Features may include: Ducati Testastretta DVT The new Multistrada 1200 is powered by the brand-new revolutionary Ducati Testastretta DVT engine which adopts a Desmodromic continuous variable valve timing to optimize power and torque across a wider rpm band delivering an unprecedented combination of breath-taking-torque (132 [email protected] rpm), class-leading power (160 [email protected] rpm) , super-smoothness and low fuel consumption; the Desmodromic Variable Timing (DVT) is a double and continuous system applied for the first time to a motorcycle engine managing both exhaust and intake camshafts. Exhaust System Both main manifolds end up straight into the single 3-chamber silencer, which acts as a 2-1-2 collector box and accommodates cat converter and sound-deadening material. The two compact, light aluminium alloy tail pipes exit the silencer and are positioned low to the side to keep noise and heat away from the passenger. Independent Dual-Spark Configuration The Ducati Testastretta DVT is equipped with two sparks whose ignition is managed independently: (1) one is placed at the center of the combustion chamber, the additional one (2) on the external side. The benefit is to provide at any engine speeds a further more effective twin flame-front that ensures complete and efficient burning (quicker and more complete) of the fuel-air mixture within the combustion chamber across a shorter period of time. At low engine speeds the two plugs work simultaneously, while at high engine speeds the two plugs are managed independently with a dedicated ignition timing. Anti-knocking sensor The Ducati Testastretta DVT features an integrated anti-knocking sensor; while optimized for high octane fuel (RON 95), thanks to an anti-knocking sensor the motor can also operate - without manual intervention - on lower octane normal fuel (RON 91) as are sometimes found in distant countries. Superbike spec Brembo braking system The Multistrada 1200 S features a Superbike spec Brembo braking system composed by racing oriented PR 16 brake pump managing two Ø 330 mm front discs coupled with Superbike-spec Brembo Monobloc M50 calipers. This is the last year Yamaha made these monster bikes, the muscle car equivalent of motorcycles. This is motorcycle engineering at its best. Great engine, super torque. It looks like a chopper but handles, accelerates and brakes like a sport bike ( it will make sport bike owners jealous). This one is absolutely perfect, like new. Never raced, never dropped, ridden by a experienced adult, since new. It has always been kept indoors and babied. Perfect paint, perfect chrome, everything works smooth as silk. Everything is original, no modifications. It must been seen to be appreciated. I have riser kit installed on the handlebar. For more comfortable riding ( long distance) position. It can be removed if desired. It has a cruise control ( throttle lock) installed. I have highway foot pegs, leather Yamaha seat, Yamaha saddle bags made just for Warrior and travel suit case. New Testastretta 11° The new Hypermotard 939 family utilizes a 4-valve engine with a water-cooled cylinder, featuring a bore x stroke of 94 mm x 67.5 mm designed to achieve a perfect balance between usability and performance: this is the new 937 cc Testastretta 11° engine which provides maximum power of 113 hp @ 9,000 rpm and torque of 97.9 Nm @ 7,500 rpm. This new engine uses technical solutions which directly reflect Ducati's engineering know-how and have led to the creation of an extremely fluid and stable engine: the 11° valve overlap confirms the excellent results obtained in the Multistrada 1200 family and optimizes the exhaust and intake stages with consequent steady operation at medium and low speeds. Targeted fuel injectors aim the jet of fuel directly at the hotter rear end of the intake valve so that all fuel is atomised; a secondary air system similar to that of the 1299 Panigale enables the engine's operation to be optimised thanks to the controlled flow of oxygen which reduces cyclical combustion dispersion, thus effectively eliminating unburnt fuel. Ultimately, Ducati has managed to obtain a new engine that is extremely enjoyable, performs excellently and which can significantly limit emissions of unburnt fuel. New Trellis frame The Hypermotard 939 family of bikes is equipped with a tubular steel Trellis frame with 34 mm main section tubes, 25.5° rake, 104 mm trail and 30 mm offset, dimensions which allow steady and safe control without compromising the agility typical of this motorbike. The frame connects into the seat rail and, as in the Multistrada 1200, includes an intermediate section in engineering polymer. A wide 70° steering angle allows great handling, while a wheel base starting at 1,485 mm maximises stability at high speeds. ABS Bosch 9MP The Hypermotard 939 family is equipped with the latest Bosch 9MP ABS, an integral part of the Ducati Safety Pack. This unrivalled combination of safety and braking power provides shorter stopping distances and greater stability under braking. The system integrates perfectly with the Riding Modes and has two operation levels. Level 1, for Sport Riding Mode, ensures high braking performance with reduced anti lift-up control for sport use on the road.
