This bike will only increase in value over time since BBR is no longer making custom frames and is built to beat any race bike in the 85 class. We bought it in Alabama, my daughter raced it all around Texas (beating boys consistently) and qualified for Loretta Lynn's on it twice. She outgrew it, moved up to a 250 at 16 years old and now it’s my super sweet pit bike. It pains me to see this bike not being used as we built it to race and perform. We have had so many great memories riding and racing this bike. The black outer edges of the rims are shiny where we have used a tire machine to change tires at the races, otherwise they are straight and sweet. This bike has been very well maintained like we do all of our bikes. I love this bike and really hate to sell it but it deserves to be raced and shown off by a proud young rider. If it doesn't sell I will continue to enjoy it. There has been more than $15k invested in this bike over time and it cannot be replaced or recreated again for anything close to that amount. Buy it now or make me a great offer. I have used RL Carriers to crate and ship my bikes port to port in the past for races and they are the best to use by far in my opinion. BBR does not title their custom frames so there is no title on this bike. I have copies of bill of sale and motor title from the person I bought it from. This is a first year Yamaha YZ400F(K1). I purchased it from the original owner in 2003 and I have always washed it after each ride and stored it indoors. This bike is sure to be a valuable collectors item someday. It is in perfect running condition with no leaks, no smoke, no noises, and no other problems. It has given me 12 years of faithful service without ever letting me down. The hour meter (second to last picture) indicates original engine hours from new at just over 106 hours. I have earned factory certification from Yamaha (as well as Honda, Suzuki, and Kawasaki) and have worked as both a technician and a service manager at a Yamaha dealership. I have performed every bit of maintenance and repair on this bike and have cared for it with only the best quality parts and workmanship. You may notice some aftermarket parts, such as the Applied top triple clamp and ProTaper handlebars, Ceet brand tall seat (Foam+cover), custom mounted OEM tachometer/hour meter, Clarke brand fuel tank (black plastic), as well as the custom exhaust mounted flag mount, and custom Yamaha blue painted valve cover. The less obvious parts include OEM heavy .46 kg/mm fork springs and OEM three position (on-off-reserve) WR400F fuel valve. I'm including many original parts which have been removed to fit the aftermarket parts including the stock triple clamp, seat foam and cover, the original gray painted valve cover, and the original fuel valve. Also included are the original items which came with each brand-new YZ400F; the complete factory service manual, the spoke wrench, and the triangle stand. I have the CLEAR state of California title in hand. The bike is currently California green-sticker registered until June of 2016. This bike is as good as it looks.
