I WILL BE ATTENDING THE VINTAGE MOTORCYCLE FESTIVAL AT BARBER MOTORSPORTS PARK IN LEEDS, ALABAMA THIS WEEKEND AND WILL DELIVER THE BIKE TO YOU THERE FOR FREE. You're still welcome to pick it up from me locally here in Southeast Georgia. This is a 1972 Honda SL100 motorcycle. It has 1,680 miles. It runs great and everything works like it should. I'm selling the bike because I really only use it one weekend a year (the weekend of the Vintage Fest at Barber). This is a great bike for anyone looking for a reliable and fuel efficient vintage bike. The bike has lots of new parts on it. The tires, inner tubes, gas cap, fuel valve, chain, and air filter all have less than 50 miles on them and the battery is brand new. The head was recently replaced due to the old head having a cracked valve guide. The new head has new guides, seals and a fresh valve job. While the head was off I had the piston and rings replaced and the cylinder honed as preventative maintenance. The carburetor was recently cleaned and works great. The original float needle had a metal tip and metal tip needles are notorious for slowly leaking, so it has been replaced with float needle with a rubber tip that seals much better. The bike has what appears to be the original key. This one key fits the ignition, the helmet lock, and the fork lock that all work perfect (and a sweet vintage G.I. Joe keychain that was on it when I bought the bike). The bike was painted about 4 years ago. The painted body parts look great with only a few imperfections, mainly a scratch on one of the side covers (I made sure to get a picture of it). This is a 42 year old motorcycle and while it is a good looking bike it hasn't had a full restoration and does have some imperfections. All of the chrome on the bike was pitted when I got it, I've done what I could to clean it up and keep it from getting any worse but the pits are still there. The fork seals leak. The rear shocks have some rust. The paint on the frame looks good overall, but does have some imperfections. The seat is in really great shape to be the original, but does have one small tear near the helmet lock. The exhaust had a dent near the end of the muffler that was braised(a type of welding, so it's all metal and no body filler that's going to crack or fall out due to the head of the exhaust) and ground smooth before being painted with high temp ceramic exhaust paint, the paint has slightly discolored near the head where the pipe gets the hottest. This bike is also for sale locally, so I reserve the right to cancel this listing at any point (though I will do so as quickly as possible if it does sell locally, so if it's still listed here it's still for sale). I do not have a title to the bike, but will include a bill of sale (in Georgia and many other states you don't need a title, only a bill of sale to register older vehicles). $100 deposit is required via PayPal within 12 hours, with the remainder due in cash upon pick up. The buyer is responsible for all shipping or pick up with the exception of free delivery to you at Barber Motorsports Park between the afternoon of Friday, October 10th and the morning of Sunday, October 12th. I've tried to take several pictures and to be thorough in my description in order to represent the bike as accurately as I can, but I'm sure I've forgotten some things.
