Item Details Description1961 King Midget Model III. Body is in fair condition, floor pan is rotted out, some dings and dents. Has clean ownership in the form of a clean Ohio title. I will also furnish a notarized bill of sale as well. Engine and engine frame are removed, but included. It is a RESTORABLE car - it is NOT ready to run. Original transmission was in pieces and worn out, so I purchased a forward-neutral-reverse transmission from an 8 wheel atv which is included with the car. The transmission has a driven torque converter installed, and is ready to mount in the King Midget. The transmission was designed to handle the 2000 lb weight of the 8 wheeler and the extreme pressure of a skid-steer turning system - and the speed / horsepower of a 2 stroke twin cylinder engine. So there is no reason why it can not handle a 500 pound Micro Car. Transmission has sprocket output so it can drive a single wheel like the original drive system or use with heavy duty rear differential like a Spicer from a golf cart, peerless, etc. Original Wisconsin AENL is included if the buyer wants it, however it is not a high speed engine so the car would be better equipped with a Kohler K-Series (which was the standard engine starting in 1963), or a newer Briggs twin cylinder engine for the powerplant. Car is missing original transmission, rear wheels and tires. As far as I know, the rest of the car including the lights, dash, gauges, engine frame, are all there. Original gas tank is very good. Pick-up in Northern NY near the Village of Canton. Delivery is possible August 19th, 20th or 21st as we will be traveling to Ohio. Date of delivery will depend on location. We will be traveling on I 90 from Syracuse NY through Pennsylvania to South on I 271 by Cleveland, then down I71 to Columbus. We will only delivery within 10 miles of our specified route. Buyer must travel to a reasonable location NEAR our route. If buyer chooses delivery, we will contact the buyer before the trip to make arrangements for the delivery. There will be a $ 150.00 delivery fee if we meet the buyer to cover our expenses and tolls as it will require a trailer for safe transit. This fee must be paid before car is removed from the trailer. Payment by Cash, US Postal Money Order or Certified Bank Check ONLY! $ 200.00 Non - Refundable deposit through Paypal immediately after purchase. Balance due by specified method within 5 working days, or may be paid in CASH at the time of delivery. That means buyer gets a money order and sends it by Priority Mail the day after the purchase is made - not days later. If purchased after Friday August 14th, paypal deposit will have to be made and balance due must be paid in cash upon delivery. After Friday there will not be sufficient time for payment to be mailed.
