Up for sale is My 1968 Fiberfab Valkyrie kit car. This is a project car with extensive work remaining, and skill will be required to finish it. However, when finished it will be one unique and rare piece of American automotive history. I'm not going to go into the history of Fiberfab or the Valkyrie. This info is all available and easy to see on the internet. I have a huge amount of original paperwork and receipts that will all go with the car. This car has NEVER BEEN REGISTERED OR TITLED. If You might be the right new owner of this awesome car, read on, and I'll do My best to describe what could be one of the coolest deals on ebay. This is a first generation Valkyrie. The chassis and drivetrain are pretty much complete, and nearly everything to complete the car is included, (REALLY!!). Although it's not yet legal, the car does run, drive, shift, stop, and turn. The suspension, steering, brakes, fuel system, and cooling are all finished and intact. The front suspension is 1968 Corvair, with the lower control arms swapped side for side (This allowed for mounting the sway bar to the front of the suspension. The custom adjustable strut rods were also re-located to the front to allow for more foot room. Manual rack and pinion steering was installed, as well as a disc brake upgrade. The brake parts, bearings, seals, shocks, tires and wheels are all new. The front frame cross member was moved forward aprox. 4" and widened on the drivers side by about an inch and a half. The fiberglass foot box was removed and a steel box was built directly into the frame. the custom steering column is connected to the rack through a 2 to 1 steering quickener. This was all done to get more interior leg room. I'm 6'2"and 230# and needed as much room as I could get, and yes, I can get in and drive the car. The brake and clutch pedals and master cylinders are from Wilwood and the pedal height is adjustable. The brakes and clutch have been bled, but I would recommend a re-bleed of the brakes. the body has been located onto the frame, and front mounts are in, but the rear of the cab has not yet been locked down. The front of the body was cut off so it could be remounted as a tilt front end. The pivots and body work are not complete. the doors are set up "lambo"style. The drivers door is set, but the passenger side is not yet done. This won't take much to do, and I'll probably get to it this week. I have new Corvette outside door handles, billet inside door handles, and "Bear Jaw" latches. There are new vent window assemblies, and a new power window lift kit, as well as a set of nice used door windows and associated tracks. There is a New windshield with (used) trim and clips and a new back glass with a new rear seal, and new trim and clips. I also have various window felts, and a set of Mustang window seal retainers and seals that I believe can be modified and used. There is a complete aftermarket wiper kit that has been fit to the car, with new wiper arms, (but no blades). A Mohave heater is mounted under the dash. Ducting for the windshield defroster has not yet been built. I have a full set of Autometer "Cobra style " gauges, Including Reverse 180mph speedometer, Tachometer, fuel level, fuel pressure, oil temp, oil pres., coolant temp, and volts. The gauges are used but in perfect shape. The gas pedal is aluminum. I have a complete wiring harness, and a turn signal switch, ignition switch, and headlight switch. There are a new set of rectangular headlights, not quite installed, with built in turn signals, driving lights, fog lights, and a pair of led tail lights. the outside mirrors and an inside mirror are also included. The engine is a strong mid-seventies 350. I was told it was a low millage engine. I installed a new melling oil pump and pick-up as well as a new chrome oil pan, dual remote filters and a remote oil cooler, a new Crane cam and lifters with a new double roller timing chain. The new aluminum heads are from Flo-Tec and the intake is an Edelbrock performer eps.The carb is a 600 Holley with electric choke and modified with Quick fuel billet metering blocks, an adjustable vacuum secondary canister, and center pivot fuel bowls. the billet distributor and coil are from Petronics. The engine idles great, runs strong and is realistically around 370 h.p. Oil pressure holds steady above 50 lbs. and there are no issues. Cam is 272 intake and 278 exhaust duration (218/224 @ .050)and lift is .454 int. and .480 exhaust. I put in new pushrods and roller rockers as well. The headers are from Schoenfeld and are a true 180 design. The mufflers are from Thrush and are a baffle type, similar to a flowmaster. This thing sounds incredible! If You've never heard a true 180 header You'll be amazed by the unique "European" sound. The fuel system consists of an aluminum fuel cell with sender, and two electric fuel pumps. The cooling system has an aluminum high performance pump, aluminum radiator, and an electric fan with adjustable thermostatic control. The transmission is a 1968 Corvair (Saginaw) 4-speed, and the rear end has 3.50 gears and posi-traction. All the fluids are fresh, and there are no issues with the trans. or rear end. The clutch and pressure plate are new as well as the throwout bearing and the hydraulic slave cylinder. The rear end has adjustable lower struts, and has new adjustable coil-over shocks. the rear brakes are all new (new drums, shoes, wheel cylinders, and hardware ).The wheels are 18" FR-500's with new tires. If You prefer, I can give You a set of vintage 5 spoke 14" wheels with like new tires, see the last photo. This will be one awesome car when finished. With the power to weight ratio, a test drive will leave You grinning from ear to ear. It drives strait and true without issues. I've tried to be as clear as possible, but if You have any questions, please feel free to ask. I will NOT be relisting this. If You are interested or know someone who is, NOW IS THE TIME.... A500.00 non refundable deposit is required within 24 hours....NO EXCEPTIONS! I do reserve the right to end this early, as the car is for sale locally. Please make sure Your finances are in order, and please, No Haters! I know this is a lot of money, but this is a lot of car! Thanks for looking!
