All the facts you read here about this bike are the words of the dealer who sold it new, and can be verified by that dealer. So, I will start by making clear this bike was sold brand new from the dealership as a super-cross dirt bike. Its factory modified and set up to be ridden on the dirt, ( super-cross track ), not the street. Therefor, it was not sold new with a title, I didn't buy it with a title, I cannot get a title, it cannot be titled, nor should it ever be considered as a bike to be ridden on pavement in traffic. ITS A DIRT BIKE, and very serious one at that. This is the best year for these. They were designed to compete right off the floor, bone stock, with the Japanese bikes on a super-cross track, and win. And win they did. This bike is wicked, to put it mildly. It is a 2002, KTM, 525 EXC. with just over 140 or so miles on the odometer. 2002 or not, its a new motorcycle, plain and simple. It was originally sold brand new to a middle aged man who used it as a centerpiece in his man cave, literally. He constantly ran a towel over it, maintained it, and loved it just fine as long as he didn't have to ride it. After 11 years, he brought back to the dealer that sold it to him, and traded it for a utility vehicle he can get some use out of. They wiped it down, changed the fluids, installed a new battery, and rolled it to the floor. 3 days later, I walked in and bought it (midlife crisis). That was only a few months ago. It has sat in my man cave inside the house since I bought it. This bike has never felt temperatures below 70 degrees. I have ridden it only a few times. Enough to know I have no business having it. It has a six speed transmission, ridiculous power, speedometer, headlight, skid plates, a really sweet custom seat, all the best hardware, and ELECTRIC START. I don't know what else I could say about it. If your reading this, most likely, you know more about this bike than I do. When I purchased it, I also bought a new KTM lift stand for it to sit on, a new helmet, gloves, the best goggles, and some stickers I put on the bike already. I threw in another helmet, pants and boots also. If you don't need all the gear, specify that with your best offer so I know what your offering that amount for. You'll notice the price is what I paid for it as shown in the receipt pictured. The right number, and Its yours. My wife and I are retiring out of state, so I am motivated to sell it quickly. I ask you very respectfully, don't make an offer unless your prepared to pay in full immediately upon my accepting the offer, and are able to come and pick it up. If you need it shipped, know how much the cost will be ahead of making the offer ( my zip is 66512 ). I'm looking for a nice, clean, and honest transaction and nothing less. There is absolutely nothing about this bike and my description of it that is inaccurate, or untruthful in any way. Be sure to email exactly what the details are for the offer your making (with the gear, without the gear, shipping, ect.). In that email to me, please include how and when you can pick the bike up. Tire kickers and scammers have no place in this transaction. If you want it, make a serious offer, pay for it, and pick it up. Thank you very much for considering this listing. Have an excellent day!!
