clutch works as it should. The bike does start right up and runs when revving but will not idle. The bike has been sitting for a few years (indoors) so we are assuming it just needs a tune-up and some basic trouble shooting but we can't make any promises as we have not looked into this at all. The only thing we did was put some fresh gas in the tank, so this bike is being sold as-is. And of course the bike has some typical wear and tear. This bike is not mint, but still very nice condition for it's age! Please review all photos closely and feel free to ask any questions.
