Up for sale is my 2008 Yamaha YZF-R1. It has 18,600 miles and I am the second owner of the bike. This bike is very well taken care of. The last year before Yamaha went to crossplane technology. The motor makes more power than 90% can handle. The exhaust sound is very deep and not raspy; I repacked the exhaust cans 2k miles ago.This is a very very clean bike and has a few mods. The motor runs strong and starts right up. I have extensively worked on tuning the motor to run very smooth and power band is spread across the entire band. Off the line is really good as well. The ECU is flashed and is set to 100% throttle all the time but it is not twitchy; the fans turn on at 180F so the engine runs cool. The suspension has been tuned by Washington cycles and this bike holds line like no tomorrow.I have never dropped or stunted on this motorcycle. I have a clean title and it's ready to go. Good tires (Dunlop Q3), brakes are good, all fluids (engine oil, oil filter, brake fluid, coolant) has been recently flushed and spark plugs changed. All stickers are OEM and can be removed without leaving marks on the bike. No cracked fairings! The wheels are professionally painted to match the fairings and they look better than factory flat black.List of mods: 1. Flashed ECU and tuned for straight exhaust2. Two brothers exhaust with Leo Vince CAT delete3. Geartronic gear indicator (customizable background color and programmable shift light)4. Blaster X integrated tail light (strobes when you brake and wired to turn on hazard sequence)5. K&N high performance air filter6. HEL steel brake lines (front & rear)7. HIDs for low beam 6k temperature8. The headlights are covered with Lamin-x film which gives nice blue tint and headlights don't yellow or get scratched (This is completely peelable)9. Upgraded to 2009 R1 front rotors and EBC brake pads10. Vortex shorty levers11. Pazzo pre-load adjusters12. PUIG sliders and spools13. 90* stem valves - Refilling air is very easyNot looking for trade. I may entertain a reasonable offer; no low balling please. I know the value of this motorcycle; 18k is still nothing on these motors. They last more than 60 to 70k if taken care of.
