No title, listed as clear because there is no option for competition/race in listing. The bike can be vintage raced, or possibly registered depending on your mental state. The bike will come with a bill of sale. FYI - there are some expensive TZ yamaha parts on the bike so please feel free to ask questions if needed before bidding. Time capsule, one of a kind, early Funnybike from the 70's. This rare garage find was purchased at an estate sale last year. It was first build and raced by the head mechanic at Cycle Parts in East Detroit, Michigan in 1974. It was then set with the Hilborn fuel injection and ran on Methanol / Nitro. It did set an AHRA class record at Detroit Dragway before it was updated with the turbo in 1977. It only ran a few times at Milan Dragway, running a best of 9.21 before it was parked to sit until last year. The person who purchased it last year pulled the motor out for inspection and painting. I bought it this summer and finished the restoration with new paint on the bodywork and fenders, and rebuilt the brakes. I tracked down local racers that had info on the history of the bike to confirm it was running when it was parked in 77, it has aluminum R.C. Engineering rods and a 1055cc big bore kit. Sperry Fuel Controls, who did all the original fuel system build and calibration, confirmed it was set up with boost compensation and to run on methanol fuel. Chassis is a work of art done by the late Chuck Kurzawa from Logghe Stamping Co. using 4130 chromoly for everything while retaining only the lower engine mount cradle of the original Honda frame. To get it running again Sperry quoted $400 to get the fuel pump rebuilt and to clean and calibrate the fuel system. To race it again it would need new slicks and a copper head gasket to run big boost, the PO reassembled it with a Cometic MLS head gasket to get it running. Rear wheel still has some corrosion showing and the seat cover has a few small tears/holes. Clear title. Buyer arranges pick up or shipping. $500 PayPal deposit, balance due with certified check. For sale, museum piece or vintage racer! This bike was one of the last bikes to run on the beach at the Daytona 200. Jake Bodimer rode this bike there in 1958,1959 and the last year in 1960. His best finish there was 1959 with a 10th place finish. He rode this bike well into the 60's. These bikes were produced and raced from 1952 until it was replaced with the famous XR in 1969. This bike was a road racer in its day and the motor was put into a early year XL frame for the suspension instead of hardtail frame, making it much more competitive at races like Daytona. This bike also ran on flat tracks like the Springfield Mile in 1965. Great to see race records that recorded the VIN number of the bikes that raced! Anyone who knows old bikes will like the names that Jake raced against in 1965! I am the 4th owner of this great old racer. The 81 on the number plates commemorate Jakes 10th place finish in the Daytona 200 in 1959. The engine was replaced after he blew the engine on the first lap of the 1960 Daytona 200. A replacement engine was restamped by Jake. This bike was owned and raced by Jake until the late 60's then it was sold to a guy in Louisiana and then Richard Ennis of Hot Springs bought it in 1975 and would race it occasionally in vintage races. I got the bike from his estate when he passed away. He ran the number of 3n on it and his XR he owned. This is a rare chance to get one of 16 1957 KR's, especially one with race history. I have the title that was issued to Richard from the state of Louisiana in 1975 and the bill of sale where he purchased the bike.

This bike has been used for ministry and promotional purposes far more than it's been on the track. ...down twice with a low side on both sides. ...minimal cosmetic damage. I recently moved from the Austin, TX area and have carted this thing around the country with me. Always garaged in climate controlled area. I hasn't seen the race track in over a year but maintenance has been performed monthly to keep it fresh. New battery last month. Motor: 2400 miles on current motor. Taken from a new 2009 model that was wrecked immediately after purchase. Engine has 5 races, roughly 20 track days, and pulls exceptionally strong. Oil changed after each weekend. The sidecar is powered by an XS650 engine and the frame is new. This is a one of a kind frame build. Built by a builder that raced these sidecars in the US and Europe. This was built by Dutch Trash Choppers in Portland, OR. This Vintage Roadracing Sidecar is not fully complete, it has some things still needed to make it complete. This was being built to be raced in the SRA (Sidecar Racing Association) yearly racing series. It was built to the legal specs to race in the vintage sidecar series. Still Needed to be Complete: Wiring - the sidecar needs to be wired Fuel System - the sidecar needs a fuel cell Welds - most of the welds are done (in need of some tacked areas to be finished) Brakes - brakes are in place (need to be hooked up and adjusted) Chain - needs to have a chain installed Seat - needs to have a seat pan and padding (have template for seat pan) Includes everything that is seen in these photos.
