I have been asked if this car is titled as a mercedes..? well considering that the real Mercedes ssk roadster sells for 10 million, I think not. It is titled as the same as most other gazelle type 29 mercedes kit cars ... as a volks wagon. This one is on a modified aftermarket vw pan. Modified How? IT is front engine rear wheel drive. the rear end has trailing arms and coil springs. the front axle is still V.W. the engine is a 1.6 toyota (same block as 1.8) with 5 speed . toyota rear. It just had the timing belt done. runs great good on gas . it will make a great RAT ROD (eurotrash) or re-paint as a classic. I never could make up my mind. it was fun to drive all last summer but I have a deuce coupe that needs attention and am dwindling the collection down to the older hot rods and while this qualifies, it is just a bit too eurotrash for me. Im sticking to american street /rat rods.. this is obviously very solid rust free steel and i know it is very dependable.. it needs just your own personalization. great first rat rod for son daughter or wife. or be the only one at a classic car show WITH AN ALL STEEL version. your call. I am open to offers but realistically I turned down a real 3650 on ebay last fall and have the record to prove it. almost met reserve, butyou cant build it for that i have more than that in my 28 coupe empty body alone. so i will wait for the RIGHT buyer. I am not interested in trading it unless you have a pristine car of same cash value . 5k or best cash offer. that is my price. A newer big v-twin import bike would be nice. P.S. I have the front fenders for this .. If i should get around to painting them black.. I will update the photos . they are heavy steel and match the rear. yes you can drive this home but it has NO Roof !!!
