Up for sale is my 2008 VW trike. This bike frame was made by the Bad Ass Trike Company. Google their website and see for yourself. The bike was then built from the frame by it's original owner and titled in Michigan. I added the finishing touches and it is now titled in Indiana where I live. This is a unique, one of a kind bike that steals the show everywhere I drive it, including Harley Davidson gatherings. The miles listed show what is showing on the odometer. I think that this is inaccurate and that there are less miles on the engine and chassis than that. I believe that the original builder simply used an older odometer that already had miles on it. It has what I believe to be a 1600 VW Bug engine, circa 1968. I believe that the original owner rebuilt the engine. It has a Cable Shift system, not the standard hard linkage. So this bike shifts EXCELLENT and doesn't need constant readjustment like the solid linkage needs. This was a $600 feature I added and it was a godsend. This bike does have REVERSE!!! The VW engine is in the mid-engine position and is reversed 180 degrees from the original Bug position. That is why it looks so cool and has the pulley's in the front. This also makes it more stable and less likely to pop wheelies. It has a throttle lock which also acts like cruise control on the highway. Very nice feature! It has a hitch to pull small motorcycle trailers. It gets excellent MPG in the upper 30's! Exhaust is a performance VW type with great sound but not deafening roar. JUST RIGHT! The down sides are small. It does have some nicks and scratches, and like most VW trikes, it does drip oil. I just keep it topped off as it isn't a lot. I love this bike and only selling due to arthritis in my hips making me need a bench seat or pass through type ride for comfort.
