This motorcycle’s transformation is truly a rarity that has been unsuccessfully attempted upon many other Concours14s. Its naked physique is bold and strong. In my opinion, the only work left hereafter is personal customization, i.e. shock heights and aftermarket components. ALL CURRENT MECHANICAL PARTS ARE OEM & NO HOLES HAVE BEEN DRILLED OR TAPPED. You will be hard-pressed to find another like it on the streets, in online-forums, or anywhere. Please view all of the contents within this listing. The descriptions and photos are thorough to the best of my knowledge to ensure that you as the buyer receive what you are expecting. The photographed blemishes are present from having been ‘dropped’ twice at 5-10mph and rear-ending a vehicle at less than 1mph. The second drop declared the bike a total loss because the insurance estimate included existing blemishes from the first drop. The state of Nevada has issued the bike a "rebuilt" title. It is fully functional, rides straight, and shifts smooth. Power is always available through six-speeds up to about 150. I haven’t assessed passed 150 because of the headwinds, but it still had pull. Its agility, new lines of sight, acceleration, and braking capabilities truly set this bike from the rest. It has always been fueled with 91-grade and has had regular maintenance and replacements on its filters, spark plugs, brakes, and fluids. STOCK FEATURES Riding Position: affords reliable agility and function in the city and on the highway. Kawasaki’s Intelligent Proximity Activation Start System (KIPASS): theft deterrent that requires the included Kawasaki Keyring FOB to be within about 5 ft of the bike to A.)allow the key to be turned, and B.)activate the electronic control unit (ECU) LED Display Screen: Digital; Always displays Fuel Quantity, Total Mileage, and Coolant Temp; On-demand display of F&R Tire Pressures, Battery Charge, Current&Average mpg, Trips A&B Mileage; Displays Error Messages and Low-Fuel Notices when applicable Engine: Inline-Four four-stroke with Dual Overhead Cams; Direct Fuel Injection w/ Variable Valve Timing Rear Gear: Shaft-Driven Brakes: (F)&(R) ABS; hydraulic Rear Suspension: hand-adjustable firmness for quick personalization NEWER FEATURES ZX14 Ninja seats: Corbin brand, installed by original owner; It rides lower than the stock seat and boosts overall maneuverability. I assume the rust at the Seat Mounts/Braces (photographed) was present before being mounted to this bike Wiring (along original Forward-fairings’ inner walls): simply rerouted Under the Gas Tank, w/ individual alterations for PIAA lamps, Starter-Switch, Engine Stop-Switch, and Blinkers (described below) Head Lamps: PIAA LP530 (DOT Approved); w/ removable guards, LED, hot-white, fitted to their leads by the PIAA 'bullet-connectors' Light Dimmer Switch: ‘brights’ selection disconnected, (lights turn off when “brights” are selected) Starter button: soldered to the push-and-hold Passing/‘Flasher’ button on (L) Switch Module (original flasher wire: removed) Engine Stop-Switch: soldered to the push-and-hold Windshield Adjustment button on (L) Switch Module (original visor wire: removed) Blinkers: China brand; LED, fitted to their leads by standard 'bullet-connectors' (R) Switch Module w/ Hazard Blinker wire: Removed END OF WIRING Air-Intake Port Screens: Hand-made; aftermarket Engine Accents/Covers: Hand-made; aftermarket Exhaust Manifold: original; wrapped down to about 5 inches from the muffler connection Rear-Side Fenders: originals; spray-painted with primer, black, and enamel Front Fender: China brand; OEM replica, spray-painted with primer, black and silver, and enamel Mirrors: China brand; spray-painted with primer, black, and enamel Radiator: original; painted with black high temp paint Oil Control Solenoid: original; painted with black high temp paint (L) Handle-bar Riser: New OEM replacement Gas Tank: Used OEM Coolant Reservoir: used OEM; nylon painted with primer, silver and enamel (paint is flaking) Stator Generator Cover: used OEM; multiple chips in paint Spark Plugs: iridium; less than 1,500 miles Air Filter: K&N brand; reusable Oil Filter: K&N brand Tires: Dunlop Sportmax II; (F) less than 2000 miles, (R) less than 1,200 miles Brake Discs: used OEM; less than 8,000 miles each Brake Pads: Ceramic-Metallic; less than 3,500 miles Rear-wheel Fender: removed California Fuel Evaporative System: removed (FES is mandatory only in California) To date, UShip.com’s highest shipping price from Las Vegas to Maine is $781.
