Bike has been gone through down to every nut and bolt. Valves re-lapped and adjusted. All new gaskets and seals. (so far I can't find any leaks or seepage) All of the screws that were the #3 phillips style we all hate so much have been replaced with polished stainless steel allen heads. All of the screw holes in the head for the cam bearings and the valve cover have been heli-coiled to prevent stripped and or broken screws. Anti-sieze used on everything with a few exceptions where it would cause problems. Everything has either been freshly painted or polished. Many custom "one-off" parts. Front brakes are from a CBR954. Frame narrowed in the rear and all un-used tabs ground off. Frame was then sand blasted and painted. Tank has been treated and then coated with Caswell epoxy. "Pingel" style petcock. Oil pressure gauge in the center of the instrument cluster. LED indicators for the blinkers and high beam. Needs a different set of blinkers. I bought a cheap set off of Ebay and the lenses crack if you look at them funny. (To me that isn't a big deal since I usually don't run blinkers but, I made the wiring harness with provisions for them so, it's up to you) Custom wiring harness made with all new connectors of the appropriate style. (not BS Home Depot spades and butt connectors) Wiring is all high temp polyethylene insulated expensive stuff. I converted the alternator to a 3 phase from a 1980 model so the battery will stay charged. Also, the electric start actually works. Granted, a toddler could probably kick-start this thing but, it's nice to be able to just push the go button. It handles beautifully. Very neutral and stable. Transmission is perfect and shifts very nicely and smooth. Front brakes are extremely strong but, predictable. Really nice around town bar hopper kinda thing. It has a bit more power than I was expecting from a 650 and runs really nice. I'm pretty solid on the price. But, cash talks. Low-ball offers will be scornfully rejected.

For sale is a 1979 KZ650 C3 with just under 17K miles. This is a 2 owner bike that has spent the last 23 years in storage. It has a new Yuasa battery, Dyna coils and wires with oem CDI ignition system, new oring chain and sprockets, rear tire, rebuilt master cylinders and calipers, new fork seals with dust boots, rebuilt carbs, 2 out of 4 airbox boots replaced with new air filter and new halogen headlight. The factory paint shows some minor scuffs and scratches with almost no fading. The tank interior is perfectly clean as new and there is a dent above the left emblem as seen in pics. There is also a long shallow crease where something fell on it while in storage. There was a luggage rack installed at some point and scratched the sides of the tail fin down low. The left side cover has a crack on the front leading edge with a quality repair made from the inside and the original seat has a clean rust free base with all warning stickers; but could needs repair or a new cover. The chrome fenders still look good with minor flaws and the stock exhaust is totally solid with chrome wear from storage; but no dents or scrapes. The hard to find factory Toyo mirrors and grab handles are present and still in great shape! The original owner used this bike regularly until about 1991 according to the pile of insurance cards found under the seat with owners manual. The bike was parked for a leaky head gasket until about 2013 when the kid next door bought it. That owner bought a service manual, but luckily never attempted any repairs not being the mechanical type. I purchased it in May of this year and replaced the head gasket with a good quality oem unit from an early 80's model with better sealing capabilities. I only had to make a couple changes on the valve shimming and have since put 350 trouble free miles on it. The malfunctioning Kawasaki clean air system has been disabled and completely removed. I also performed other PM services such as swing arm and steering neck bearing lubrication and also converted the brake fluid to DOT 5 synthetic. Overall, this bike is in awesome survivor condition. It starts, runs, rides and stops beautifully and is very well mannered both in traffic and out on the highway with a smooth quiet engine and a nice tight transmission. This bike comes with owners manual, service manual, warranty letter, partial tool kit and one factory key that operates all 3 locks on the bike. The 79 C3 was the last year for the C as it was originally designed with triple disc brakes and probably the most reliable with auto cam chain tensioner from the factory. Although this bike shows cosmetic wear, it is in outstanding mechanical condition and is worthy of a restoration or use as is for a super dependable rider. All of the expensive and labor intensive services have already been done for you - just throw your plate on and ride it. Personal inspections are welcomed and encouraged - there is a $500 paypal deposit required at time of sale with balance to be paid within a week by cash or bank wire. Possible delivery is available in the northeast for a fee.

ONLY 400 miles on this extremely well preserved 1979 XS Eleven in Indigo Blue. It is all stock as it came from "Anaheim Motorcycles" in 1978 as a 1979 1100F model. The bike was first purchased in the fall of 1978 but it was only registered for 3 years up to 1981. I have the registration records 1978-1981 and the license plate sticker shows 1981 as well. As of last year the bike is registered in CA and has a clean title. When I bought the bike it had the original tires still in new condition. I decided to replace them with the OEM Bridgstone brand to stay as authentic as possible for safety reasons only. I still have the original tires and inner tubes which amazingly look new and are soft to the touch. The carburetors were professionally cleaned and refurbished using only new old stock (NOS) parts. The engine runs as it should considering it's basically a brand new machine. The exhaust system is in excellent condition, and sounds beautiful. The engine purrs at cruising speeds, but when you give it some gas it growls and accelerates with no hesitation. All bolts and nuts are like new. The new battery fires up the bike instantly and it idles perfectly. The XS11 has a stock 95 HP engine which makes it as fast as a modern motorcycle. The "Eleven" in the name not only stands for the displacement but also the quarter mile time (which is sub 12 seconds) achieved easily. Original owner's manual, toolkit, and emergency kick starter are also included. Asking 8,900 For fun you might want to search Youtube for the 1978 Castrol Production Bike Race at Amaroo Park where the XS1100 beat the rival 6 cylinder Honda CBX1000 and Suzuki GS1100, Ducati 900SS, and BMW R100S while no Kawasaki KZ1000 models were present the new Z1R made its debut.
