I think She is a Bargain & is a Nice Example of a SUPER LOW HOUR Very Presentable 1970 DT-1 (That is really the last of the TRUE Original Series DT-1's) that was Just cosmetically Etc Restored ! ! ! A nice example of a 1968-1970 DT-1 like this NADA.com Value Guides for nearly $7,000.00 ( $6,700.00 to be exact ! ! !) > & Best of All this Beauty has SO Little Use on Her "ONLY~4758 Miles" as she has been in Dry Covered storage for ~FOUR DECADEs...We Inspected her engine & just had her Transmission Rebuilt Jan 2017 & "YES"...She RUNS GREAT ! >>> > > * * "INCLUDED FREE TO THE NEW OWNER": I will be including along with the bike "TWO BRAND NEW" DUNLAP STYLE reissue "High Quality STREET RATED TIRES" (That Look ~Just like the Tires that came NEW from YAMAHA with this Bike back in 1970) by Shinko 1) a"400X18 Rear Tire" & 2) a "350 X 19 Front Tire" & "TWO BRAND NEW TUBES" ! I will be including these...."FREE TO THE NEW OWNER" of this WONDERFUL BIKE ! ! * * * PLEASE NOTE: This Wonderful "1970" 250cc YAMAHA DT1 ENDURO.That still has the Majority of the Original DT-1 Main Components as listed here...& as you can see ..we disassembled cleaned painted & or restored the following details ...Her Original 1970 Gas Tank has "Brand New Custom YAMAHA Style "Candy Apple RED" style paint" with YAMAHA Re-issue Beautiful "Chrome/Black" YAMAHA Gas Tank Badges + & also her Brand new CANDY APPLE RED Oil Tank style Custom Paint, Striping & YAMAHA ENDURO Graphics" & Early style Muffler Chrome heat guard , & Her seat was Rebuilt from the Frame Up..Early style Custom Made Pleated style Seat that was Rebuilt From the FRAME UP ! etc etc...Therefore, I think .."She is the Very Best of All Worlds" ...As you can see being a 1970 She has the very last year of the "Original Series Style 1968 thru 1970 YAMAHA (ORIGINAL style) Original Early style Rectangular tubing swing arm (not the 1971 to present round tube swing arm style) & also.. She also has the Original Style 1968 thru 1970 Early (ORIGINAL) style steel lower Fork Legs (& Not the 1971 & newer thicker chunkier style fork legs)...Therefore, to my eyes & most other motorcycle Enthusiasts (unless you are some kind of a concourse nit picker or something) ...Most anyone Would Be very Proud to Own this Great Running fairly Original "FIRST" Series 250 YAMAHA DT-1 ENDURO ) ! ! ! ! ...( Think about it ...."When was the last time you or most anyone else have actually saw a real deal 1970 YAMAHA 250 ENDURO running & Looking This GREAT...right in front of you" ? So YES ! ! I Think that She is Nothing Short of AMAZING ! ....I consider the 1970 DT-1 to be the very last year that really looks like the Original Series 1968-1970 Style Looks & YES ! being a 1970 She ..YES! She Has an ORIGINAL YAMAHA's First Generation DT-1 "FAR MORE COLLECTABLE" FIRST GENERATION "Original Piston Port" induction Style Engine "Which I have been told over the years is "FAR More VINTAGE "AHRMA" RACE-ABLE" ! ! ! ! The NADA Value Guide Price of a 1970 is exactly the same as a 1968, 1969 & 1970 .....But, unfortunately in 1972 & newer Enduros the price of the Non original series Yamaha (72 Up ENDUROs) Drops a Lot !!!!!! * * * PLEASE NOTE &* IMPORTANT PLEASE READ THIS (& also the Entire Auction) BEFORE Bidding on this Wonderful Classic Bike: This Wonderful 1970 250 YAMAHA DT1 ENDURO We Cosmetically restored the Wonderful Low Miles (~4758 miles 1970 YAMAHA DT-1 Also Please Note: I have been running her for several days up & down my street & YES! Which to collectors makes Her FAR More Desirable & Collectable (as we get almost no rain here at all, for the last decades on average Typically we only Only about 2 to 3 inches of rain a year ...& in our very moderate area & Most of the time not even that much) & the Temperatures are most of the time are also a Museum like 65 - 75 degrees the Majority of the year ! ! (As Los Angeles Area was Originally Considered a Semi Arid Dessert (Most all of the plants you see here have been imported in to this area !!!) ......Again, These Wonderful DT-1's are Famous for: Always being a High Quality, Super Simple & Inexpensive + Super Easy To Maintain, Durable , RELIABLE + EASY TO RIDE , FUN, Go Most Any Where Bike ...for families Around the World !!! So She is a True "No Brain-er Deal" for what I have her listed for Especially when you consider She has had a FACTORY YAMAHA ~1970 Warranty Replacement Engine (this can be easily proven by her engines serial # omission (IE) is factory blank) She Runs like it is 1970 again ! ! & She has "TONS" of Compression & ...YES ! !..She Starts & Runs GREAT ! Also ...Think about how little use is on this Beauties Chassis ONLY 4758 miles & how long (~40) years she has been in Dry Covered storage ! ! ! ! ! ! & also Think About it...Where can you find another 1968-70 DT-1 Like this ...these days ...nearly "HALF A CENTURY LATTER" ..in nearly 2017 !!!! !!!!!!!! "My Mechanic thinks she still has Her Original YAMAHA Mounted in 1970 Dunlap Trails Universal style Front Tire" ! The DT-1 YAMAHA 250 ENDURO is WORLD KNOWN for their RELIABILITY, DURABILITY, & Easy Simple Maintenance...She is definitely one of the All Time Worlds Best & Favorite Classic Vintage Japanese ENDURO's In Fact YAMAHA Started & I feel Perfected the "High Quality Japanese ENDURO" for the Worlds PLEASURE !!!! For the last several Months we Did her Cosmetic Restoration.. My Mechanic & I disassembled Her thoroughly Inspected Her Engines Top End Her, Piston and Rings Crankshaft & Rod Bearing, Clutch, Gaskets Carburetor etc etc etc etc etc & She has Very low hours on Her Engine > I was told her engine was replaced just a few hours of use before she was Placed in storage ~40 years ago) >...& YES! This Wonderful Bike Starts Super Easy & Runs GREAT Her Clutch , Control cables & Brakes All work Great ! I had the Seat Professionally "Rebuilt from the Frame Up" and we Nearly completely dissembled this wonderful Bike & also Refinished most All of Her Main Components were cleaned, repainted and then my Mechanic and I re-assembled her "by hand" piece by piece. She has BOTH a Front Dunlap tread style Trials Universal Style re-issue Tires ! & a NICE PIRELLI Trials Universal Style re-issue Rear Tire ! & I will be including FREE to the Lucky New Owner Two Brand New Reissue Street legal tires & Tubes. Again, This Magnificent Beauty Starts Great + Runs Amazing & She Shifts & Stops Excellent etc etc + all of her Control cables Brakes Etc Etc all seem to work Great as Well. Her Prior owner used her very rarely and also re-purposed her for more off-road use but, as you can see I have re-installed all of her head & Tail lights etc again and if you want to run a battery I will be INCLUDING "FREE" a "BRAND NEW" battery in it's N.O.S. box for her... ! It looks like her Headlight & Taillights look to be present & look to be in fairly good Shape. But, I have not spent any time to figure out what it will take to get the lights electrically re-hooked up & working etc.as these are VERY VINTAGE RACE-Able bikes so there is a Very High Likelihood that this Beauty may end up as a Vintage Dirt Racer ?? Here is some More GREAT NEWS ! I have the DMV Computer Print Out on This Wonderful Bike & because she has been in storage for so long she is 100% off the DMV Computers & Therefore..She is 100% Free & 100% Clear of ANY and ALL back fees, 100% Free & 100% Clear of any and all back registrations & 100% Free & Clear of any and all back penalties as she has been in Dry Covered Storage so long that she is 100% off the DMV system at this time (& I will be including the DMV PComputer print out that Proves all of this) also, Included with This Wonderful Bike...I will be including a California DMV (NOTARIZED) "Transfer of Ownership" (Notarized, Equiv. of a Bill of Sale) from myself to you the new owner.. which from what I hear in neighboring states, should be what you need to register it if you live outside of California. ... If you just want to Vintage Race this bike... the DMV "Bill of Sale" is all you will need...Again, YES ! ..I will also include the California Department of Motor Vehicles Current DMV Computer Print Out on this Wonderful Bike that shows & Proves that because this Beauty was in Covered dry storage for the past aprox. FOUR+ Decades & because of this... (after typically aprox. 7-8 years here in California) there are No current DMV Computer records (WHICH IS REALLY GOOD NEWS) on this Wonderful bike & therefore there should be NO back fees and NO back taxes etc etc. etc. owed on this Wonderful Dual Purpose 250cc YAMAHA ENDURO or Vintage racing Bike. If you live inside California & If you race Vintage Bike Meets on Private MotoCross Tracks or (Vintage Bike Shows etc) the Notarized Calif. DMV "Bill of Sale" is all you will need. If for some reason ..you want to go cow trail ridding on California etc Government National Forest Land etc land & feel you a may want a National Forest etc DMV "Green Sticker" Or if you want a current License plate sticker to be able to street legal ride this Wonderful Dual Purpose Beauty...My Vehicle Registration Office said that because this bike had been in covered storage for many years (Approx. the last 4 decades) therefore if you live here in California & feel for some reason you want or feel you need a California Forestry Land Green sticker (to ride in Government Forest etc land) Again ...it will be Easy because this bike is currently 100% off the DMV Computer books & therefore there will be NO back fees NO Back License fees, & NO BAck Taxes etc etc (Again, Typically here in Calif.. Again, after about 8 years DMV records fall off the DMV Computers) (This Wonderful Bike has been in Dry Storage for DECADES) and Again, this California National Forest sticker is not required or Current Calif License Tags are not usually required for MX & Other Race tracks and also NOT required for Vintage Bike & Classic Car Shows etc etc etc here in California & a California Nat. Forest Green sticker is not required if you live out of state etc etc etc)....& YES! ...she is all ready to transfer into your name ..In Calif. if you have current street tags you have to have ongoing Insurance on a Licensed so that is why most collectors allow their collection bikes to fall off the DMV Computers...& it is a Fairly Easy Process to get a vehicle back on the street again if that is what you want to do with her.... >* * * If these have not been done * Please Note *... You will be in default of this auction. & will naturally lose your deposit if the winning bidder flakes out & is not responsible on the funding of this AMAZING Vintage Racing Beauty .* * * ....Provided this is paid off (in required three (3) M-S days) I am willing to store the it for up to 2 weeks in my garage from close of auction while you arrange pickup & I will gladly assist you with shipping to any International or Domestic Shipper in the Los Angeles Harbor area.Seller reserves the right to the close of this auction at his discretion prior to the end of this auction . Like all real auctions all sales are final. Like most any used item terms of sale are of course, AS IS with no implied or expressed warranties. and purchaser assumes all risk for the use of this Wonderful Motorcycle...All forms of payment must be Proven "Cleared" by my bank before this Wonderful Bike can leave my homes garage. Please do us both a Big Favor and Please do not bid on this item unless you are able to 100% Fund this at this time, unless prior arrangements have been made & Cleared by me (Prior to bidding on this item). Thank You, Good Luck and Happy Bidding ! Hi, Everyone...I Have had a lot of emails this morning asking me about Shipping Quotes...To get a Good & or Very Fair Deal on Shipping ..I would get as many Quotes as possible...Otherwise, you will pay Way Too Much...I would try Uship.com where shippers Competitively bid to get your Shipping business. To do this properly, Get as Many Competitive Rates as you can (so you will know when a fair rate presents it'self).......& also to protect yourself. YOU need to get the quotes yourself ...& Therefore...(IE) you will need to get your own quotes for shipping, I believe ebay my have a shipping service for vehicles... also, UShip.com is very competitive if you take your time & get plenty of shipping Bids for this ... * * About a year ago Someone bought my 1975 400 Yamaha Enduro (which Weights I think a little more than this Wonderful Bike) & the YAMAHA 400 Enduro cost about $ 325 to go from here (Los Angeles, Calif.) to North Carolina. & a 400 YAMAHA IT ENDURO to Florida went for under $ 300...PLEASE NOTE: My Home is a GREAT Place to get a Shipping Quote From !!! (IE) I live just ~5 Miles North of the Los Angeles (Long Beach) Harbor (LA IS THE LARGEST SHIPPING PORT IN THE WORLD") & ~8 Miles South of the Los Angeles "Commercial District".. so "EVERY DAY A Zillions ("MANY") Trucks".. Leave this area to go to the Entire rest of the Country ...(IE) all you need to do is find a truck that has a little extra space & Trust me their Rates will be FAR Better than someone that the is no where near this area & trip is not on their way & or Not Convenient for them or ??? . Therefore, the more Quotes you get the Better the Shipping Rate will be to your home (So "YES" get lots of Quotes). Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions..... P.S. be sure to tell Each Shipper that this is a fairly "LIGHT" weight bike (I believe, approx. 250 pounds) dual purpose bike and NOT a 700+ pound Harley etc. (TANK) or something (IE) Trust Me.."Mentioning that Fact will Save you a lot of Money") ...I live in Long Beach (Lakewood Village Country Club Subdivision), California Zip = 90808

Included with This Wonderful Bike...I will be including a California DMV (NOTARIZED) "Transfer of Ownership" (Notarized, Equiv. of a Bill of Sale) from myself to you the new owner.. which from what I hear in neighboring states, should be what you need to register it if you live outside of California. THREE Decades & because of this... If for some reason ..you want to go cow trail ridding on California etc Government National Forest Land etc land & feel you a may want a National Forest etc DMV "Green Sticker" Or if you want Licnese plates to be able to street legal ride this Wonderful Dual Purpose Beauty...My Vehicle Registration Office said that because this bike had been in covered storage for many years (Approx. the last 3 decades) therefore if you live here in California & feel for some reason you want or feel you need a California Forestry Land Green sticker (to ride in Government Forest etc land) Again ...it will be Easy because this bike is currently 100% off the DMV Computer books & therefore there will be NO back fees NO Back License fees, & NO BAck Taxes etc etc (Again, Typically here in Calif.. after about 8 years DMV records fall off the DMV Computers) (This Wonderful Bike has been in Dry Storage for DECADES) and Again, this California National Forest sticker is not required or Current Calif License Tags are not usually required for MX & Other Race tracks and also NOT required for Vintage Bike & Classic Car Shows etc etc etc here in California & a California Nat. Thank You, Good Luck and Happy Bidding ! KKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK Hi, Everyone...I Have had a lot of emails this morning asking me about Shipping Quotes...To get a Good & or Very Fair Deal on Shipping ..I would get as many Quotes as possible...Otherwise, you will pay Way Too Much...I would try Uship.com where shippers Competitively bid to get your Shipping business.

* * About a year ago Someone bought my 1975 400 Yamaha Enduro (which Weights I think about 100 pounds more than this Wonderful Bike) & the YAMAHA 400 Enduro cost about $ 325 to go from here (Los Angeles, Calif.) to North Carolina. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions. Please email us. be sure to tell Each Shipper that this is a fairly "LIGHT" weight bike (I believe, a bit over 200 pounds) dual purpose bike and NOT a 700+ pound Harley etc. (TANK) or something (IE) Trust Me.."Mentioning that Fact will Save you a lot of Money") ...I live in Long Beach , Lakewood Village / Lakewood Country Club Area , California Zip = 90808

Everything there. Great source of parts for Red bike.1972 Yamaha DT 250  Enduro - Orange1973 Yamaha RT3 360 Enduro - Burnt Orange. Best example of an RT you will see in a long time.1973 Yamaha MX 360 with 1975 MXB 400 motor and extra top end, pipe, OEM tank MX gear. AHRMA certified.Lots of extra parts included. These have all been properly stored for 1.5 yrs. These bikes are located in Huntsville TX. They would be a great addion or a jump start to a vintage import bike collection. They are all solid running bikes that need freshing up. Fresh fuel, hot battery (for the Honda's) but they do not have rusty tanks and I used to ride them all at least once a week. Got to be to much and I stored them. Need garage space so they gotta go.

The two Bikes in between ours & this were two 4 Cylinder "Two Stroke" YAMAHA a GP 500 & a GP 700 like my Hero the GREAT Kenny Roberts became a WORLD CHAMPION on !!! Paperwork for this Vintage MotoCross Race bike: This Beauty has been in Covered Storage for 20+to 30 years & therefore has fallen off the DMV System computers (Which is Really Good News).... & YES ! ....I have also, the DMV Current Computers Print out on this Wonderful Bike that Proves: she has NO back fees & NO Back Taxes, & NO Back registrations & NO Back Penalties etc etc owing on this bike at this time ! ! ! . ...I will Also be including a California DMV (Notarized) "Transfer of Ownership" (Bill of Sale) from myself to you the new owner.. which from what I hear in neighboring states, should be what you need to register her In California & if you live outside of California. ... If you just want to Vintage Race this bike... the DMV "Bill of Sale" is all you will need..Again, I will also include the California Department of Motor Vehicles Current DMV Computer Print Out on this Wonderful Bike that shows & Proves that because this Beauty was in storage for the past Two + decades & because of this... there are No current DMV Computer records (AGAIN, WHICH IS REALLY GOOD NEWS) on this Wonderful bike & therefore there should be NO back fees and NO back taxes etc etc. owed on this Wonderful Dirt racing Bike. If you live inside California & If you Race Vintage Bike Meets on Private MotoCross Tracks or (Vintage Bike Shows etc) the Notarized Calif. DMV "Bill of Sale" is all you will need. If for some reason ..you want to go cow trail ridding on California etc Government National Forest Land etc land & feel you a may want a National Forest etc DMV "Green Sticker" My Vehicle Registration Office said that because this bike had been in covered storage for many years (nearly the last 3 decades) therefore if you live here in California & feel for some reason you want or feel you need a California Forestry Land Green sticker (to ride in Government Forest etc Land) Again it will be Easy because this bike is currently off the DMV Computer records & therefore there will be NO back fees (as after about 10 or 12 years DMV records fall off the DMV Computers) and Again, this California National Forest sticker is not required for MX & Other Race tracks and also NOT required for Vintage Shows etc etc etc here in California & a California Nat. Forest Green sticker is not required if you live out of state etc etc ....* * PLEASE NOTE: I personally think this is a very Nice Looking Bike in very Nice Overall Condition...However, If you are looking for a 100% Original or 100% "Perfect Concourse Bike" or some kind of a Vintage Show or Original Concourse show bike etc etc "Please do everyone a "Big Favor" & Please look elsewhere" as again I think ...this is just a Very Nice Looking Great Running & SUPER FUN Bike that I believe has had many upgrades & replaced parts Beautiful "KYB" Rear Shocks (My Mechanic feels that these are among the Worlds Best !) updated fenders + New Levers etc etc & I think She is in Overall Very Nice overall Condition before we did the cosmetic restoration on her as her Original "Owner" looks to have Babied (it doesn't look like he rode her too hard) >>Keep in mind thisd is a 45+ year old Bike !! therefore, I feel this bikes has Very Low Hours & Her Owner Really Looked out for this Amazing Legendary Vintage Racing Bike Best of All we are selling Her at WELL UNDER the NADA.com Book value is for a Nice Example of one of these (near & or approximately "FOUR TIMES my "BUY IT NOW PRICE"). & This Wonderful Bike Spent the Bulk of it's life right here in Southern California & Best of all The Bulk of it's life was spent in Covered Storage... * * About a year ago Someone bought my 1975 400 Yamaha Enduro (which Weights nearly double what this "SUPER LIGHT WEIGHT BULTACO Vintage Dirt Racer weights" (IE) aprox. * * * This bikes two Cousins (also cosmetically restored by us in our shop) that were Just Featured at the "WORLDS LARGEST MOTORCYCLE SHOW" In our"Vintage Japanese Motorcycle Clubs" Booth ! * * Please see pictures below * * ! ! ......YES ! As of the last couple of days for the first time in Decades ...This AMAZING Vintage Bike is "Now Running" I have driven her up & down my black about 10+ times in the last day or two !!!!! "HOW WOULD YOU LIKE TO SEE THIS VINTAGE EXAMPLE of Classic Motorcycle History ..."EYE CANDY' ....IN YOUR GARAGE" ! * * * I will have a Video in the next day or two if you email me your direct email site I will email you the UTUBE Video link Please Do Not Bid on this item until you have read the auction in it's Entirety (IE) When You Bid you are entering a Legal Contract & not being responsible just ruins it for everyone involved in this auction...Thank You. * * Also, I am unsure of the exact year of this Wonderful bike but I can tell you with Great Certainty it is either a 1969 or a 1970 SUZUKI TS 250 ENDURO * * These early TS 250 SUZUKI's are very Rare & unfortunately all of the serial number guide web sites only cover the more common 1970-1971 & up year Suzuki's Vintage ~ 1969 -70 Suzuki 250 cc T.S. "SAVAGE" ENDURO bike (Very Similar to the Original 1968-71 YAMAHA 250 DT-1 ENDURO). These are Original TS 250 SUZUKI's are becoming Very Hard to find these days !!! ...as most people are just not selling them out of their Vintage Bike Collections & Nice Examples of these are very rarely coming up for sale. Very complete Vintage "TS 250" ENDURO, project with a nice Fresh cosmetic Restoration (IE) most all of the main components of the bike were removed down to nearly her bare frame (IE) front & rear Wheels, tires, engine, oil & gas tanks ,seat air box etc etc) most everything was cleaned repainted & re installed. I think this bike is still fairly Original (IE) She has her: original Metal Airbox,, Frame , Swing Arm, Forks, Exhaust Muffler with Heat Shield , Headlight, Tail Light and & original Seat base (with Brand New foam & New upholstery), Original Gas tank & even her Original Oil tank. Also, present are a Suzuki Tachometer & Speedometer (I do not have the drive cables, should be available on ebay etc) This beautiful Bikes Mileage may not be accurate for this bike as like the head & tail lights, the Speedo & Tach gauges were off the bike & in a box when I got them. .It has her Original Suzuki 250 Gas Tank & Oil Tank Gold & Chrome Gas Tank & Oil Tank Metal Bright work Badges, Factory SUZUKI Chrome Forks , & she even her Fork Dampener, original swing arm, +FAR superior updated "BOGE" Rear Shocks, and Brand New HUGE 460 X 18" "TRAIL WINNER" Dual sport Rear Tire. She appears to have her main Original wire loom that runs from the engine to up under the fuel tank, However, she was last purposed as a Off Road bike. When new did the Cosmetic restoration as detailed above & below ) I re-installed the lights etc that were given to me in a box from the prior owner. so at this time they are present & installed on the bike but are not electrically connected , the main wire loom looks to be their & she has her lighting stator (altinator) & the switching & wire in in the laft portion of the handlebar . She has TS 250 Tachometer and Speedometer Gadges are possible slightly newer TS 250 & she will need the cables to connect them if that is something you want to do.. . The kick starter works & also, engine turns over well + she has good Compression, however I have not tried to start her. (I am guessing she may have a lose connection or a faulty coil ?) Otherwise, it is my guess that she would start up.. Unfortunately, at this time we lost our storage and I am now in a position I need to make room here as soon as possible. Also, She has a updated ~New chain, updated Front Fender, new unbreakable rear fender. basically at this point ...She just needs some fairly Minor finishing touches. * * I was told these Early TS 250's can NADA value guide up to just under ~ $6,000.00 You can Steal this Beauty for a small fraction of that. So ..Please, No Low Ball offers This is a No Brainer Deal on a True Classic & Very RARE & Very Beautiful + Very Collectable Vintage Historic Motorcycle (Again, These are becoming Very hard to find these days !!! Again, Please No Low Ball offers. ...As I have a lot of Time & Effort into this Wonderful Classic Bike.. These Wonderful Early Classic Vintage TS 250 cc ENDURO's are: Fairly Light Weight , Very Nimble, Very Quick & Very Well Balanced + Very "FUN" + Super Easy to Ride ...So when You get this Beauty all worked out & Running & ready to run down the Highway again... As this is a bike that will just need a little work to be 100% functional again. Therefore, when completed You will be in for a "BIG TREAT" as these are "REALLY FUN" & "QUICK" & SUPER EASY to Ride & did I say "FUN" TO RIDE... for Riders of ALL Sizes (IE)...also, You don' have to be a 8 feet Tall 300 Pound Gorilla to handle her ! & to be able to enjoy ride this Wonderful & soon to be Potentially VERY FUN & Versatile ~Super Bike ! In Fact When I am sitting on this beauty I am only ~ " from the ground. the seat ...& Static (without the riders weight on the seat) ...the seat is around " from the ground ...Either way this Wonderful bikes seat is Extremely Low for a Bike With anywhere near ~Super Bike Level of fun & Classic Styling ! ! ! * * Please Note * * Recently (December 2013) this auctions bikes' cousins (IE) that were also built by us) the other Two of our bikes a 1978 RM SUZUKI 250 (Yellow) & also our ELSINORE CR 250 (Green / Aluminum) we Displayed at the "WORLDS LARGEST" MOTORCYCLE SHOW" (the Los Angeles Cycle World / Progressive Motorcycle Show, (Los Angeles, California Area)..in Our "Vintage Japanese Motorcycle Clubs" Booth earlier (December 6, 7 & 8th 2013). Look to the right of the 3rd pictures which shows a Local Los Angeles TV News Crew interviewing Out VGMC Clubs President (in the Red & White Shirt) on the Shows Opening day ! ! ! PLEASE NOTE: Over the last three years we have shown "EIGHT" Vintage Motorcycles at this Show alone. > PLEASE NOTE:Above are 4 Pictures are not of this auctions bike but are of this bikes 2 cousins (IE) two other bikes we also built & restored our other Vintage Racing: the (Yellow) 1978 SUZUKI RM 250's & the (Aluminum & Green) Vintage CR Elsinore 250 Vintage Race bike (Dec. 2013) we Displayed at the "WORLDS LARGEST" MOTORCYCLE SHOW" (the Cycle World / Progressive Motorcycle Show, (Los Angeles, California area)..in Our "Vintage Japanese Motorcycle Clubs" Booth earlier (December 7-8-9th 2013). Also, The White & Black Suzuki Road Racer at the end of he row next to our VJMC clubs sign (3 bikes to the right of our yelow 250 RM Suzuki)... was one of two bikes of it's Exact type in Existence and I was told by most everyone there that it was Pretty much "Priceless" ! Here is some More GREAT NEWS ! I have run this bike thru MOREANA Enterprises (a Designated Calif DMV Registration office) & according to the Calif. DMV Computer printout...this Wonderful bike is "free and Clear" & has no record of any back registration fees and or back taxes etc PLEASE NOTE: ...I will be including a copy of this DMV Compuyter Print out as well as a California Dept. of Motor Vehicles (Notarized) "Bill of Sale" from myself to you the new owner.. which from what I hear in states outside of California, should be what you need to register it if you live inside or outside of California. ... (IE) If you just want to Vintage Race or Vintage Show this bike at Vintage bike & car meets & Shows... the DMV "Bill of Sale" should be all you will need...I will also include the California Department of Motor Vehicles Current DMV Computer Records Print Out on this Wonderful Bike to the new future owner that shows & Proves that this beauty has no record of any back fees and because of this is currently 100% off the DMV computer records. Because this Beauty was in storage for the past Aprox. 2+ Decades (~20 years) (last license tags for this bike were purchased Many (~31) years ago (it look like 1983) & because of this... This Fairly Rare Early 1970's TS 400cc Beauty (that I think Looks a bit like a early 1970's SUZUKI 400 Like Roger DeCoster's 400 Race Bike with lights ) So.. I guess this is a Tribute Style bike. This bike was only used a couple of years and was not ridden hard at all (as you can see her Near Perfect Engine cases, Alloy Fork Legs, Low slung Original factory Down Pipe, Rubber foot pegs & Rims rear fenders etc etc Show very well !! This wonderful Bike was Originally Sold here in Southern Calif Originally as a Dual Purpose" STREET BIKE the owner lived near the national Forest area & so he re-purosed the bike for more off road use & after a while sold his cabin & since that time this Wonderful Bike has sat in Dry Storage Since aprox.1979 according to the Original Owner till we started her Cosmetic Restoration earlier this year ...that we are just now completing !!!!! Her Original 1974 Seat Which was Rebuilt from the frame Up & Looks & Feels Great !!!!) I think This STUNNING , VERY SPIRITED & GOOD RUNNING Bike is a DREAM ! These TS 400 bikes are FAR MORE FORGIVING & Less Explosive to Ride as compared to a Dirt Racing only TM 400's & RM 400 as the TS 400 have a little more Torque, Smoother Running + Better Idling (Due to her FAR Greater flywheel Action) & Therefore These AMAZING TS 400s are Far More Controllable & FAR Easier to Start compared to the Typical 400cc TM & RM 400 Dirt Racers....* * PLEASE NOTE: this TS 400 (a TS is a lot like suzuki's Street Legal version of the 400 TM or to a lesser degree a little like a RM 400 W/Lights SUZUKI Is I think this may be one of the latter more refined years of the FAR Simpler & FAR More RELIABLE & DURABLE Vintage RACE-ABLE Air Cooled TS 400 Two Stroke Engines & I believe this is also a "Vintage Race-able ..Original SuZuki TS 400 style Piston Port + Original style DUAL SHOCK, REAR SWING ARM SUSPENSION SYSTEM" this makes this TS 400 a little like a TM 400 or to a lesser degree a RM 400 ..Like the earlier TS 400's.... Best of all these are designed as a Street Legal ENDURO "DUAL SPORT" ENDURO Street Use Etc etc & Not just Dirt Racing ...Please keep in mind She has all of her Charging Circuit+Lights are present..But, this bike was re-purposed off road so will need all lights+gadges re wired & reconnected Again to Be 100% street legal again....I have sold several of SUZUKI TS 's, PE 's and YAMAHA IT 's to people that make them into a more Street " Bobber " (Cafe Racers) Bikes .. (3 went to just Miami Florida ! this year alone !!!) Many People also use these for Vintage Dirt & ENDURO RACING Bikes ... Again...She is a Fairly LOW HOUR Bike that was owned by an older gentleman & she sat in Covered Storage for the Majority of her Life..(Again, his was owned by an older Gentleman who owned this for many years & this has always been a "Southern California Bike" as she has been here in CALIFORNIA to the best of my knowledge the Bulk of her Life !!! & Best of all She STARTS SUPER EASY & just as she sits I think She RUNS VERY GOOD Again.. More Importantly she appears that she was used not very hard & also Very Little in Her lifetime (Look at her Engine Cases, Alloy Lower Fork Legs, Rubber Foot pegs, Rims, Her Original Low slung Down Pipe etc, etc,.etc .. . .... & also PLEASE NOTE: Her new owner just did a lot of extensive engine Rebuilding on Her a couple of Months ago...Since then We are just completing her Brand New cosmetic Restoration (as Detailed & Listed above & below etc.. (No More & No less)...& "YOU" can be the LUCKY Very First Owner of this Beautiful Bike since Her Cosmetic Restoration was completed ! * * PLEASE NOTE: the TS 400 (is a lot like an RM W/Lights SUZUKI Is I think "The VERY last year of the FAR Simpler & FAR More Vintage RACE-ABLE Air Cooled Two Stroke Engines & I believe this is the First YEAR of the DUAL SHOCK Vintage Race-able REAR "ALLOY" SWING ARM SUSPENSION SYSTEM" this makes this TS 400 FAR More like a RM 400 than Earlier PE 400s were. ...& YES ! .! I have also, the Current DMV Current computers Print out on this Wonderful Bike and she is "Free & Clear" (IE) She Has "NO" back taxes, "NO" back fees & "NO" Back Taxes etc etc owing on this bike at this time ...Please see further Title information listed below Paperwork details for this Vintage DUAL SPORT ENDURO Motorcycle: This Beauty has been in Storage for ~35 years & therefore has fallen off the DMV System computers (IE) ..Which is Really Good News as this means the bike is free & Clear of any Back fees taxes etc etc ).... & YES ! ....I have also, the DMV Current Computers Print out on this Wonderful Bike that Proves: she is 100% free & Clear of any Back fees again this means she has "NO" back fees & "NO" Back Taxes, & "NO" Back registration fees & "NO" Back Penalties etc etc owing on this bike at this time ! ! ! . ...I will Also be including a California DMV (Notarized) "Bill of Sale" (Transfer of Ownership") from myself to you the new owner.. which from what I hear in neighboring states, should be what you need to register her In California as a 100% Legal Street Bike & if you live outside of California. ... If you just want to Vintage Race this bike... the DMV "Bill of Sale" is all you will need..Again, I will also include the California Department of Motor Vehicles Current DMV Computer Print Out on this Wonderful Bike that shows & Proves that because this Beauty was in storage for the past Three + decades & because of this... there are "NO" current DMV Computer records (AGAIN, WHICH IS REALLY GOOD NEWS) on this Wonderful bike & therefore there should be "NO" back fees "NO" Back registration Fees and "NO" back taxes etc etc. owed on this Wonderful "Dual Sport" ENDURO Bike. If you live inside California & want to take this to Vintage Bike Shows & or If you Race Vintage Bike Meets on Private Moto Cross Tracks or (Vintage Bike Meets etc) the Notarized Calif. DMV "Bill of Sale" is all you will need. If for some reason ..Again, If you would like to register this bike for 100% Street Use Or If you want to go cow trail ridding on California etc Government National Forest Land etc land & feel you a may want a National Forest etc DMV "Green Sticker" My Vehicle Registration Office said that because this bike had been in covered storage for SOooo many years (the last 3+ decades) therefore if you live here in California & feel for some reason you want or feel you need a California Forestry Land Green sticker (to ride in Government Forest etc Land) or get her back in the System again for a Street Legal b bike Again it will be Easy because this bike is currently "Off the DMV Computer records System" & therefore Again..there will be"NO" back fees (as after about 10 or 12 years DMV records fall off the DMV Computers) and Again, this California National Forest sticker or street Tags & Registration etc etc is not required for MX & Other Race tracks and also NOT required for Vintage Shows & Vintage Bike Meets etc etc etc here in California & a California Nat. Forest Green sticker is not required if you live out of state etc etc ....*..Most M/C RACING Enthusiasts Agree the SUZUKI Vintage Dual Purpose TS 400, 400 PE's and 400 RMs are one of the Most Beautiful Most Reliable, Most Responsive, Fastest.. I believe her Vintage Race-able Super Simple & relatively Easy to Work On "Air Cooled" + "Two Stroke" Racing engine & Dual Rear Shock SWING ARM rear suspension With Nice Rear Shocks etc etc *Again, This AMAZING Great Running Bike is a Dream with her AMAZING Balance & She Feels Very Nimble , Dirt Racing SUZUKI's Are Famous for their GREAT TURNING ability & are Light weight , & Handle very Natural & feel Extremely AGILE ..I feel ..Most Enthusiasts agree these SUZUKI TS 400's are GREAt Super Fun Dual Purpose Bikes. This Vintage Racing 1974 SUZUKI TS 400 has her Original SUZUKI Tuned Exhaust with a New . & She Looks to have Her Original Factory SUZUKI TS 400 seat REBUILT From The FRAM UP !!!. We also Cleaned the Entire Fuel system & added a Quality Inline Fuel Filter & her Original Owner added a Brand New "UNI" High Performance Tube Style Air Cleaner Element, & "We Installed The VERY BEST "MODAL" Trans Mission Oil". In the past I have had a lot of emails with shipping quotes all over the map...Therefore, When you try and Get a Shipping Quote... I would try & get several (many) shipping quotes (& get a estimated pick up date in writing) before you commit or finalize a deal & or make a deposit) with a shipper... as one of the last bikes I sold out of our collection went to North Carolina via USHIP.COM, (which is about 3,000 miles from here)...it was a 1975 YAMAHA 400 Enduro which weights nearly about double of what this auctions Magnificent 1974 400 Suzuki Vintage Racing Beauty Weights & he was only charged about 330 US dollars a few months ago...I think ebay may have a shipping site, but if you want a very competitive rate I would go thru Uship.com & get "Lots of Bids"...Keep in mind, I live Very Close to the Business Hub of Los Angeles & Also the L.A. Harbor areas & Millions of Trucks leave this area every day all you need to do is find a truck that has a little space & that is headed in your direction & I am sure the price would be a lot better for you than with some trucker that is not ! Again, If you need a shipper I would get "Lots of Quotes" (I have always had Great Luck with USHIP.COM & plan on "the rates will vary widely" (IE) as a trucker that is already here in Los Angeles Area & is already planning on going your direction will be a lot different rate than someone that is not already here & is not going in your direction...Also, please remind the trucking Co. you are getting the quote from that ..."This bike is a small nimble + very simple dirt bike & ONLY weights about 270 Pounds" (It is NOT a "HUGE" 700 pound Harley etc) So the Shipping rate should be FAR Cheaper & Should definitely reflect that difference. Also, If it will get you a better Shipping Rate Also, I will deliver this bike to any Los Angeles Area Based Shippers Distribution yard for "FREE" & or if you live out of the Country I will deliver this Bike to any Los Angeles Based International Shipper yard in the Los Angles Area for FREE !!!!!!!!!!!!!! "PLEASE NOTE": RESERVE IS JUST A VERY FEW OF DOLLARS BELOW THE BUY IT NOW PRICE (WHICH I HAVE ALREADY LOWERED Aprox $500.00 ) For a Quick "No Brainer" Sale......So If YOU WANT THIS BIKE "THE BUY IT NOW" Price is about what it will take to get Her...If You wait till the auctions end you may get into a Bidding war ...& It could end up Way Past that amount ....& This is " One of the Last Years" of these Fairly Rare 1970's TS 400 & RM Suzuki VINTAGE RACE-able BIKES That is one of the very Last Years of the SUPER DEPENDABLE & FAR MORE DURABLE "Air Cooled TS 400's & I believe the First year with (which probably cost SUZUKI FAR More than a junk Steel Swing Arm & as you can see these Vintage Race-able "DUAL SHOCK" Rear Suspension are FAR SUPERIOR as compared to earlier Suspensions etc ! Happy Bidding .... >>" data-tid="yui_3_16_0_1_1450401376106_9806" class="tab-content" style="visibility: visible;">

1980 Husqvarna CR 250, Great vintage bike in great condition. Current tags & clear title. - As with many motorcycle manufacturers, Husqvarna first began producing bicycles in the late 19th century. In 1903, they made the jump to motorcycle manufacturing. The first "Husky" motorcycles used imported engines, and it wasn't until 1918 that Husqvarna began producing machines built entirely in-house. Around that time they secured a contract with the Swedish Army and began entering cross-country and long-distance motorcycle racing events. In 1920, Husqvarna established its own engine factory and the first engine to be designed was a 550 cc four-stroke 50-degree side-valve V-twin engine, similar to those made by companies like Harley-Davidson and Indian. Although they once made motorcycles for street use, and raced at road circuits such as the Isle of Man TT prior to World War II, they are better known for producing world championship winning motocross and enduro bikes. In the 1960s, their lightweight, two-stroke engined off-road bikes helped make the once dominant British four-stroke motorcycles obsolete. Throughout the 1960s and 1970s, Husqvarna was a dominant force in the motocross world, winning 14 Motocross world championships in the 125 cc, 250 cc and 500 cc divisions, 24 enduro world championships and 11 Baja 1000 victories. 1975 MAICO GS400– ALL ORIGINAL SURVIVOR! 134 ORIGINAL MILES, FRAME # 341016, ENGINE # K407112, TWO OWNERS FROM NEW, TITLE INCLUDED, RUNS AND RIDES 96 Normal 0 false false false EN-US JA X-NONE Maicowerk A.G. was a West German motorcycle manufacturer. Founded in 1926 by Ulrich Maistch as Maistch & Co, the company originally manufactured 98 and 123 cc Ilo two stroke engines. After Worls War II, they began producing their own unit construction two-stroke engines, selling complete motorcycles. Maico made a brief foray into the automobile business with their own line of microcars in the late 1950s. Maico have also made go kart engines. The road motorcycles were named after winds... 'Blizzard', 'Typhoon' etc., but the company was better known for its purpose-built Motocross and Enduro machines, and for its 'Maicoletta' motor scooter, both of which sold in higher numbers than the road motorcycles. Maico Racing Motorcycles: Maico motocross (MC) and enduro (GS) racing models proved very successful in both European and American competition throughout the 1970s. While lacking the financial capital and big money race-team backing like that of the Japanese factories of Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki, and Kawasaki, Maico riders such as Adolf Weil, Ake Jonsson, and Willy Bauer proved to be a serious challenge to the Japanese factories and produced numerous top three finishes in the Motocross World Championships. The firm also experienced some success in Grand Prix road racing competitions with rider Borje Jansson winning three 125cc Grand Prix races between1972 and 1973. American publication Motocross Action called the 1981 Maico Mega 2 - 490cc the greatest open-class motocross bike of all time. The 1974.5 400cc and 440cc GP, 1978/79 250cc Magnum and 1981 490cc models along with any year 501cc motocross bike are also some of the most sought-after vintage MX and twin-shock motorcycles to this day. One of the visual modernizations of the Maico off-road motorcycles was the move from a "coffin" style tank in 1974 to a "teardrop" style tank in 1978/79 on bikes like the 250 Magnum. The bikes later moved to plastic tanks in 1980 with the Mega 490. One of the largest contributions to the world of motocross suspension technology came in the 1974 season when the Wheelsmith Motorcycles team in the USA and the Gunther Schier teams in Europe forward-mounted the rear shocks on the Maico factory-backed motorcycles, immediately increasing the travel and ability to trump the competition. This initiated a frantic effort on the part of factory teams and privateers alike; chopping up their frames in a desperate attempt to remain competitive. Maicowerk AG filed for bankruptcy in 1983, but continued to produce small numbers of motocross and enduro models (re-badged as M-Stars in the United States due to legal issues) up through 1986. Subsequent manufacturers have purchased the brand name and applied it to their own limited production motorcycles. Modern open-class dirt-bikes are still being produced under the Maico brandname. The ATK Intimidator dirt-bike (reportedly the most powerful production 2 stroke motorcycle available aside from Maico's own motorcycles) features a Maico motor. After the company went out of business in 1986, its assets were taken over by a Dutch company, but to this day retains a strong cult following. Many riders restore vintage Maicos for display or to take back to the track.
