Up for sale is a great 2002 BMW 1150 RT sport touring motorcycle with a title in hand. I bought this bike back in 2012 off of Ebay with 59,000 and have put the last 5 thousand miles on it going back and forth from work and the occasional ride through the mountains. Nothing has ever gone wrong with this bike and it has performed like a champ the entire time that I have owned it. With this new year, I just got it ready to ride with a new battery, new tires (Continental ContiMotion Sport/Touring tires) and the usual maintenance due for a new riding season. I wanted this bike because I had read that they have exceptional long life to them. They did have an issue with the gear box (splines?), however, the owners that I bought this bike from said that they had them replaced and fixed back when the bike was around 24,000 miles old. Never personally had an issue with any shifting with this bike, nor did the previous owners since the repair. There are some scuffs on the right side of the fairing, front fender and some scratches on the left mirror. All of these scratches and minor split on the left grip were all on the bike when I purchased and really don't detract from the overall aesthetics of the bike. This bike has never been dropped since I have owned her. I have tried to get clear closeups of all defects so that you will have a good idea of what shape this bike is in currently. I know I might be biased, but I believe that it is a great looking bike and everyone that has ever asked me about this bike has said that can't believe that it's a 2002. Has all the original tools.-- Owners manual-- Additional side mounted lights that have two settings. Setting one is a a low light LED light that help to draw attention to the bike. Setting 2 is a very bright halogen that could be used in very dark, low visibility conditions-- 100% Garage kept-- K&N Air Filter I hate to part with her, but I am having less and less time to ride and need the garage space.
