ONE OWNERTITLED AS 1936BUILT BY SPEEDSTER MOTORCARSBEST OF ALL REPLICAS!IMPECCABLE QUALITY! NOT all cars are created equal and here is why........ High end Speedster Motorcar built Auburn Replica! Only 569 miles since completion! Power steering, brakes, seat and windows! Air conditioning! Chrome wire wheels! Absolutely modern and 100% turn key ready for immediate enjoyment!!!The Auburn Boattail Speedster is considered one of the most striking cars to ever hit the open road! As Auburn dedicated itself to art-deco design styles, it employed some of the best designers of the era. With the model 851 and 852 Speedster credits going to designer Gordon Buehrig, very few were ever made before Auburn had to close its doors forever. Because of this, they became highly sought after for highline collectors and reproduced heavily by a great number of replica car manufactures for enthusiasts. One of the original manufactures was Antique Autos of America based out of Largo, FL. As a prominent classic car restoration facility already, it began to produce some of the most highly acknowledged Auburn and Cord replicas ever manufactured professionally! It was largely under the supervision of project manager, Michael Atkins, who now owns and operates Speedster Motorcars in their new facility in Glenville, NC!Speedster Motorcars produced this very striking 1936 Auburn Boattail 852 Speedster in 2004. Finished in a sporting shade of white over red Leather upholstery and black canvas top, this example is powered by a Vortec 5.3L V8, 4L60E 4-speed automatic transmission and 9” rear end! Complete with a host of factory equipment that includes staggered 15” wire spoke wheels wrapped in whitewall tires measuring 235/70R15 at the front and 275/60R15 at the rear, adjustable coil-over independent front suspension with tubular upper/lower control arms, machine-turned aluminum dash, air conditioning, Jensen CD3720 XM radio with Pioneer speakers, power steering, power 4-wheel disc brakes, power seat, power windows, tilt steering column, Lokar shift knob, stainless brake lines, transmission oil cooler, air horns, Stewart-Warner gauges, cowl lights with side mirrors, front fog lights, simulated engine exhaust ducting, hood ornament & badging, billet pedals and vents, seatbelts and rear exhaust turndowns! Safety items include emergency handbrake and turn signals. This car was purchased new at the Ferrari dealer at the Wynn Hotel in Las Vegas and it was transported to Texas where it has lived all of its life. it was driven only on sunny days and was started and hand cleaned periodically. The car survives today having been driven only 591 miles since completion! Fitted with a full convertible top and canvas tonneau cover, this Speedster would be just as much at home driving across the country as it would be parked at a show. The car is titled as a 2004 Auburn Speedster and should therefore have no issues at the DMV. The build quality of this car is still apparent today; all interior touch points and well as all exterior cosmetics are in fantastic condition with only the smallest signs of use. The car is sure to turn heads anywhere it goes and should make for many years of reliable transportation! For any additional questions, please feel free to give us a ring! You have the rare opportunity of owning a Lone Star Cobra. If you are in the market for a Cobra Replica do your research and you will find the Lone Stars are renowned for customer service and build quality, that is why you rarely see them for sale(http://www.ultimateclassiccars.com/ ). They hold up so well the original owners hold onto them and pass them down. They have been in business for more than 24 years and are expanding their line. A turn key entry model sells for over 55K. The model you are viewing has all the entry features plus: black leather interior; dual role bars; NASCAR sway bar; Currie 9in with 3.70 gears and posi with 4 wheeldisc brakes to include 4 link suspension with panhard bar; Front brakes are 13" SN95 Cobra PBR dual piston discs. Lone Stars were designed with quality and comfort in mind as they are about 4 inches longer than the original Cobra and all this room is in the cockpit to include dropped foot boxes. I am over 6'4" and have competitively raced this vehicle for several years. I tried to fit in many other Cobras out there and was unable to get my feet or body in the vehicle. This Cobra was hand built by an engineer to be competitively raced on the track. Since the builder was both an engineer and a perfectionist the Cobra looks more like a show car than a race car. This Cobra consistently places in car shows to include recent best Cobra in show at San Antonio Mustang show with over 200 vehicles competing. Several Cobras for sale in this class were for sale at twice the reserve of this vehicle. This Cobra has completed the Big Bend Open Road Race 5 times bringing home a third and second place (the second place was rescinded later on a technicality). You can go to the track with confidence knowing your Cobra is safe and dependable as it has competed at Texas Motor speedway, Harris Hill raceway and others. Only vehicle to compete in San Antonio Raceway car show and 1/4 mile drag racing (also only vehicle that drove itself to and from the track). Titled as 2007 Roadster. First registered in 2008. Painted in 2009. The car was built with a Ford crate racing engine from Ford Motorsports with 3 yr 50k mile warranty. It has a Holley double pumper, 650 CFM on a Weiand intake feeding Ford aluminum high-port 'Z' heads. Miloden deep sump 9 quart road racing oil pan. The transmission is a Ford Cobra TremecT-5. Alden Eagle coil-overs support all 4 corners with American Racing Torque-Thrust II 17" rims. Front suspension is based on Mustang II geometry with fully adjustable racing upper A-arms and NASCAR sway bar. Fully functional roll bars, not just for show as this Cobra has passed safety tech inspection at multiple tracks. One unique aspect of this car is that it has the racing blister windbreaks, no actual windshield. A windshield can be supplied with the car if the buyer wishes. I have so much confidence in these Lone Stars that I recently purchased another KIT to make a radical track car with so that is why I must part with this beauty. This Cobra is the one that feels at home at the track, car show or a long pleasure drive through the mountains or flats. This Cobra has been seen in Kit Car Builder multiple times see the links below. See May/June issue page 43 and 44.http://www.flipdocs.com/showbook.aspx?ID=10011589_340892https://www.kitcarclub.com/archives.htmlPictures of this beauty have also been on display in multiple art museums as well as featured in car book "Car Culture." See Link http://www.blurb.com/books/4724325-car-culture Page #15. Also, the winner will get a full set of assembly photos from the build. Cobra is licensed and registered street legal in state of Texas. Ask any questions any time. Dyno run can be seen here: https://youtu.be/QeGul5J0k1YFactory windshield is available. The #65 stickers are vinyl stick-on and can be taken off easily. Not painted on. Se photos of the car with out them.
