2007 Triumph Speed Triple, Lets be unique - The first streetfighter bikes were home brewed, they came out of the back streets, stripped down, deconstructed - the complete opposite of ?pretty? factory bikes. The very first Speed Triple grew up at the factory in the same way as those raw, unfaired machines. Dominating the scene ever since, it?s still the coolest kid on the block. Its wide ranging ability ensures outstanding performance in almost every situation, from urban commuting to hard-edged sports riding. The Speed Triple mixes a monstrously powerful three-cylinder core with a top quality chassis and aggressive, stripped down stance. The gnarly character of the inline triple is intrinsic to the Speed Triple?s brutish charm. Its primal 1,050 cc, DOHC, fuel injected, three-cylinder engine pumps out a great surge of bottom-end torque, followed by a massive mid-range punch and impressive level of overall power. Delivering that power to the rear wheel is a slick shifting six-speed gearbox. Crisp-edged engine cases and covers enhance the engine?s look. Peak power is 131 bhp at 9,250 rpm while peak torque of 77 ft. lbs. arrives at 7,550 rpm. A rigid aluminum frame contains the engine and provides massive strength with steering geometry that gives fast-steering neutrality plus great stability. The fully adjustable 43 mm upside down forks and rear monoshock add superb levels of quality and control. Likewise, the pair of radial four-piston brake calipers and 320 mm floating discs offers cutting-edge stopping power and feel. The five-spoke wheels add style and substance, as does the evocative single-sided swingarm. Twin high-level oval section exhaust pipes enhance the engine?s distinctive and addictive induction roar. Since its original introduction in 1994 the Speed Triple has become a true two-wheeled icon. 2004 Suzuki V-Strom 1000 (DL1000), Where the adventure started - Suzuki introduces the 2004 Suzuki DL1000 V-Strom, the Sport Enduro Tourer. The versatile V-Strom combines the performance of a proven V-twin powerplant with nimble handling, aggressive styling and a comfortable riding position. New features for 04 include an all-new adjustable windscreen and easier-to-read gauge package. A strong, lightweight, aluminum-alloy twin-spar frame supports the DL1000 and provides a 60.5-inch wheelbase and 32.8-inch seat height. Front suspension consists of 43mm cartridge forks with adjustable spring preload. In the rear, an aluminum-alloy swingarm is mated to a piggyback-reservoir shock with adjustable rebound damping and a convenient knob-operated spring-preload adjuster. Approximately 6 inches of wheel travel is available both front and rear. Wheels are lightweight cast-aluminum-alloy units with radial tires. Dual 310mm rotors are mounted up front and a 260mm disc is mounted at the rear. Completing the V-Strom are an aggressive front fairing, a long-range, 5.8-gallon fuel tank, high-mounted mufflers and an off-road-inspired skid plate. A slim, easy-to-read instrument cluster, multi-reflector headlights and dual sport tires are also standard equipment.
