I got this project car from my father in-law; he had bought this some time in 1976 to work on it but, never got a chance to do anything with it and car sat in indoor warehouse until three years ago. The car has only 34000. Miles originally The car had minimum rust few spots and that was it. I had the inside gut it out and sand blast the floor clean and apply the rust coating which I should mentioned that all my sprays and coating was purchased from Eastwood company, Pricy but great quality. Changed all the padding and the carpet on the floor ,The seat covers are brand new kept the original shape and design but had it professionally done. The dash area was in good shape just repainted it, Radio works great, it’s the original and the screen on it is missing. I had it prewired should any one wants to add new stereo and speakers. The engine was completely redone; I bought most of the part from Kanter auto in Jersey and some form local shops in Tucson. Engine is 327 8 cylinder with 4 barrel carburetor. The engine cost me great deals of money, the radiator is brand new as well. Car runs great and sound very good, tires and breaks are brand new, the gas tank was opened and professionally cleaned. Under neat of the car was sand blasted and re coated (Eastwood Rubberized Rust Encapsulator Undercoating – Black) Basically the whole under neat was sand blasted and recoated. The paint was done the original color as well, Crescent Green I am so confident that I will be happy to take it to any mechanic of your choice to inspect the car. Problems: There is small chip on the back light cover of the driver side. Windshield was cracked during the mechanical work. The radiator shroud needs to be changed I had one from another car and had to modify it to fit in. not the major work, I am just tired of the project, do not have much time and patience any more, I thought it is something that I could do but, it is great for some that has a love for this thing. Not to mention 99.9 % is completed. I had mentioned the problems which not many. Do drive it on weekend; it is very rare to see this kind of the cars, again it runs great lots of power and fun! 1959 Rambler American Pro Street Wagon. This is running a 383 Chevy stroker roller motor. Mild cam. Aluminum radiator with new dual electric fans. Lots of Chrome. It has a 700R overdrive transmission with a Lokar shifter. New remote trans cooler. The Rambler has a custom built tube chassis, 4 link rear with a Dana 60 w/4:11 gears. Coil over shocks. Pro Star Wheels. The front is custom built A arm front with Flaming River manual steering and Coil over shocks. Disc Brakes on front and drum on back. Full cage on inside and tubbed. 8 gallon fuel cell. New Pro Car seats. It has vintage A/C but I have never turned it on. This is a fun car to drive and it gets a lot of attention where ever you are. It is a multi car show winner. I have never raced this car. We call it our "Bruiser Cruise" You can't be a big guy and fit in this car. There is more that I have forgotten to list. I have owned this vehicle for two years. I purchased it in the UK and had it shipped to the states. The pickup is right hand drive and has a custom bed lined in wood. During the time I have owned it I have replaced many parts. Just a month ago I replaced the following items: new clutch and pressure plate, front and rear brake shoes and turned the drums ,new water pump and hoses, fan blade, radiator flushed and new thermostat ,speedometer cable, new battery and other miscellaneous parts. Truck runs well and is a real looker gets a lot of attention wherever you drive. I am selling the truck because I have too many vehicles to maintain.
