Honda CR250 Elsinore in very, very good unrestored condition. This is a fabulous bike for vintage MX or restoration to stock. I have been holding onto this one for a long time, it is my favorite vintage MX bike I have ever owned and it is the last one to leave. It has not been ridden in at least five years, always garaged. I have clear CA title to the bike, but it is not currently registered. This bike is mostly original, low hours, I am the second owner. This came from a cache of old CR250's that were discovered in some forgotten warehouse and were sold new-in-the-crate by Lemon Grove Honda many years after these were considered "obsolete". The cylinder is almost perfect inside and out--no broken fins, the chrome liner looks almost new. I installed new rings and reeds when I bought it just for good measure. I installed a '82 CR250 front end that works way better than the stock forks. More plush and no flexing like the stockers. It is legal for vintage racing. If you prefer, I will take these off and put the stock front end back on. It is in great condition but works nothing like the newer forks. The bike has a DG silencer, Pro Form Racing pipe in perfect condition (which has better mid-range than the stock pipe and makes the bike easier to ride or race as it does not have the vicious top end hit of the stock pipe), Works Performance shocks. There are no dents in the tank (the marks in the photos are reflection), no visible cracks in the plastics, perfect seat, no weird replacement nuts and bolts, no backyard repairs or welding work. Bike runs, shifts, and rides perfectly. It is a little dirty, but I'm not going to put water on it without being able to ride it afterwards. If you can find a better unrestored '79 CR250, buy it! I also have a huge amount of spares for this bike--contact me after the auction if you are interested. Check my feedback and buy with confidence. I have never had any negative feedback, and anyone I have sold a bike to has always been happy with it. Payment by bank wire transfer or cash only. Shipping to be arranged and paid for by the buyer. Do not bid if you can't pay via wire transfer or cash within five days after this closes. I will cancel the sale and re-list if you do. Auction may end at any time if sold locally.
The 1974 Honda CR250 Elsinore is considered to be one of the most collectible vintage motorcycles ever produced. This machine was originally built for AHRMA vintage motocross and ran one event at Unadilla. Then, the machine was taken completely apart and restored back to the present showroom condition. The bike is very original with every piece restored by painting, polishing, chrome plating, or replaced with NOS items. The motor runs, shifts, and clutches with normal Honda excellence. The tank is beautiful and dent-free. The forks are polished with new seals and chrome fork caps. The seat features a new pan and foam and looks brand new. The bodywork is all original Honda items except for the replica front numberplate. The rear shocks are super clean, however they probably had much better dampening 40 years ago. This bike is being sold with a Bill of Sale only, its does not have a Title. Here is a chance to own a beautiful piece of motocross history that will make you a proud owner.

Up for sale is my 1975 Honda MT250 Elsinore 2 stroke dirtbike. First off, it has NO TITLE and does NOT RUN. I tried bump starting it and it started to smoke out the pipe a bit. Good compression. It appears most of the parts are there besides the signals and taillight. The tank is spotless inside but does have some decent sized dents as seen, The seat has two small rips. Tires hold air. Rims are solid. Kick starter slips half the time which is a common issue. Right shock is bent. Petcock leaks. It will clean up nice with a little elbow grease. I am selling this to fund my cafe/brat style project. Please call or text me with any questions. I can also provide more pics. 260-227-1321
