GT40 Replica for sale. I purchased the kit from DRB Sportscars about 10 years ago...got it about 90 % done...then life got in the way. DRB is highly respected in the replica industry...see their website drbsportscars.com The engine is 5.0 Ford with Trick Flow heads, 4 barrel carb, and Audi/Getrag 5-speed with cable shifter. The suspension and brakes are mostly C-4 Corvette parts....I'll post a list of all the parts used. The major work left to do includes: 1. Charge the A/C system (gotta have A/C in these cars) 2. Install the plexiglass headlight covers, side windows, back window, anti-sway bars, horns, taillights, side mirrors ( I have these parts) 3. Repair or replace the wiper motor (doesn't work when turned on) 4. Install an emergency brake (most people use a street rod handle such as Lokar) 5. Install the interior rug, headliner, etc (I have these parts) 6. Front and rear end alignment The engine runs....sounds great with the beautiful bundle of snakes exhaust. But that's as far as I got...the car has never been off the jackstands except for pictures. Additional pics can be sent upon request...but this is really a car that must be seen in person. Thanks.
