I am listing this bike for a customer, no work was performed on the bike on our shop, everything was ready to go. It was purchased 5 years ago from the last owner, it has never been raced since the rebuild. I can confirm this is a three owner bike with 2 east coast owners and one from Northern California. According the the serial numbers, this is a 1974 Montesa VR250, which features the following:Rebuilt engine from Bond Wey that has only break in time on it.Newer Works Performance shocks, a US Specialties aluminum swingarm and a Rickman pipe.The forks are 35 mm Betors, I was told they were NOS when the bike was rebuilt.It also has Magura controls, an Emgo throttle and a Chain-tite tensioner. A new Goneli rear fender, the front fender is new as well.The paint is very nice on both the frame and the gas tank.The Pirelli front and rear tires show no signs of wear, they are not dry or cracking.The rims are straight, no tire iron gouges, scrapes or cracks. I am listing this bike for a customer, we have not worked on the bike. I do NOT have a title to this bike, I will issue a bill of sale.I'm not certain of the true mileage. I've researched the serial number of this bike, it appears that it is a 1976, some websites say 77 This 1976 Montesa 250 runs well, but is in need cosmetically.Although complete, the bike has seen an amateur spray paint job over most of the bike.It shifts fine, starts fairly easily and is a solid bike.A good candidate for restoration.Sold "AS IS" with no warranty expressed or implied.
