This is the "non plus ultra" for sporty offroad traveling. Alpine gravel passes, desert pistes mixed with dunes, bad roads at the end of the world - This is the perfect bike. In 2014 it was the first bike, serially equipped with Bosch's MSC: Motorcycle Stability Control. MSC enhances the existing package consisting of lean-sensitive traction control and ABS featuring a combined braking function with a world first: the first ever lean-sensitive cornering ABS. Together with its sister model, the 1190 Adventure R has been turned into what is currently the world's safest motorcycle - yet still with undiluted riding pleasure. Hence, the Adventure R is aimed at all those who take the term "adventure" even more literally. The 1190 Adventure R is without doubt the twin-cylinder enduro with the greatest offroad ability. Features May Include: Price/Performance The KTM 1190 Adventure R is not only lighter, more powerful and more dependable than ever; thanks to low fuel consumption, a 23-litre fuel tank and long service intervals of 15,000 km, it also hardly ever needs to take a break. Long Service Intervals A unique mix of the highest quality components combined with a fully developed and reliable engine allows extremely long service intervals of 15,000 km. TPMS (Tyre Pressure Monitoring System) As its name implies, the standard TPMS monitors tyre pressure (visible in the display) and warns the rider in the event of pressure loss, for example due to tyre damage. Brakes Precise application, powerful and free from fading: More than adequate deceleration is ensured on the 1190 Adventure R by Brembo brakes with the very finest components, such as 320 mm brake discs, radially mounted, four-piston brake callipers and a radial hand pump. At the rear, the braking energy flows into a generously dimensioned 268 mm disc. And not to forget: Everything supported by MSC with Bosch 9ME C-ABS. Steering Damper With so much propulsive power, the front wheel can become very light, which can quickly lead to unpleasant kick-back on uneven roads or following a slight stimulus at the handlebar. The Adventure R prevents this safely with a reliable and sensitive WP steering damper. Tyres Offroad standards demand suitable tools: The 1190 Adventure R rolls on wheels with 21" and 18" diameters - those who really want to ride off into the desert will find a wide selection of genuine offroad tyres in these dimensions. Contact Owen, Jason or Ken at 661-964-2222. 2014 Ducati Multistrada 1200 S Pikes Peak Race-proven The Pikes Peak Special Edition is a faithful replica of the Multistrada that has been victorious in the prestigious PPIHC three years running. Based on the S version, it includes all the elements typical of Ducati's sporting tradition such as Marchesini 3-spoke wheels and gritty carbon fiber accessories. 4 bikes in 1 Ducati's four-bikes-in-one concept is achieved by selecting from a choice of four pre-set Riding Modes programmed to instantly change the engine character and the riding parameters of the Multistrada 1200 - even while riding. The four modes are made possible by combining a number of class-leading technologies. An electronic Ride-by-Wire (RbW) system administers different mappings to regulate power delivery by interpreting the rider's throttle input, while the world-beating Ducati Traction Control system (DTC) uses eight levels of system interaction to enhance control by reducing wheel-spin. For 2013, ABS is also programmed to offer the optimum setting appropriate to the Riding Mode selected and, for the S' versions, Sachs electronic suspension front and rear not only configures the suspension set-up with Riding Mode appropriate electronic adjustment, but Ducati Skyhook Suspension (DSS) now also instantly reacts to additional inputs to maintain overall vehicle composure for a smoother ride. The "S" philosophy The new S Pikes Peak is the replica of the racing bike that has the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb race since 2010. The new Ducati Multistrada 1200 S Pikes Peak is offered in a new, aggressive red colour with white stripes inspired by the Ducati Corse style, which is the same colour scheme of the Multistrada 1200 that won the 2012 edition of the popular US race. The S Pikes Peak features superior equipment that enhances its style, performance and places emphasis on weight reduction: the extra lightweight forged 3-spoke Marchesini wheel rims are supplemented by a broad assortment of carbon components, including racing windscreen, front and rear mudguards, front air scoops, side extractors and engine guards. The dual-material seat with contrast red stitching lends an additional sporty touch.
