1977 Harley Sportster. Good condition over all but in need of some TLC. Over all the chrome is good for the year with some minor pitting on the engine covers. Motor runs well and was rebuilt before I got it and I have put on about 1200 miles in three years. It has a new battery I just put in. Tires are good and brakes are good. The paint could use some work. There were tank decals or something that came off and left a mark. I tried cleaning and buffing but no luck so probably a repaint is in order.This bike just needs some one to ride it!! Because of the age it is sold as is where is and needs to be picked up. I may think about delivery for gas money if its not to far.

1977 Harley Davidson XLCH Sportster Clear clean numbers matching title. 16,400 Original miles before rebuild. 1000cc motor that underwent a whole overhaul before paint bearings gaskets and rings. Runs great. Frame has been chopped and small rake, tracks straight and true. Every aspect of the bike has been gone through including bearings, washers, nuts, bolts. As you can see from the pictures this bike is fully powder coated / painted. This bike started life as a 1974 Harley Sportster XLCH1000. It has had many tasteful modifications done. They're listed below:- S&S Stroker kit installed in the 1970s. Believe it to be 4 5/8". I have pictures of the internals so you can verify. This kit included forged flywheel/crank, rods, pistons, and cylinder base plates. It takes the engine from 1000cc to roughly 1200cc and increases the torque monumentally. It hasn't been 100mi since this stroker kit was installed; it's still in the break-in period.- Dual plugged heads, with an Accel coil powering the second set of plugs- Dyna Ignition Booster replacing the points condenser- Entirely converted to electric start. New chrome handlebar controls, starter + solenoid.- New extended kick arm and pedal- Hi-flow period-correct air filter assembly- Chrome squared horseshoe oil tank- JPcycles spin-on oil filter kit installed. No more oil filter in the tank (they're hard to source).- Larger oil cooler installed to cool the larger engine- Chrome rocker box covers, primary cover, right side engine cover, points cover, gauges, chain cover, and just about everything else that could be chrome.- Has original Bendix carb which is freshly rebuilt, but should have an adjustable main installed. I left the Bendix to maintain the stock look; If you're looking to get real power out of the bike, it would benefit from an S&S carb.- Drag pipes- This year it has had the top end redone with all new gaskets. - New paint job this winter- Rebuilt front brake master cylinder and caliper- Have new tank decals if you want themIt is about 99% of the way to an amazing daily driver. I have made friends with every person in my neighborhood because they all stop to comment on it. It just needs a few more things. - I've been using a small battery I had sitting around in it because I always kick start it. To use the electric start, you'll want to pick up a new battery. - I bought a generator for it but for whatever reason it doesn't seem to be putting out. Will probably need rebuilt, maybe just polarized. - The front tire is original so it should be replaced.This is an amazing bike that really needs a good home. They just don't make them with this character anymore. I've been fixing it up but unfortunately I'm moving across the country for graduate school and I can't swing the shipping. Otherwise I'd ride the wheels off of it. The bike, chromed out and in its current very good to excellent condition is worth $5-8K according to NADAguide. The cost to build this engine would be at least $1000 for the stroker kit plus quite a bit more for labor. Saddlebags,crashbar with lights,sissy bar,newer exhaust. Its loud and mean. Loved riding bike,but school is first! The bike has no warranty,and sold as as! 1976 HARLEY DAVIDSON AMF XLCH 1000 This is a completely unmolested original Sportster. This bike was purchased at an estate auction from a collection. It is the original paint, seat, exhaust, grips, pegs and more. I even think the tires are original. They are Continentals and if not original then they are period correct. Look at the pictures, I have looked the bike over and compared it to other "original" bikes and I think this is the real deal original. It is missing the insert for the air cleaner and I do believe the front lower tree should have a XLCH emblem. Outside of those two missing items this bike is original. It does have a new battery. The bike can be enjoyed as is or is a great candidate for a restoration. If kept original and ridden daily it will need some attention. The tires are rot and the shocks will need to be rebuilt. It can be used as it sits as the brakes work as well as the tach and odometer work. The dummy lights work for the gen/oil. The overall condition is average. The tires are rot and both fenders have a lot of chips as you can see in the pictures. The front exhaust has a small ding. The tank is in very good condition with one or two chips and the inside is very clean. The gauges clear covers are faded and discolored and one is cracked. This bike is kick start only. The bike has been on a short reliability run and the engine, clutch and transmission all work and sound as they should. The title will read EXEMPT from mileage because of age. I cannot verify that the mileage on the bike is truly 6K but my guess is it is because of condition and the possibility of the original tires.
