Own a piece of American History, 1980 Super Deluxe Shay Reproduction Model A Roadster. This car is a one owner with 7k original miles! Owned by a family Attorney in MN, it has always been serviced at a Ford Dealership. These were the craze in the 1980’s built for and sold at Ford dealers in the U.S. It is presumed that 500 Super Deluxe Coupes were made by Shay for the 1980 year. 10,000 Shay Reproductions were made each year. There is a great website to learn more about them here: http://www.shayhistory.com/index.html This car is the Super Deluxe which means it came with two side mounted spare tires and much more. This car is built on a Ford Pinto Chassis, with a 4 cylinder and a 4 speed manual transmission. It shifts very smooth and runs great as well! The starter was just replaced, and it fires up every time, first start! Very reliable car, that looks like the actual model A from the 20’s. This car has front coil springs, rear leafs, front disc, rear drum and rack and pinion steering. It is equipped with an AudioVox AM/FM radio and cassette player. It has the back seat which folds out of the car, as well as the luggage trunk on the back which contains the side windows for the car. It has working lights and signals as well as windshield wipers.
