The original Supersonic 226 flat head engine runs, idles fine but will not stay running when put into gear usually after about 3-5minutes,(vacuum leak(s)carburetor? ignition issue?, may need a ballast resistor for the coil not sure) It has good compression on all six 120 psi+, electronic distibutor so no points, changed over to 12 volt, alternator and bracket installed, 4 Speed Hydramatic transmission rebuilt in 2011, manual brakes worked ok but just recently blew out a front wheel cylinder while moving it into the back yard, tires new in 2011. I also have a universal 12 circuit wiring harness I never installed included in the deal. Seats, carpet and dash upholstery need to be redone. It has great history. This car is originally from San Diego and belonged to the Kaiser Frazer dealership owner in lemon grove (where the home depo is now), and still has the original liscence plate frames from the dealership. This is a great car to take to the next level of restoration or to make it a custom rod. I have the title and registration current. Asking $4,250 or best offer.

This car is a stunning example of a numbers matching +4. I purchased the car two years ago as a previously restored car. After purchasing it in Connecticut in the fall of 2013, we took it on a 700 mile trip around the Northeast with no problems. This car is in such excellent condition it could be driven from coast to coast on Route 66, entered in popular rallies or car shows, reside in a museum, or simply driven and enjoyed around home. Virtually every time I've driven the car it has received a "thumbs up" from others who enjoy looking at it. It is a strikingly beautiful car. The restoration took place in 2007 and the car has been lovingly maintained since that time, undergoing continuous maintenance and sympathetic upgrades. It is a joy to drive. The car also comes with a Morgan Motor Company Chassis Record verifying originality, a “travel spares” kit which includes a car cover, spare fuel pump, a spare electronic ignition module, and a spare coil. In addition, a Restoration and Maintenance notebook, with several hundred digital photos, will be supplied with the car showing the purchase receipts for work accomplished, including partial records of the restoration. During the 2007 restoration, the car was stripped, old wood replaced, painted, and reassembled. The instruments were sent to Palo Alto Speedometer for restoration. A note summarizing the acquisition and restoration costs amounted to over $52,000 in 2007. The odometer indicates approximately 12,000 miles. I do not know when or if it was ever reset. The 2088cc TR4 engine runs extremely well, burns no oil, has no hot spots, and has excellent compression. A compression check verified the engine health. Running and driving, needs restoration. The design was based on an earlier show-car of Chrysler, named the Firearrow, which had been designed byVirgil Exner. The Dual-Ghia car was designed by Chrysler. The design was fairly conservative with single headlamps and slab-sided features, avoiding fins and other styling gimmicks. A four-place convertible was the only offering.A Dodge frame and drive-train was transported to Italy, where the bodywork was fabricated by the Italian Coachbuilder Ghia.
