I never would have thought that life would make me do this, but I have to sell my prized possession, my 1996 KTM 550 MXC. I'm moving away for college and, unfortunately, I won't be able to bring my baby with me. It pains me to write this ad, but I have to suck it up and go through with it. I bought the bike a year ago from a friend and have basically fully built it since then. List of work/parts: -Full top end rebuild (Wiseco piston, rings, gaskets, repolished cylinder) (15 hrs since rebuild) (bottom end is good, barely worn, as you can tell by the last pic with the old piston, which is also barely worn) -Full front end swap from 2010 KTM 450 XC-W (triple clamps, forks, wheel, brake assembly, handlebars) -Magura hydraulic clutch (yes, this bike has a hydraulic clutch, which makes pulling the lever so much easier than a cable clutch) -FMF Fatty pipe and silencer -Trail Tech Vapor digital computer -Bridgestone Motocross-M403 front tire (90%) -Michelin Cross MC10 rear tire (90%) -UFO plastics with custom graphics -MSR wrap around handguards -RK 520 o-ring chain -Moose Racing 46T rear, 13T front sprocket -Ricochet aluminum pipe guard -Tugger rear lift strap -Reupholstered seat (cover and foam) -Dirt-Bike-Gear rear fender bag Maintenance (done 5 hrs ago): -New gear oil -New brake fluid (DOT 4 front and rear) -New brake pads (EBC front and rear) -New Twin Air air filter I think I covered everything. The bike is in perfect condition, it was babied by me for the past year. I mean, just look at it. It hasn't been ridden much, mostly a shelf queen that I took (on a trailer) to bike meets. I have a KTM 300 for riding. I have a huge box of all of the original/old parts (front forks, wheel, handlebars, triple clamps, brake assembly, clutch perch and lever, plastics, piston, rings, etc). Everything I took, off, I stored away. I also have a stack of papers (and a CD), consisting of mostly manuals and receipts, for the bike. The bike will come with all of that stuff. I do have a title for the bike. It is a Texas title. Any questions? Message me. Unfortunately, the time has come for me to say "goodbye" to my baby. I bought the bike in decent condition and started building it up throughout the winter and got it ready for this season. Here's what I did: New kick-start internal assembly a.k.a intermediate gear, seal ring, spring (the kick-start gear was worn out and slipped a lot) New FMF Gold Series Gnarly pipe and pipe guard Re-stuffed original FMF Powercore silencer New Boyeson Power Reeds (the 2-piece ones help smooth throttle out) New EBC clutch plates New clutch cover, case, water pump, and power-valve spring gasket New All Balls bearings in both wheels New JDJetting rebuild & jetting kit for the DFW area elevation and spring/fall temperatures New NGK spark plug Cleaned and re-greased linkage bearings New ProX brake pads New No-Toil air fliter New KORE barkbusters (orange) New Trackside break-away levers (black) New Motion Pro throttle cable (old one ripped) New plastics with custom graphics and decals New fork seals (I just replaced the seals and dust rings) Changed all fluids in bike with Motorex and Liqui-Moly (drained gas tank, engine oil, DOT 5.1 brake fluid, cooling fluid) Bed-lined subframe New carburetor drainage tubes Suspension adjusted for 175-195 lbs rider Throughout the course of building this bike, I replaced rusted bolts and other small details like that. The bike was used by me last autumn and raced once in a cross-country race. Nothing too serious, so the bike wasn't really ever damaged. The radiators aren't twisted, the handlebars aren't bent, and plastics are pretty much new. The engine was done by the previous owner before I bought it. The bike fires up within 3 kicks pretty much every time and usually on 1st kick when it's warm. Since I got it I put about 50 hours on it. Still starts within 3 kicks and has loads of power. I have the ORIGINAL instruction books for the bike including the service manual for the fork and shock. If the bike is so good then you are probably wondering why I'm selling it. Well, I'm going off to college this year and I don't even have a car yet so I figured it's time to buy one and therefore I need money. Send me an offer and maybe we can work something out.

Being offered is a 1980 Honda CR125, Racer. No expense was spared in the building of this bike, it is like new with only 3 heat cycles on the engine. The engine has all new OEM honda bearings, seals and gaskets, new steel and fiber clutch plates, The cylinder is on standard bore with new piston, rings, bearing, pin and clips. The carb is a rebuilt and jetted Keihin, new reeds are added also It has a NOS pipe with a dent free oem silencer. It has mint DID rims, New buchanon heavy guage stainless spokes and nipples, new tubes and locks, all new wheel bearings, seals and brake shoes, wrapped in new rubber. The front forks and trees are rust free 1980 cr250 originals, rebuilt with new seals and seal savers. The frame is solid, it has no repairs, rust, rewelds, crushed or damaged tubes, it has been powdercoated with RAL3020 in gloss red. The swingarm is powdercoated also, with new bearings and chain buffer. The rear shocks are 16" Fox airs, completely rebuilt by Thor also, they are in mint shape with no rash or damage, The chain rollers and sliders are new throughout, it has a new sprockets, 12t steel counter shaft and a 51t alloy Sprocket Specialties rear and a new black chain. The plastics are all new throughout, they are from VMX racing and very high quality, it has a new seat cover fitted over new seat foam also from VMX racing, the tank is a Oem 79 CR125 alloy unit that has been restored and is in perfect condition.It has new Vortex vintage bend bars , all the cables a NOS honda, it has period correct shorty levers, new Pro taper grips, side pull throttle and a new kill button. all bolts are new and stainless with stainless locknuts throughout. All axles and other hardware have been zinc plated back to original. Inside the uncracked air box is a new UNI Air filter. This bike runs and handles great, weight has been shaved off the bike wherever possible and it feels very nimble. It is very tight and feels like new. I purchased this bike is December 2007 as a new remaining stock from 2006. Bike was purchased new from Wild West Honda in Katy, TX. Adult owned and one owner. I don't have an hour meter on the bike however I was riding about two times per six months for about three years then went to once a year and now I have not ridden it other than to simply start it in over a year in a half. Other than starting in our neighborhood, the bike was only ridden on local motocross tracks. On my previous bike I used to race novice over 25 but only raced two times on this bike. The bike is stock minus aftermarket chains and sprockets. Tires are in great shape with three rides on them. I did have the valves redone by my mechanic about two years ago. The bike has been sitting in my garage and I have not started it in about a year so it will most likely need a carb cleaning. Please feel free to ask me any questions, I have the title in hand and just need it to go. I lost the desire to ride and we now wake surf so my loss is your gain.
