This is a nearly complete (missing clutch cover and silencer) and very rare 1979 KTM 420 project bike. It will require a total cosmetic and mechanical rebuild. If you are mechanically inclined and a vintage KTM fan this could be a good winter project for you.I have owned several vintage KTM' and the 79 KTM 420 is one of my favorites net to the 1981 KTM 495. I am selling off some of my vintage KTM's and this is a project I will never get to. You can get all the parts (pistons, bearings, sleeves, seals, etc from Enduroklassiker). With the right amount of time and effort it can be brought back to its original glory. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions. I will add more pictures in the next day or two. I do have some very good shippers I could refer.

This is a really nice example of a low hour 1984 Husqvarna WR500 that has had a light cosmetic and mechanical restoration. This is the last year of the air cooled 500 for Husky. I will go into detail below of what has been done to the bike. If you are looking for a Husky WR500 that is ready to race, trail ride or show than this is the bike for you. Please feel free to ask any questions you might have. I would be happy to answer them. The new owner will also get a clear title and original owners manual. Thank you Motor: this was a low hour bike to start with but just to be safe the bottom end had all the bearings and seals replaced and the top end done. Its a tight motor and starts first or second kick and runs great. It is also the original paint on the motor! Exhaust: Pipe and silencer have no dents and are near perfect. Paint finish is very nice. Seat: the seat base, seat foam and seat cover are all in great condition Frame: frame is straight and was sand blasted then powder coated the correct white. Wheels: rims are in really nice shape with no gouges and the spokes shine like new(see pic). The original Trellborg tires are still on the bike! Bodywork: The tank that is currently on the bike is a New aftermarket tank because the original tank was stained from fuel being left in it (Also the previous owner painted the original tank and it comes with the bike.I would seal the inside prior to putting fuel in it or it will bubble). The original tank is included with the bike. The Side panels and I believe the rear fender are original. Front fender is New and all the decals are New. SHIPPING: costs and arrangements are the responsibility of the buyer. I don't mind holding the bike for a while once it is paid for. I realize it takes time to make shipping arrangements and I want to make this a stress free experience for the buyer. I do have a pretty good list of shippers I would be happy to pass on to you. INTERNATIONAL BUYERS - I have several Over sea's Shipping services that I can refer you to that will crate and ship to countries like Australia, New Zealand, UK as well as other country's in Europe if you require those services. PAYMENT: Deposit is nonrefundable. Balance payment is due within 7 days of the auction ending. I will accept the balance of payment in the following ways-Bank transfer, cash in person, Bank of America cashiers check or USPS money orders.

For sale is a pretty rare 1981 KTM 250 I have had in the collection. I decided to part with it because I had a chance to acquire and equally rare 1981 KTM 495. If you are a KTM fan you already know how hard these bikes are to find in good condition This is a great find for a KTM fan. It has been a collector/display bike while in my possession. The previous owner had the frame and swing arm powder coated and the top end done. It has good compression and usually starts on the 1st or 2nd kick and idles as it should. The plastic and decals are new and there is new tank skin on this bike as well. Seat cover I new as well. I started working on the spokes with lace luster and they are looking great. You will need to go through this bike prior to prepare it for trail riding or racing. The shocks will need fresh oil and a charge, maybe seals but I don't see oil leaking (parts are available through Thor suspension). Forks seem good and there are no leaks. I just went through the carb this past weekend and thoroughly cleaned and rebuilt it (Parts for the Bing carb are available through the Bing Agency, US). I don't recall seeing another one of these models for sale over the past 5 + years. This is a very good core bike and would not take much effort to make it a real show piece. If you have any questions feel free to contact me and I would be happy to answer them. I realize this is quite a bit of money (at least it is for me) so I am ok with taking a two or three part payment as long as it does not stretch beyond a month or two. ( I will also be listing a few other rare vintage MX bikes soon). Thank you *** Here is a link to some video of the bike I just took today - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-9JNviCorHg SHIPPING: costs and arrangements are the responsibility of the buyer. I don't mind holding the bike for a while once it is paid for. I realize it takes time to make shipping arrangements and I want to make this a stress free experience for the buyer. This is a nice 1974 XR 75 core bike. It has been in storage for a long time.Engine has great compression.Usually starts on the first and runs great. This bike is fast even with my 210 pound butt on it! It has a New wire harness and I also sent the stator out to be completely refurbished with a brand new condenser, points and pickup coils (see pic). Below I will go into some details about the bike but if you have additional questions feel free to contact me. This is a nice bike as is and can be made even nicer! If you are an XR guy you know this is one of the most collectible years. (I am open to taking a part payment for this bike as long a it does not go beyond 8 weeks. We must discuss this prior to purchase). ** SEE LAST PICTURE - I am including some other parts with the bike Frame (# 1124969) - - - - clean, straight and no repairs Motor (# 1125016) - - - - clean, good compression and usually start first kick. The entire ignition system is new. (PLEASE NOTE: I noticed in one of the pictures there is only one screw holding the point cover on.I do have the other screw and will install it). I also installed a new aftermarket Carb. It runs great with the aftermarket carb but you will also get the original carb as well. Wheels: rear rim chrome is nice, front rim chrome has light pitting (see pic), tires are almost new Body: side panels, fenders and tank were professionally painted base coat/clear coat. No dent in the tank and tank was sealed. There is a scratch on the rear fender but it is behind the frame loop so its not to noticeable. Decals are new and there is a new petcock on the tank as well. Seat: cover & pan are in good shape Muffler: appears to be stock. small dent in rear and neck had a professional repair (see pic). Most of the early XR's don't even have the original pipe SHIPPING: costs and arrangements are the responsibility of the buyer. I don't mind holding the bike for a while once it is paid for. I realize it takes time to make shipping arrangements and I want to make this a stress free experience for the buyer. I do have a pretty good list of shippers I would be happy to pass on to you. For sale is a very rare race ready 1979 KTM420. This bike is not a show piece but could easily be made to look like one if you took the time to repaint the frame and motor. You would be hard pressed to find one with all the bugs ironed out like this one. I will go into detail below but if you have additional questions please feel free to contact me and I would be happy to answer them. You might think this price is high but keep in mind there is 3,500 in the wheels, motor and Ohlins alone. PLEASE NOTE: I can lower the price substantially if you want the bike with the stock wheels instead of the GOLD ones. The stock rims are in great shape but you will need new tires. *** There is no title for this bike but the new owner will get a Bill of Sale. Bike details: Frame - frame seems to be in great condition and I don't see crushed tubes under the engine cradle. The frame was not repainted during rebuild because this was meant to be a racer not a show piece. Bodywork - front / rear fender , side panels and front number plate are in nice shape. The tank is in nice shape as well but is discolored. If you are going to turn it into a show piece you can buy a tank skin from DC Plastics.Suspension - forks are in nice shape and were rebuilt with new oil and seals. The shocks are new Ohlin Piggybacks with just a few races on them.Motor - motor starts, runs and shifts as it should. This motor has excellent compression and sounds great. New seals are bearings were installed and a fresh top end was done. Kick starter and shifter are is original and in very nice shape. It has a Lectron carb and runs great with this set up. . Exhaust - New custom cone Pipe and the silencer is aluminum.Wheels - wheel are brand new. New Gold Sun rims laced with Buchanan stainless spokes. Tires are 95% fresh. Also a new Talon rear sprocket and chain.Seat - seat seems original and in overall nice shape. Controls - throttle seems to be stock , New Magura perch's, perch covers and lever's as well as new grips. SHIPPING: costs and arrangements are the responsibility of the buyer.
