U R VIEWING MY "RARE" 1974 GREMLIN X! GUARANTEED 54,XXX. ACT. MLS! Car has a very COOL story! Its ORIGINAL owner parked the car in 1990 in his garage so he could put a header on it(he told me that he was/is a "CHEAP" person and that he wanted a header instead of its stock manifold because having it would increase its fuel economy! (I know last state inspection shows 1986 but I am just telling u here what was told to me by original owner who happens to be one sharp guy!) Anyways,as u can c in pics, I think that the amount that he had pd for header was like $210.00 from Super Shops here in Houston back in 1988(so I guess he had waited a couple of years before attempting to put it on ?). So, he started the job, he removed its original manifold BUT then he never touched it again! He told me that he had gotten his dad's truck for his newly founded business because he needed a truck so this was the only reason that this baby had gotten parked(HE JUST DIDN'T NEED IT ANYMORE BUT HE NEVER REALLY WANTED TO GET RID OF IT EITHER). And, he just never touched it again! Also, he told me that before he had parked it inside of his garage to swap manifold out for header, that it had ran/drove PERFECT and that it even had ICE COLD AC! I TOTALLY 100% BELIEVE EVERYTHING THIS GUY AND HIS BROTHER TOLD ME! They both were just SUPER NICE guys!!! Anyways, fast forward to 2015. He told me that he hadn't lived in the house for a long time where this had been stored for all of these years and that the house and the detached garage where this was stored were just falling apart(foundation issues) and that he was fixing to demolish everything so this baby had to find a new home! He also told me that before going into garage and never coming out until just a few days ago that its paint had looked perfect! So, I guess just a LOT of moisture/dampness getting into garage caused all of what u c in pics! But I get it, I've bought other vehicle's in the past that had the same exact blemishes/surface rust(tarnished chrome) and etc from being stored in a damp garage(s). And as u can c, I guess the HEAT sucked the color out of its original carpet(CRAZY)! CAR IS SOLID THOUGH FROM EVERYTHING THAT I CAN SEE! And, from my past experience in dealing with similar type "ISSUES" from vehicle's previously being stored in a damp garage, this surface rust can easily be addressed(I MEAN VERY EASILY TOO)!!! However, not such GR8 news for its chrome(most of it is really just too pitted to use again). But still, to re-chrome most parts it wouldn't really cost that much $(parts needing re-chroming r still in really good shape and also, this is a SMALL car so not a lot of chrome)! Or, u could just buy more chrome pieces that would be needed! I'M ONLY GOING TO LIST THIS, THIS ONE TIME! BECAUSE, I REALLY LOVE THIS LITTLE CAR(AND EVEN THOUGH I'M NOT REALLY A BIG AMC TYPE OF GUY, BESIDES ITS "STORY" AND IT BEING A 1-OWNER CAR, I'M JUST NUTSSS FOR ITS BEAUTIFUL COLOR COMBO, I'M A GREEEEN COLOR FREAK, PERIOD)!!! I bought it to restore and to keep but currently I am building a '71 Formula and then just today I bought a '69 El Camino so to be honest I am looking at 6 months minimum before this baby even gets touched(at least before it sees a body/paint shop anyways) SOOO, I figured that there is possibly an AMC guy out there who would love to have it too! But, if needed, I'll just sit on it until its time comes up to throw into body/paint shop. I honestly think that if u r a car-guy that a GRAND will get it up and going, stopping good, and etc. And I'll guess and say that CRAZY $ 2 grand gets it painted after having just a little body work done(EVEN LESS IF U CUT CORNERS LIKE NOT RE-PAINTING IT BACK IN BASE/CLEAR LIKE I'M PLANNING ON DOING). So, after shipping I can see EASILY someone being in this baby running/driving GR8/LOOKING SHARP FOR 7-8 GRAND(AND I'D BET THAT IT WOULD BE WORTH 10 GRAND, AT LEAST)! The only other thing that I can think of to say about it is, the switches on dash on left side of steering wheel r for 2 different air-horns! BESIDES AIR-HORNS AND I GUESS AN ADDED OLDSKOOL TAPE PLAYER(MOUNTED ON CENTER HUMP), CAR IS 100% ORIGINAL AND IS 100% COMPLETE! WHAT U C IS WHAT U GET! (I LOVE HOW IT'S EXTRA SET OF KEYS R STILL ON ITS ORIGINAL KEY-TAG FROM THE DLR, CRAZY)! I'VE BEEN AS HONEST HERE IN MY DESCRIPTION AS PREVIOUS OWNER WAS TO ME! IF U HAVE TO HAVE IT, JUST UNDERSTAND WHAT U R BUYING(A "PROJECT" CAR AND THAT "IT IS WHAT IT IS")! ALSO,PLEASE DO NOT HIT BUY IT NOW IF U DO NOT HAVE THE FUNDS TO PAY FOR IT, IF U CANNOT GET ME PD WITHIN 3 DAYS, AND, LAST, IF U POP ITS BUY IT NOW I WILL REQUIRE A $500.00 NON-REFUNDABLE PAYPAL DEPOSIT PD IMMEDIATELY(I WILL BILL U VIA PAYPAL THIS $ AMOUNT SO PLAN ON PAYING IT)! Last, again, its front brakes r stuck/LOCKED so if u needed this addressed for shipping I could try to find a mechanic to un-stick/unlock but cost for having this done would be on you! I have to see $3,550.00 for the car or else I will just keep it(I couldn't ever replace it, especially one with its BEAUTIFUL color combo)! If u need a fast/reliable auto transporter I can surely recommend one! THANX FOR LOOKING..... LAST PIC SHOWS IT INSIDE OF HIS GARAGE WHERE IT HAD SAT FOR THE LAST 25 YEARS!
