Features May Include: Testastretta 11° DS The new Monster 1200 family is powered by the second generation of Testastretta 11° DS engine, smoother and with dual spark plugs and a secondary air system. Dual Spark (DS) ignition uses two plugs per cylinder to ensure complete combustion in a very short time. A secondary air system similar to that of the 1199 Panigale has been introduced to optimise operation and reduce cyclic combustion variability without affecting emissions. A controlled flow of fresh air is supplied to the exhaust duct to enable complete oxidisation of hot unburnt gases, to effectively reduce hydrocarbon and carbon monoxide levels. Tailored ergonomics The new Monster 1200 range features a totally redefined size, and ergonomics designed to offer "one-bike-in-the-garage" versatility. The new Monster size ensures ample accomodations even for a rider 185 cm tall and a passenger 175 cm tall, also allowing baggage to be loaded without compromises. The seat position is very comfortable, allowing long distance riding if desired; the riding position is upright thanks to a high handlebar fixed close to the rider; and a passenger seat with easily removed cover, low passenger footpegs, and integrated passenger handles welcome anyone the rider wishes to bring along. The S 1000 RR revolutionized the supersports class when it first came out in 2009. Now it steps up to the very same challenge. The current S 1000 RR model has been completely revised: BMW Motorrad engineers have entirely revised the bike's technology, design and fittings. The result: in its origins a genuine Double R, on the road a new supersports machine. A facelift is not enough. The RR is the epitome of a superbike - and that applies to its design, too. Now in its third generation, you can instantly see its increased power. The profile is razor-sharp and extremely clear, the volume of the contours and shapes perfectly balanced. From the rear to the front section, every trim component has been redesigned - including the headlamp element, where the symmetry has been given greater emphasis. Increased output, reduced weight. The new S 1000 RR has an output of 199 hp - 6 hp more than its predecessor. But it is not just its higher rated output that makes the Double R faster and more agile. Weighing in at 450 lbs incl. ABS and traction control, it is some 8.8 lbs lighter than the previous version. Furthermore, it has a newly designed exhaust system as well as a new engine set-up for increased torque, an improved output curve and many other optimized details. Consistently revised down to the last detail. In addition to major changes to design and performance, it is primarily the technical details which allow the S 1000 RR to take such a quantum leap forward. The electronic suspension components DDC and DTC have been given a new set-up, as has the entire suspension. This ensures greatly improved traction as well as better feedback to the rider. The ideal adrenaline-booster in the form of a Ducati superbike. Architecture The engine has been designed as a structural element of the frame. As such, its architecture has been completely reviewed to ensure the best design in terms of structure, weight distribution and robustness. The cylinders, at a 90° angle to each other, are mounted on the crankcase to produce a 21° angle between the front cylinder and the horizontal plane. This allows the engine to sit forward, optimizing the distribution of weight between the front and rear ends and achieving the perfect position of the fastening points of the cylinder heads into the monocoque chassis of the 959 Panigale. Essential Desmo During the Superquadro's development the need to control large valves with the extremely precise Desmodromic system prompted engineers to replace the belt drive of previous Superbikes, mounted on the first Ducati Pantah in 1979, with a configuration mixing both chain and gears. This chain drive efficiently synchronizes the crankshaft and camshaft, and thanks to an automatic tensioner, ensures constant reliability and a reduction in routine maintenance costs. Flawless Performance The Superquadro is the most potent twin-cylinder engine on the planet, and in the 959 Panigale it produces a fantastic 157 hp@10,500 rpm, and 107.4 N-m of torque @9,000 rpm. And thanks to the sweet nature of the L-twin, and Riding Mode options, the rider is able to easily modulate this tremendous power and tailor it to his riding style and road conditions. Transmission The 959 Panigale features an advanced six-speed transmission with large diameter gears for superior strength. Perfectly controlling the power put to the ground is a hydraulically actuated multi-plate wet clutch, which has back-torque limiting "slipper" functionality to prevent hopping of the rear wheel during aggressive downshifts. 2006 Yamaha Yzf R6, I have a 2006 Yamaha R6 for sale. I have owned this bike since March of this year. I bought it from a friend of mine who owned it for its whole life. This bike has been meticulously maintained with oil changes every 2000 miles or less, valve adjustments twice within its life, throttle bodies adjusted every 5000 miles, coolant flushed and refilled every season. Stored in a warm garage with a trickle charger hooked up, fuel stabilizer in the gas tank, and a fresh oil change 100 miles ago. This R6 had been custom tuned for our elevation at 83F with 91 octane for an extremely smooth power band. This bike has also had a lot of work done on it. It has hand built $1100 projection style HID headlights, power commander 3 USB, full color changing under glow, it has been stretched out 6 inches, a brand new 530 chain, 15t front sprocket, zero gravity double bubble windscreen, new grips, carbon fiber tank pad, GYTR carbon fiber shorty slip on, bar end mirrors, flush mount turn signals, fender eliminator kit with led light, vinyl wrap on some of the fairings, high performance brake pads, braided stainless steel rear brake line. I do have most of the stock parts still with me that I can give to you when you buy this bike. I'm in no rush to see it go I would like to upgrade to a bigger bike or go to a super moto.
