2001 Harley-Davidson Dyna , Gots to go - moving in 4 weeks. For sale is a 2001 Harley-Davidson Dyna Super Glide -- a twin-cam, 1450 CC, belt driven 5-speed. Unfortunately I will be moving North soon, and city riding up there is a tad bit overwhelming for me. Bike has been housed in covered parking and a nice Nelson Rigg nylon cover (included) when not in use. I've owned the bike for approximately 2 years It's really been a really nice ride -- extremely smooth, great sound, and it's got a really great Harley seat that makes it that much more enjoyable. I track its MPGs pretty consistently, and it has remained an average steady 43 MPG for the time I've owned it. It's got (at this moment) 31,790 miles. I've ridden short trips near Charlottesville (Blue Ridge Parkway, Route 15, etc.) but have never taken it on a cross-state trip -- I mostly ride it around town. This thing is in every sense of the word is 'ready to ride.' The guys over at Precision Powersports in Staunton just performed their 30,000 service with a full fluids re-work, new brakes, and filters. Additionally, I had the rear tire replaced as it was approaching end of life (a Dunlop Harley-Davidson D402). This was all performed on October 17, and totaled $485 worth of maintenance (service records available), and i've only put about 150 miles on it since. . . not that you care, but just wanted to make the point that I wanted to get this thing ready to go for the next person -- I essentially just bought you another 2-3 years of care free riding. The goods: Forward controls Brand new battery (installed 3 weeks ago) Upgraded Harley mirrors w/ Harley print and grips - they're thick and are extremely comfortable Vance & Hines exhaust system (pretty loud, super deep) New Back Tire (front tire's about a year old) Switched out Dyna front wheel for the sportster's sleeker one, painted black. Flame engine decals An upgraded, extremely comfortable Harley seat that's been maintained religiously Old-school 1961 Panhead tank emblem Will give you the Nelson-Rigg defender cover I bought for it, leather saddlebags, a large leather bag that attaches to the back of the sissybar, and a couple other miscellaneous bags/items. Will even throw in my 2 helmets if you've got a large'ish sized head, a half-helmet and a modular flip-up mask helmet. The bads: Bike was dropped (in slow motion) at a stop sign going 0 MPH -- it was a steep incline at the stop sign and there was a lot of gravel, lost my footing. It wouldn't have been as embarrassing if it wasn't about 500 yards away from my house. There are some light paint scratches/indentations at the point of contact, but nothing I've ever felt compelled to address. A simple black paint touchup would do it nicely; a tank replacement would be highly excessive. $4,900.00 4344094829
