I am selling this car for my mother, it is her car. This car was begun by my step-father who unfortunately became ill before it was finished. A few of his friends, including an experienced mechanic, helped bring the car to its current state. I am a car/motorcycle/boat restorer myself however I was not personally involved in this restoration. Therefore I am evaluating the car as objectively as possible by what I can see for myself and the numerous pictures and receipts I have found. I also have a stack of pictures showing the car in its original condition when it was purchased and throughout the restoration. I estimate my step father spent well over 20K in hard costs on this restoration. It starts to add up fast...everything appears to be new or reconditioned on this car. Yeah, I know you never get your money back on a project like this...asking price reflects a deeply discounted estimate of this cars current and potential value when finished. You will have a truly excellent hot rod if you make the effort to take it to the finish line. What the car has: Fat Man Mustang II front end Chevy V8 crate motor Air Conditioning Sterio CD player New Everything: chrome, interior, rubber seals, glass, etc. etc. What the car needs: Custom exhaust fabricated and installed. Front end alignment. Typical "shake-down" & "break-in" associated with this kind of restoration. Paint. Looks great in the pictures but is far from show quality. Very difficult to capture flaws with this color, I recommend a re-spray. I strongly advise prospective buyers to come and view the car in person or have it evaluated by a local third party service. The car is for sale "as is" in Napa, CA. It can be driven only far enough to load it on a transport vehicle because it has no exhaust. We have a standing offer from a local collector, therefore all offers below 12,500 will be automatically declined.
