This started out as a 1973 Yamaha ct175. There is a ton of modifications. The biggest one being the rm125 liquid cooled motor. Everything but the gas tank and rear rim has been changed.. The bike runs and rides. Has some good parts on it like the tank and progressive rear shock off a vintage rm125. I think just the gas tank is worth some money. Parts have to be made for this bike not bought. Buy to keep on modifying it, for parts or just to have a cool toy.

You are looking at a very very nice all original 1973 Yamaha MX360. From my collection, this bike starts and runs very nicely and has not every been raced or abused. It is totally original right down to the original silencer on the exhaust. The pipe has no dents, no holes. The gas tank is as nice as you'll ever see inside with no rust. The bike even still has its' original rubber brake and clutch boots. Brakes, shifting, riding and handling are as they should be. This is an original bike from my collection that I am selling because I need to thin the herd as they say. Rare bike indeed and worthy of your interest. TIMS has a 1978 yamaha sr 500 for sale--weve raced it in the ahrma series this year but im going to another class and get another bike so i dont need this one anymore--we took 5th place at nola in the sound of singles 3 class in march--this bike has all the goodies needed for a competitive race bike--it has a wiseco hi compression 570 piston,carillo rod,ported head,oversize valves-it also has a modified frame more conducive for racing,tz wheels,fzr 600 front end with racetec internals,mikuni flat slide carb,redwing shocks,carbon fenders front and rear--it also has ebc rotors with brembo calipers and a pvl ignition that doesnt require a battery to run-it also has a steering damper,custom rear sets and a new kerker exhaust cannister-the pics show it 2 ways, one for sound of singles 3 and the other(last 3 pics) for superbike lightweight class--the tubular handle bar set up takes about 30-45 minutes to change so you could theoretically race it in sos 3 and sblw on the same day--the bike needs nothing but a rider and is ready to race again--TIMS will assist in shipping at new owners expense--this is a no reserve auction so dont miss out on this ready to race yamaha---it can be converted to street use but it will need a battery and alternator set up to drive any lights your laws in your state will require

Lots of good things about this vintage monster. Starts pretty easy, newer top end with tons of compression. I was told the clutch is newer as well. Goes through the gears. Tons of power. It is complete except one side number plate. New rear tire. No leaks that I can find. Overall fair condition considering the year. It would be great to ride as is or possible a great project to tear down and make it a collectible. I recently purchased this bike and it is just more than I need. Now for the bad. The worst thing I have seen on it would be the shifter is welded on the shift shaft. I cannot tell if the shaft was rounded out or the shifter. I would like to think it is the shifter that's worn but I can only guess. I did see a very small hole in the swingarm as pictured. The expansion chamber has had some repairs done. I have the kickstand but it is broken off and need welded back on. Motor runs strong no broken fins or repairs that I can see brakes both work clutch feels good frame looks solid plastics are stained scratched but not broken or cracked. swingarm has a very small hole in one side carb has broken piece where the bowl meets. (does not leak) suspension seems a little stiff in the rear and bouncy in the front both front and rear wheels seem to have flat spots, spokes all seem tight new rear tire 95% or better front tire is 60% If you have any questions please feel free to contact me. 724-797-5300 Alan This will be a bill of sale, I do not think they had titles in 1977 but I could be wrong. It was just serviced and starts, runs, and rides as good as it looks. (I was really surprised how fast it is) It starts 1st kick and will sit and idle all day. Does not leak a drop of anything. Wheels spin free and straight, brakes work great and all of the original plastics are there. I must stress this dirtbike has never been painted, touched up, or detailed. I do not have a title for this dirtbike but it has a clear history and will be sold with a notarized bill of sale.. I do not get involved with shipping, crating, or payment plans. This is a 1978 Yamaha XS 750 Special. It starts and runs goo, shifts smoothlyb through all gears and clutch and brakes work fine. The engine is not original. I believe it is from a 76 but not sure.The original air box has been removed and aftermarket air filter system installed. In line petcocks have been installed as over several months the petcocks leak a bit. Out on the road this machine is a pure joy to ride! It is smooth, powerful and handles excellently. What stuff does it need??? 1) rear tire is dry cracked. It would be a good idea to replace both tires. 2) the OEM air box has been ditched in favor of an aftermarket system 3) The head light does not turn on. It was working fin and then stopped. I have not taken the time to figure out why. May be a blown bulb, fuse??? I do not know. I am sure it is something very simple I encourage anyone interested to come take a look at it in person, poke & prod and take it for a short ride. This is a 1982 Yamaha XT 550. It starts and runs excellent, shifts correctly, clutch works fine.It is in overall very good condition given the year. It is NOT a museum piece or NOS!! What does it need..?? 1) it will need a battery 2) the baffle is rusted out of the silencer 3) rear brake shoes 4) The gas tank has a pin hole leak. It is not wet or dripping. It is slightly " damp " in that area. That area can bee seen in the pictures. ( it is very repairable ) 5) There is NO TITLE. I will gladly give you notarized bill of sale. 6) Choke cable needs replacing. The good stuff... oh ya here we go! 1) it has excellent compression ( you need a STRONG LEG! ) 2) rear tire has about 90% tread front about 75% 3) Still has all the original lighting and instrumentation. Although the tail light bulb will need replacing. 4) it is a real BALL TO RIDE!! This thing pulls like a mule!!... in ANY GEAR I encourage anyone with an interest to come look at it in person and take it for a short ride. 1980 Yamaha IT 250. The engine has OUTSTANDING compression, shifts great, clutch works smooth as butter and has NO issues. The chain and sprockets have extremely low wear, Mono shock has good dampening, brakes work well. The only real issue with this great classic machine is..... the plastic!! It will need new side panels, front fender, rear fender and the gas tank will need to be stripped of the unsightly white paint! It is pretty ugly BUT look past that... It is in excellent mechanical condition!! The head light does not work I assume it needs a bulb but, I do not know for sure.
