This 2009 Harley Davidson 1200 Custom Low is fresh from the original owner, an extremely nice mature gentleman (who has grown sons who are motorcycle enthusiasts-professional stunt riders). He sold this bike to me cheaply at the drop of a hat to help his son buy a new bike to ride in competition in Mexico in a few weeks (things dads won't do for their children). (However, the bike had not been registered the previous two years...so, I don't think it was too great a loss for dad.) I too was concerned about it sitting when I learned that information, but he assured me that it had been run and ridden in the neighborhood occasionally. It is fuel injected, and it runs like a champ. The oil was changed earlier this year. The gas smelled fresh. The low fuel light actually came on when I test rode it in the neighborhood. The kind gentleman (previous owner) not only went and had a brand new inspection done on the bike but filled the tank with gas as well while he was out. I have ridden it home (a distance of about than 15 miles). It ran great while it sat in Houston traffic and inched its way to Tomball. I got it up on 249 and took it up to the maximum highway speed limit. Wow, only a Harley sounds like that. (I ride a BMW, but wish I could justify keeping a second cycle...which I can't...slap my mouth.) I have taken several photos and now am seeking to make my bride happy. She thinks a 63 year old man (her husband) has no business on a motorcycle. But she is sure he has lost his way when he has two bikes in her garage. (One has to go, and fast!). Fly in and ride it home. I will pick you up at Bush International and send you on your way. Don't make me come to Hobby (but if you need me to, I will (any day but Sunday). Flights to Houston are terribly cheap right now. The bike has some old Willie Max saddle bags (not pictured) as well as a nearly new very nice huge "top case" (pictured) and a bedding roll or misc. bag (pictured) that mounts on top of it. The bike sports Vance and Hines pipes (I have the originals available if noise is not your thing.) It also sports a King/Queen Sportster seat (the original Sportster seat is available and in good shape as well but not quite as comfortable.) The tires are the weakest link, but they just passed Texas annual inspection, so, obviously they meet whatever the tread depth criterion is. I want $4900.00 fort he bike, but I also want to sell it. You may just save a 41 year marriage for another year if you buy it now. But if you want to offer, I'll give close consideration to what you present, especially if you have lots of good feedback.Oh, by the way, there is a somewhat noticeable spot on one of the pipes that may be something burnt onto it or perhaps the chrome developing acne from heating up and cooling off...not sure. It is not unsightly but you can see it when you look the bike over closely. The following are the words the original owner used to describe the bike in his ad on eBay from which I made the purchase:"Immaculate 2009 Sportster with 10,000 miles. Very well taken care of and serviced. No scratches, dings or rust." While the statement may be slightly exaggerated, I must say that you would have to be pretty picky to find fault with this bike. I try to buy and sell a couple of nice bikes each year. This is obviously not a new bike, but you should get thousands and thousands of miles of riding pleasure from the motorcycle, and the good thing is, in two or three years you probably will still be able to get your money back (or take good care of it and I might buy it back from you.) The add-ons if you were to sell them cheaply could add a couple hundred dollars more to the purse. Now go hit that "buy it now" button (and make my bride happy) or make me an offer I can't refuse (and watch me squirm). But don't wait. I find a bike like this only about once or twice a year...and I look constantly. Just for your information, I am not hungry and do not plan to consider offers below kbb trade-in value. That being said, I really don't want to house the bike til spring. Yes, it has always been garage kept. Perhaps the most important issue that I have found.
