service1st! Store If you are looking at this, then you probably already know that Cannondale, the high-end, technology-focused bicycle giant, had a brief foray into off-road motorcycles and ATVs. When introduced, they featured game-changing technology that many manufacturers still copy today. Their 440 off-road bike was named "Bike of The Year" by Dirt Rider magazine its first year out. This would still be considered a very high-tech motorcycle even today. Some examples of the high-tech features on this bike include the following: Fuel injection Liquid cooling with thru-the-frame coolant routing Aluminum twin-spar frame Ohlin suspension Electric start Hydraulic clutch and brakes with stainless steel braided lines Stainless steel exhaust The power plant has a very smooth power band, and the Ohlin suspension can soak up anything. Because of their limited production, they are VERY hard to find so don't miss out on this opportunity to own this solid and collectible piece of motorcycle history. I could easily part this bike out for more than I'm asking for it, but I'd hate to do that since it's in such nice condition. They aren't for everyone, but I hope someone will appreciate it as much as I do. If it doesn't sell complete, I will be parting it out so feel free to inquire if you are in need of any specific parts. BIDDING TERMS: The bike is being sold as-is as pictures. The bike ran well when it was put into storage six months ago, but I am not offering any warranties as I haven't started it since then because of the faulty starter, start button, and gas cap. I can help with arranging shipping in the continental U.S. if you let me know the following:City, State, Zip Code, and Destination Type (closest terminal pick up, commercial with loading dock and or forklift, or residential with lift gate - they are in order from cheapest to most expensive) Bike will be partially disassembled (handlebars, wheels, fork, and fluids will be removed and carefully crated. Please allow me a few days to disassemble and crate. The crated bike could weigh up to 400 lbs. Shipping will likely be at least $250 on the East Coast, and likely more on the West Coast.
