1975 Honda CB400F super sport cafe racer, perfect running, reliable daily rider, Emgo viper fairing is easily removed for the period correct look. Custom seat is excellent for getting down low on the gas tank without sliding off the back, it's an aftermarket foam and cover on the original factory seat pan, so it's a snap if you want to go back to stock. Yoshimura four into one exhaust, brand-new battery, SunPro voltage meter and custom installed crank case oil pressure gauge. Original handlebars have been replaced with VFR interceptor clip ons and controls. Factory paint, not a respray. Gas tank is perfectly clean inside. Factory turn signals. No trades, Electric start and kick start. 6 speed transmission. This is a true cold motorcycle, very desirable in the collector market. The first motorcycle to coin the term café racer. Only produced in 1975 1976 in 1977. On a true vintage piece of history for less than the price of a Chinese scooter.
I have well cared for collectors' bike which I simply do not have time to ride. It runs very well and is in great shape. It was recently serviced, has new tires, and is clean. Always garaged never laid down. If you are a collector, or simply want a bike that turns heads, please contact me.

Gorgeous CB400F. The photos speak for themselves. They were taken July 31 2015. I'm a private owner, not a dealer. I have a lovely collection of 28 motorcycles, but changing health means either leaving them mostly unused in the garage or house, or knowing someone else will enjoy the ones I choose to sell. The wheels are not stock, are much higher quality alloy and, along with the tires, are brand new. The carbs need to be cleaned, and a new battery is needed. The original tool kit comes with. I also have a NOS blue tank and matching side covers for a CB400F. I'll be selling those separately. I can deliver the 400F to Blaine, Washington, or a dealership in Bellingham, Washington. If you have any questions, you may call David at 360.945.7777. Buyers with negative feedback need not apply, and lowball offers won't be considered. Before long, I'll also be selling: 2012 Ducati Panigale Tricolore S2012 Kawasaki ZX141989 Honda Hawk GT650 with very low miles1984 Honda CB1100F1990 Bimota YB1981 Kawasaki GPz550 and 1989 Yamaha FZR400 with very low miles plus a 1990 FZR400 swingarm.
1975 HONDA CB 400 FOUR SUPER SPORT - ONLY 12,655 MILES This 1975 Honda CB 400 Four is nearly all original and being sold by Austin Vintage Cycle Austin Vintage Cycle is a restoration and service facility that specializes in all pre-fuel injected motorcycles. Austin Vintage Cycle provides full restoration services including custom built bikes. AVC's lead mechanic has over 30 years of building and tuning experience. Condition and Overview The CB 400 F (aka 400 FOUR Super Sport), was unveiled in 1975. It was an instant hit, a compact bike developed from and improved on from previous iterations in the CB series. The CB 400 F offers upgraded performance from the CB 350 (via an increased bore from 47mm to 51mm, bringing capacity up to 408cc). The CB 400 F Super Sport also boasts larger valves, six speed gearbox, offset chrome 4 into 1 exhaust system, a flatter angular fuel tank (and flat side panels), with transfers instead of badges, low handlebars, slightly rear set footrests and a studded seat. The 400 F has a sporty cafe racer look and feel, and offers a smooth riding feel across a wide variety of situations (including 2 up riding), giving you a feeling of control, and riding harmony with the road. There are many aftermarket parts available such as the Yoshimura big bore kit & modified camshafts. Other companies offer performance exhausts, electronic ignition, upgraded shocks & brakes, as well as cafe style seats & drop bars - in case you would like to modify it. This 1975 Honda 400 Four Super Sport is equipped with a side stand and a center stand which is handy for maintenance. It also has an electric start & a kick start. This is handy if the battery is low, as the starter robs the voltage to the ignition coils. After starting the bike from cold, it needs to warm up on part choke for a few minutes before setting off, or you could find yourself fumbling with the choke whilst riding. This little guy pulls well from the start (even with its peak power of 37 bhp at 8,500rpm and redline at 10,000 rpm), and with 6 gears to choose from you'll find your left foot is kept busy if you want to make the most of it. It accelerates well from 0-70 mph, which is the range where most riders will find themselves on this urban super sport. The seating position is slightly bent forward, giving a dominant street fighter feel. The bike handles very well at all speeds providing good cornering and a comfortable ride, and would make a great city commuter anywhere in the world. This well preserved 1975 Honda CB 400 F only has 12,655 miles on the odometer. The VIN number is CB400F-1027692, Date of Manufacture is 03/75, and Engine ID# is CB400FE-1028229. It is in very nice condition. The bike starts, runs, and shifts very well. The bike is all original with the following exceptions - which were made to get it roadworthy for the new owner: New "Varnish Blue" paint on gas tank and side covers ( professionally done and very nice ) New chrome exhaust muffler New dash lights/ console (replaced with new) New seat cover (replaced with new) New tires New cables for throttle, brake and clutch New master cylinder New switch gear for starter and kill switch at throttle side of handlebar We have gone through this bike and cleaned it from top to bottom and performed the following services: Installed new brake pads and rebuilt front caliper (with new brake fluid) Repainted front brake calipers Polished all chrome parts and accessories Cleaned and tuned all 4 carburetors Replaced all fluids All lights and electrics work perfectly, and the horn work so it will easily pass Texas vehicle inspection. There is not a bit of grease or dirt on this bike anywhere as it was given a very thorough detailing, even in the places you can't see. This is a very nice 1975 CB400F Supersport motorcycle. This bike is in great condition, it has new tires and battery, both wheels were recently respoked and the engine was stripped and re-coated due to gas leakage discoloring the paint. Original seat and body paint, there's a very small dent on the right side of the gas tank, not very noticeable. No accidents, just over 10,000 original miles. It runs and rides like new.

This is a very complete 400F, I picked this up with the intention of doing a full on as new restoration (I have recently started shifting my attention from British to 70's Japanese) but it turns out I am at least a year away so here it goes down the road, when I picked it up it was actually being ridden daily, It runs great but the electric start is not working (the button is missing), the side stand is missing (looks like it broke off and someone tried to weld), the exhaust is very good with the muffler having a few small dings and the header being dent free, the chrome is delaminating at some of the head pipes (nice enough to re-chrome), the bike is actually very quiet with the stock exhaust, it has a pair of progressive shocks, and brand new Bridgestone tires, I have a NY title in hand, it has miles but it seems pretty tight, the triple clamps are good with no cracking, the motor is pretty quiet but I would at least check the cam chain adjustment, I went through the carbs last weekend and it runs pretty close to perfect, starts on 1-2 kicks, idles, all the signals and brake lights work but it does need a headlight, again it is original from the bars to exhaust (with the exception of the shocks), and worth spending time on, there are a few buffs on the headlight ring and one gauge trim ring but no corresponding damage on anything else (?), as always shipping is the responsibility of the buyer and I reserve the right to end the auction at any time as the motorcycle is for sale locally.

1975 Honda CB400F Supersport First year bike in very original condition, all stock, the only part I can see missing is the chain guard. I bought the bike from the second owner, was purchased new in the next town by apparently a postman, the bike has been sitting in covered storage since 85 when I got it. I rebuilt the carbs with new seals, cleaned the tank and changed the fuel lines, rebuilt the front brake master cylinder and caliper and fitted a new battery. Oiled the chain and cleaned the bike and just generally got it to running and riding condition. It runs like a top, starts on both the kick start and electric start (had to fit an aftermarket start button, as this cb400f suffered the same brittle starter switch failure you always see on these and the 750's with the same switch...) all electrics work, needs a flasher relay which I will fit before it goes. The bike has the original owners manual, tool kit and the personal tag which reads 400SS, I really wanted to keep this but it's a shame to split it from the bike. The original paint is pretty good, there is a small dent on he top of the tank that I think could be popped out and another small dent at the back of the tank, the header on the far right has a little rash right on the corner, other than that the exhaust is in fantastic shape! The rest of the bike is generally good condition for it's age chrome is good, wiring is all intact and not chopped or messed with, tires are pretty tired and will need to be changed before any highway riding can be done, but they do run round with no flat spots and hold air well so could be used for short town stuff for the time being.... The clutch is a little whiney I think that could be just from sitting and might quiet down with use, but it shifts great through all gears. I do not currently have a title but if the buy it now price is agreed I will go and get the bike inspected and titled, which is an easy process on an antique bike in Kansas. Not in a hurry to sell, so please no low balls, bike is advertised elsewhere so may be removed at any time if sold. Thanks for looking, hope to find a home for this one.

Up for sale is a 1975 Honda CB400F These are rare and hard to find. I purchased this bike for a client to do a cafe build with but the guy backed out of it for financial reasons....His Loss is your gain ! This is a bare bones bike but it's a prime candidate for a complete cafe build and you're not paying for anything on the bike that you don't need. Compression on the engine is good and nice and smooth when turning engine over with the kickstarter.... What you see in the pic's is what you get but it's a great base to build a cafe with...or I can build one for you...after the purchase of the bike. I've got it listed for exactly what I've got in it including shipping so there's not alot of wiggle room on the price. I just sold one of these that was pretty clean for over 3K so it's a pretty good deal. This Bike is also for sale locally so I reserve the right to end this ebay sale early.

1975 Honda CB400F. This is an early production bike, #4366 off the assembly line. Valves recently adjusted, Carbs cleaned, fresh oil & filter. KONI shocks & Proggressive fork springs, Metzler tires are in good shape for many more miles. DYNA coils and eltronic ignition, no points. Bar end mirrors and seat cover are after market items. The seat has a small, 1/2", tear, a minor shop incident that did not involve any other parts. The seat foam is new and a big improvement over stock. The muffler is also an after market slip on, the header is original. The stock air box is in place, but I've installed a washable oiled foam air filter. The front brake rotor has been drilled. I've put most of the 33+ thousand miles on the bike, and done all regular maintenance. It starts easily with one kick and settles into a nice, even idle. Sounds very inoccent at idle but has an intoxicating howl from 6,000 rpms up. As addicting as this bike is, I've decided to let it go to some one (probably younger than I) to enjoy for the next 33km. Please note, this is not a showroom left over. Far from it. It is a very well loved, polished, patinaed, slightly modified, classic bike that handles like the hand of god. Tellepathic even. So different from the elephant wrestling handling of the 750's. At 390lbs. it is a joy to flick into corners. Thanks for checking out my ad and happy motoring!
