Ready for restoration. This is a Chalmers, 4 seat Touring / Roadster Motorcar that I picked-up in a trade. I know little about it, but it is relatively complete. Many parts are present, some that are missing are: radiator, steering wheel, gauges, hood, and upholstery. Parts present include the straight-6 engine motor that was far ahead of its time. Other parts present include original wood-spoked wheels, ribs and frame for canvas top, frames and springs for seats, and frame for windscreen. Other parts can be seen in the photos. Manufactured in the U.S. by the Chalmers Motor Company. This is a pick-up only item, with CASH payment, only. NO money orders, Cashier's Check, personal check, etc. accepted. Paypal payment accepted, BUT, payment must clear and be available to seller before vehicle is released. Seller can arrange for it to be delivered for a separate fee. "Doyle's Natural Produce" This is an extremely rare 1931 Gotfredson Panel Wagon Produce Truck. The Gotfredson Truck Company built trucks in Canada and Michigan between 1920 and 1948. The history of the company along with lots of great information and pictures can be found at gotfredson (dot) org. Only two RB-34 Panel Wagons were built, with this one believed to be the only survivor. It was purchased by the current owner at the Earl Marhanka Truck Collection Auction in 1991. (An interesting side note; Earl paid $16,500 for the truck at auction in 1974). A complete body-off restoration was done in the 1990's, after which it was placed in storage. All new birds-eye maple was used in the restoration and the craftsmanship is impeccable. The seats were reupholstered with period correct Mohair. Included with the sale are photos documenting the build, historical documents related to this specific truck and Gotfredson Truck Co., along with receipts and other misc paperwork. The fuel and brake systems were just flushed out, the starter was rebuilt and a new 6 volt battery was just installed. The truck starts easily and runs, drives, shifts and stops. This is a limited edition 2007 mint condition Sun Trike. In perfect condition ready to rock and roll. One modification has been done to it and that is to extend the battery poles to the top of the trike so that charging is easy with negative on black and positive on red part of trike. It has a manual that is very clear on how to fix anything that might go wrong, gives specific parts names and can be done by anyone who can do small engine repair. I have just had a mechanic go over it with a fine tooth comb and it is good to go for years to come as long as you use it a couple of times a month.A new sun trike costs $8000 and requires that you do a 750 mile break-in at no more than 45 miles an hour. This trike is in perfect mint condition and has 950 miles so there is no need for a break in time. It will top speed out at 80+ when passing, but recommends no cruising above 65. It is small and like other motorcycles, people don't watch so that you have to do defensive driving. Altho it drives like a car, it requires a motorcycle license to drive it. You must take a written test (I will enclose a copy of the book) and pass a motorcycle driving course or take a driving test. It gets 80+ miles to the gallon and because it is a motorcycle insurance coverage in inexpensive. I have full coverage for 6 months with state farm for $28.The sun trike does not have a reverse-same as other motorcycles-however, it is extremely easy to push back-one hand will do it. It drives like a 4 wheeler over rocks, hills and dales which is nice. There are 2 wheels in front and one in the rear and it is very stable-this is not going to tip on you.There are two side by side seats with seatbelts. Storage is under the seats and there are a few rudimentary tools with it. It has a remote control for the radio and cd player. As the sun-trike is made in the US, it is extremely easy to get parts for it should the need arise. Along with the direct phone number for Sun Trike dealership, I have included the phone number of the previous owner, and the phone number of the mechanic that did the battery modification and the mechanic that fixed the short in the starter for me.The Sun Trike does not have a choke so it starts cold in the winter-no trouble with it starting up if you do it regularly but you do not want to let it sit for long periods or it will have to be trickle charged. I have a trickle charger that shuts off once the trike is charged that I will throw in so that if you have weeks of bad weather or can't drive the trike for weeks, you can just put the trickle charger on it and there will be no problems.
