Beautiful job on this restoration...Engine fresh, 12 volt electrics, nice paint job with real nice hand done stripes, as original ( non original blue color, however). Starts one or two kicks and idles perfectly. Absolutely perfect riding machine. Near new tires, brakes as new....Does have an oil leak and spots the floor. I bought it as is, but there is a large folder of photos showing the various aspects of the restoration process. Bike was fitted with a Velorex side car when I got it. I removed it and may work out a deal with the purchaser if he wants it. The project was finished except a little wiring to side car and final dialing in of geometry when the owner passed away. The sidecar was never used....still has the mold nubs on its tire. Bike was test run only, it seems...maybe a couple of hundred miles.....When I just took it out of the garage for pictures and fired it up, the headlight would not go on....tail light ok, but no headlight. I have not looked into it. This bike rides out superbly, but will need MINIMAL tlc on headlight and removing a few wires that were part of the side car installation. The seat, turn signals, and tachometer are aftermarket, but could be removed to put back to original. No alterations have been made to the bike, itself. The original seat goes with, and it is good user condition. I intended to return it to original condition, myself, but the improvements really are nice, and I had second thoughts......Even though the bike is really easy to start, I have a real bum leg, and the kick starter operation, particularly on Beemers, is very problematic for me. I will be riding my old Trident with electric start, I guess. All with serious interest should absolutely call me for a detailed honest discussion and more pictures, etc BEFORE bidding.
