1976 HARLEY DAVIDSON AMF XLCH 1000 This is a completely unmolested original Sportster. This bike was purchased at an estate auction from a collection. It is the original paint, seat, exhaust, grips, pegs and more. I even think the tires are original. They are Continentals and if not original then they are period correct. Look at the pictures, I have looked the bike over and compared it to other "original" bikes and I think this is the real deal original. It is missing the insert for the air cleaner and I do believe the front lower tree should have a XLCH emblem. Outside of those two missing items this bike is original. It does have a new battery. The bike can be enjoyed as is or is a great candidate for a restoration. If kept original and ridden daily it will need some attention. The tires are rot and the shocks will need to be rebuilt. It can be used as it sits as the brakes work as well as the tach and odometer work. The dummy lights work for the gen/oil. The overall condition is average. The tires are rot and both fenders have a lot of chips as you can see in the pictures. The front exhaust has a small ding. The tank is in very good condition with one or two chips and the inside is very clean. The gauges clear covers are faded and discolored and one is cracked. This bike is kick start only. The bike has been on a short reliability run and the engine, clutch and transmission all work and sound as they should. The title will read EXEMPT from mileage because of age. I cannot verify that the mileage on the bike is truly 6K but my guess is it is because of condition and the possibility of the original tires. If you have any questions or would like to view this bike please call 484-639-3991. I do all viewings by appointment only. All bikes sold AS-IS. I do not finance. Local delivery can be arranged after payment. Full inventory at teppers.net. Teppers Auto Sales is located at 220 East Union St West Chester, PA 19382. View on YouTube

For sale is a an Original Paint 1972 Harley Sportster. This bike runs incredible, starts up with ease and idles nicely. I drove it about 100 miles and loved it. It has a brand new $150 heavy duty battery. I purchased this from a friend who ran into the side of a car that pulled out in front of him. The fender has some dents. The forks and the wheel were replaced. The motorcycle will need some work to be 100%, but again runs & drives as-is. Since it was involed in an accident, I always recommend having the bike checked for straightness. It will come with a PA Salvage title. Please ask any questions prior to bidding. Item is for sale locally. Bike located in West Chester, PA. Please read all descriptions thoroughly and ask all and any questions prior to bidding. Parts are used unless noted and wear should be expected with age. Always have trained proffesionals install your parts, and always consult with an expert prior to bidding or purchase. I am not responsible for incorrect fitment. I do my best to describe all items honestly and to the best of my ability. This item may fit a variety of models, so please check with your local parts expert prior to bidding.PLEASE ASK ANY QUESTIONS PRIOR TO BIDDING _gsrx_vers_568 (GS 6.7.3 (568))
This is 1973 Harley Sportster 1000cc. This was the last year for the true Harley, in 1974 they were AMF. This bike has only been started once since the motor rebuild. Although I have never personally started it. This was a project bike the guy never finished. I have a clear title and matching numbers. Call with any questions 740-441-9956.
Harley Davidson Series One, Limited Edition Sportster. This is a CLASSIC and rare bike. All original except battery, pipes and re-upholstered seat. Manual 4 speed 1000cc iron head. Speedometer is not current, because it isn't working, but reads close to 25,000 miles. Garage kept! This bike has been in the family since it was new and has only had 3 different riders on it. Please call or text 918-eight1four-4three7one. Serious inquries only please!!! No shipping, checks or dealers! Can take credit cards and possibly a trade (or trade plus cash). I would like to have a newer, lighter weight bike.Just looking to possibly entertain resonable offers. Heres the story behind this bike...In 1981, Harley got its independence from AMF thanks to a group of 13 investors led by Vaughn Beals and Willie G. To celebrate this, they released a few limited editions, including the Milwaukee Edition, and this bike, called the Limited Edition or the Series One. 1,000 were built, and this is #927.

Up for sale is my prized Harley that I did not think I would ever sell. But, injury has me unable to ride it the way it was intended. I bought it from a pilot in Indiana a few years back who added the full Vance & Hines race exhaust and Fuel Pack, axle and frame sliders, CRG folding bar end mirrors on Vance & Hines Zero rise flat track bars that are nice and wide giving the rider excellent leverage. I have a new set of Free Spirits 2" risers that I have yet to install that will be included with sale. He also added the tall Works rear shocks and now the bike is basically what they raced in the Vance & Hines series with these bikes in a spec class for a few years. Only other change would be to swap out the stock front 18" for a 17" wheel. I have added front floating rotors, scintered race pads, Corbin rear cowl cover with hand painted #1 AMF style. Stock rear pad and backrest included along with stock rear pegs, but you won't wanna use that stuff! I had the headlight replaced with a custom flat-track style smoked number plate with dual stacked LED headlights. It looks great and works even better. I also just bought a brand new battery from HD for the bike. The current one is fine and I added a pigtail to keep on a tender full-time, but thought it was about time for a new one this season. I will ship that with the bike and other parts. It runs and sounds better than any Harley I have ever seen/heard. My loss is your opportunity. Thanks for looking. All reasonable offers will be considered. I don't know why the pictures uploaded like this, but don't have time to change right now. If you are interested in the bike you can contact me directly for more pics and details. Thanks

Trim XLH 1000 IRONHEAD
1982 Harley Davidson Sportster XLH 1000. Ironhead. Not an AMF. This is a one-owner bike that was only used in the summer in NY. 46,549 original miles. It's in good shape, starts right up, and is ready to ride. It has the original engine and paint. The windshield, pipes, seat, air cleaner, and kickstand are aftermarket. The oil tank is factory but is a replacement. The bike had a new clutch and ignition installed in 2012. The battery is about two years old. Brakes are good. The rear tire tread is at 2/32"; the front is at 4/32". Everything on the bike works, including the lights, horn, turn signals, speedometer, etc. The engine has a real slight oil leak (a few drops per day), which is common for bikes from this era. The bike is on a NY title, which is clean and in-hand. Includes a soft bag (not pictured) and a factory HD cover. It has always been garaged up until a few days ago when I moved it outside to make room for the new bike. The bike is located in Maricopa, AZ (near Phoenix). Will assist with shipping.
Trim XLH 1000
This is a matching numbers 1983 Harley XLX Sportster Ironhead. One of the last years that Ironheads left the Harley Davidson Motor Company factory. In 1986 the Sportster Ironhead engine was replaced by the Sportster Evolution engine. Some consider the Ironhead engine to be the last real Harley. This motorcycle also marks the great come back of Harley Davidson from AMF. It has a 1000 CC engine, four speed transmission, chain final drive and disc brakes front and rear. I have both the solo and two up seat with no rips or tears. You get both. This beautiful Sportster is all original with the exception of the handlebars. Also fork gators were added but they are “Jammer” type that can be easily removed without disassembling the forks. Low 6300 original miles. She starts easily, the engine sounds and runs great. Transmission is smooth and tight and shifts with ease through all gears. Never dropped or ridden in the rain. All fluids were changed at about 5800 miles. There is a new AGM sealed battery as well. Always garaged and covered. There are no leaks. There is a small ding on the top of the rear fender (next to last photo). There are no issues with this bike. This motorcycle has a has a clear and current California registration and title. Buyer must make a $500 non-refundable PayPal deposit within 24 hours of auction's end. The balance to be paid by cash or check within 7 days of auction's end. I can recommend a motorcycle shipper that will provide door-to-door delivery almost anywhere in the 48 states for $760 or less.

This bike is a part of HD history. The 1978 Harley-Davidson XL-1000 Sportster was designed and released in honor of Harley-Davidson's 75th anniversary. Though Harley-Davidson's 75th anniversary took place while under the ownership of AMF, that certainly didn't prevent the release of special models to herald the occasion. The Harley-Davidson XL-1000 featured dual front disc brakes. Sportsters haven't typically been chosen to carry such honors, but along with some specially trimmed Big Twins, Harley built a limited run of celebratory XL-1000s in 1978. Highlighting the jet-black paint were gold striping and gold-tinted cast wheels, while a saddle trimmed in genuine leather added a touch of class. The Harley-Davidson XL-1000's speedometer and tachometer emerged from the headlamp housing. Also on hand were a special 2-into-1 exhaust header and dual front disc brakes. All Sportsters that year boasted a new electronic ignition system to replace the old points and coil setup On Oct-07-14 at 13:26:26 PDT, seller added the following information: Hi Chris, thank you for the inquiry, I had to go out and research the history a little more on the bike. First, Yes it runs, its legally plated, insured and used 1-2 times a week for a few miles just to keep it moving. Second its a rebuild title because the bike was bumped by a car and the previous owner laid the bike over. He stated the rim/tire and exhaust pipe had to be claimed on the insurance and therefor the title changed to a rebuild. All numbers match, the vin and all the badges on the bike and parts taken off say its a 75th anniversary. all the parts that were taken off from the previous owner ( I have not replaced anything other then oil) were in a box, and I went and picked those up today and they will go with the bike. Including the mirror and chrome cover that have the badges on them as well. There are some extra things like saddle bags included. I never put them on since I don't go that far. I am asking for what I got in it, didn't know its such a valuable collectible. I got it cheap and had fun on it and I'm a little big for the bike and would like a bigger one. Riding season up here is limited from May to September and not a big market, so I put it up here in hopes of getting money back. Now the gauges are not the original set, he replaced those with a newer set which showed 6000 miles on it. we since put 3500 on them so the original mileage may or most likely is off. I posted the mileage I know is on the bike for sure. For its age, shape, and this state this Harley is in great condition and would be a good started or collectible. thanks for asking and I hope this helps. The Vin#: 3a28825h8
