Thanks for taking a look at our 1967 Sunbeam Alpine Series V. Famous at vintage races and feared on the tight tracks, this great Alpine is set up for track use as well as a street legal driver. She runs and drives like a dream. Nimble top down motoring at the tap of the key. We purchased this rare car from a gentleman who had poured the better part of 5 years into making a “no excuses” track and street Alpine before life got in the way. There is extensive documentation on hand. Receipts show well thought out build with the much preferred Weber conversion, a smooth shifting transmission and beautiful handling. Over $8k in parts sales receipts are included in the build book. DMVThe fine automobile is licensed, titled and insured in California. The title is clear and all documentation is included. Exterior.Satin green metallic in a near concours quality finish, the paint has been polished and buffed to a high sheen. Excellent panel fit. Excellent chrome and trim. Built as a lightweight track car, much of the unnecessary trim has been omitted. Some spares are available. See pictures. This vehicle was made in UK for export to USA. It is a LEFT-hand drive. This car is just waiting for a new home where she might be cared for by a loving owner. The 1725 4-cylinder engine, twin Stromberg carbs, clutch & transmission are all original. All stripped, cleaned & rebuilt. Entire braking system was completely replaced/restored. Great stopping because a new, non-original servo for an Austin Healey/Jaquar bought from Moss Brothers was installed. Over 400 hours of skilled labor invested in this car. All above performed by previous owner. Less than 50,000 miles. Basic electrical system repaired/replaced. Distributor cap, rotor, points. Rebuilt speedometer head; rebuilt electrical tachometer cable; master cylinder; slave cylinder; alternator rebuilt; new ignition coil; seat belts installed. Rocker panels are in great shape (see photos), as is the frame. RUST/HOLES IN DRIVER'S FLOORBOARD (see photos). VEHICLE SAT IN A GARAGE IN MASSACHUSETTS FOR 27 YEARS; FLORIDA FOR 3+; AND 10 YEARS HERE ON THE SOUTH CAROLINA COAST. MY HOME IS ON THE MAY RIVER, SO SALT WATER IS 15 FEET FROM MY BACK DOOR. I will assist as/where possible with transportation for the buyer, which assistance will be at buyer's expense. NOTE: CAR HAS NOT BEEN DRIVEN IN 24 MONTHS. If you have any questions, please message me before end of auction. Thanks for looking! On Oct-25-15 at 07:44:31 PDT, seller added the following information: I DO NOT SELL TO ANYONE WITH FEWER THAN TEN (10) VERIFIABLE POSITIVE FEEDBACK RATINGS.

Very solid 1963 Sunbeam Alpine. No indication of any rust anywhere. Looks like original upholstery in fair to poor condition. Still has top and tonneau cover in poor shape. Had car running and yard driving and then I got to screwing around with timing and have not got it back running . Most everything is here including operational windshield wipers, directional signals and horn. Gauges all seem to work. I cleaned tank and replaced some lines and added an electric fuel pump for good measure(still have good mechanical pump). Clutch and gearbox shift perfectly. Brakes grabby but I have new wheel cylinders for rear. Wire rims and tires are great, although I don't know age of tires. I once heard a guy describe his paint job as being done with a bucket of paint and a mop...this paint job fits in that category. Unless you want car to be kind of a rat rod, it will need new paint. Original color was red. There is some bondo on body, but it seems to be for small dent repair, not rust. Car needs all new rubber at windows, etc. A lot of extra parts come with car: an extra transmission, a set of 4 hubs to replace wire wheels if you want to use minalite rims or any standard rims and a box of distributors, etc. As for the history of the car. According to the serial number it was bought in England and brought to states by private individual. The car has a clear Virginia title and it looks to be a replacement id plate on car. It was purchased last year from an estate of an elderly gentleman that had it in his garage and tinkered with it for 30 years. This car can easily become a very cool weekend driver or a proper restoration. Don't pass this up for a rust bucket. Am selling this due to age and too many projects. Sold as is, where is. Buyer is responsible for shipping, but I will help load (maybe if I have time, get it running).

1953 Sunbeam Alpine mark 1 a little history and info on the car. The Alpine Mark I and Mark III (no Mark II was made) were hand-built – as was the 90 drophead coupé – at Thrupp & Maberly coachbuilders from 1953 to 1955, and remained in production for only two years. Of the 1582 automobiles produced, 961 were exported to the USA and Canada, 445 stayed in the UK, and 175 went to other world markets. It has been estimated that perhaps as few as 200 have survived. very rare car. The Alpine was derived from the Sunbeam-Talbot 90 Saloon, and has become colloquially known as the "Talbot" Alpine. It was a two-seater sports roadster initially developed by Sunbeam-Talbot dealer George Hartwell in Bournemouth,[1] as a one-off rally car. It had its beginnings as a 1952 Sunbeam-Talbot drophead coupé, and was supposedly named by Norman Garrad of the works Competition Department, who was heavily involved in Sunbeam-Talbot's successes in the Alpine Rally during the early 1950s using the saloon models. The car has a four-cylinder 2267 cc engine from the saloon, but with a raised compression ratio. However, since it was developed from the saloon platform, it suffered from rigidity compromises despite extra side members in the chassis. The gearbox ratios were changed, and from 1954 an overdrive unit became standard. The gearchange lever was column-mounted It is registered non operational with a clear California title needs full restoration the car is complete a lot of the original parts are there. the car has been sitting for a number of years unknown if the engine will run the top has since ripped at the top since the pictures were taken. has a custom rumble seat in the rear car has been in California so it looks like theres no rust damage anywhere on body. please message me with any specific questions or to look at the car. here's your chance to own a rare piece of history or for a museum
