This is a low-mileage bike that I came across a few years ago... and now that I'm retired, I've finally had time to restore it. As the title states, this is the large Honda Shadow A.C.E, with the 1100cc engine... not the smaller 750 version. When I found the bike, it was still in pretty decent condition... but had been sitting for awhile. The back story is that is was bought by a serviceman who rode it for a few months before getting married. After that, his new wife wasn't comfortable with him riding... so he didn't. After a few years of only putting a couple hundred miles on it per year, the bike got put in the garage for good. When they moved, he sold it to a neighbor who didn't ride, but wanted to learn. Well, he never did, and I found out about the bike from a friend of his. Since I've had the bike, I've addressed the following items: NEW Honda OEM Chrome Spoked Wheels on front & rear NEW Dunlop OEM spec Whitewall Tires, front & rear NEW Honda OEM Chrome Grab Handles on rear fender NEW National Cycle "SwitchBlade" Touring Windscreen NEW National Cycle Chrome Lowers NEW National Cycle Light Bar, with Turn Signals Rebuilt both front & rear Brake Master Cylinders with new seals Rebuilt both front & rear Brake Calipers with NEW seals & pistons NEW Stainless Steel Brake Lines, front & rear NEW Honda OEM Seat NEW Kisan Headlight Modulator NEW Kisan Brake Light Modulator NEW Spark Plugs, Oil, Oil Filter, and Air Filter NEW Battery I didn't go into the engine or tranny, because with only 4,600 miles on the clock, it really didn't need anything there. Just needed to run a can of Sea Foam thru it to clean the gunk out, and then adjust the carburetor. Though you need to use the manual choke when it's cold, the bike starts right up every time and the engine runs smoothly. All in all, I've put around $4,000 worth of new parts & accessories on the bike. More really than black book value on the bike is worth. But the bike is just in too nice of shape to not restore it back to how it should look. Plus, I'm not really looking to make any profit on the bike... as repairing & restoring them is a hobby. I'd just like to get the investment back from the parts. Now for the boring stuff... I’m asking $4,500 for the bike, but will consider reasonable offers. Please not, however, that I am not interested in any trades. The funds from the sale of this bike will go towards funding my next bike restoration. The mileage listed in the ad description is current as of this morning (5/28). However, the bike is still being ridden at least twice per week… mainly to keep the drivetrain components lubricated, but also because it’s a fun ride down to the beach every now & then. I have described the bike to the best of my ability… and as far as I’m aware, everything is in good working order. However, it is a used bike… and as such, is being sold “as is”, with no warranty being provided and/or implied. My feedback rating on items I have sold is perfect, and I take it very seriously.Payment: Unless other arrangements are agreed upon in advance… a non-refundable $500 deposit shall be required within 24 hours of the end of the auction. The full remaining balance shall be made in CASH when the bike is picked up… which shall be within 14 days of the end of the auction. If you request to make the remaining balance payment via PayPal… you will need to add an additional 3% to the final payment to cover their fees.Pickup / Delivery: I seem to get asked about this every time I sell a bike, so I'll include it here. Pickup of the bike is the sole responsibility of the buyer. As stated above, that shall be within 14 days of the end of auction. That said, I do have a truck... and for an added fee, I may be able to deliver the bike to you. If you are interested in that option, you'll need to contact me PRIOR to the end of the auction for a quote. If you have any questions about the bike, or the conditions of the sale… please feel free to ask. I’ll try to answer as quickly as possible.
