This an original 1976 Yamaha FS1C. The C designates that it is a Canadian market FS1. They were not sold in the US market and hence are virtually non-existant here, and they are otherwise a rare machine in Canada. They have a HUGE following in the UK, some say cult-like status; reproduction as well as used parts are plentiful over there. I was told that a certain number of parts can still be sourced from Yamaha Canada. The FS1 is a fast little machine, I hesitate to call it a moped, as the pedals were merely present for legal requirements (and they were designed to be folded forward to become driver foot rests!) Like riding little rocket, they did 45mph out of the box, check out Yamaha FS1 on youtube. If you have ANY questions please call me at 613-571-6067. I have had this FS1C for some time. I am reluctant to sell it, I have never seen another, but other projects need attention. It does look good, as in the pictures, but I believe in complete disclosure and here are the details: Engine is stuck and it is missing the right pedal (you are going to leave them off, anyways) The left side signals are damaged, the seat has a few splits. The rear fender is flaky and corroded, the tank is rusty coco but I cannot see any perforations from the outside bottom and it should be usable. Slight fixable dent in front fender. One orig mirror present. Speedo is nice, controls are nice, no broken fins on engine, bars are straight, exhaust is very nice, no cracks in engine cases, tail light and brackets intact, the reflectors are still present. The wiring is intact, nice ignition switch w/key, nice gas cap. The paint is original, the tank will brighten up with a proper polish. The bottoms of the side covers are rusty (not perforated rusty). Overall surface rust on frame, chain guard, etc I do not have a title. I CAN get one, as the last plate renewal was in 1994. It will cost about $60, if you are a serious buyer, please inquire with me if you will require a title. Bike is in Cornwall, Ontario, Canada - NY state is 5 mins away: This is what I can do for buyers: USA residents: 1) I can import it into the USA for a flat rate of $100 and meet with you or your shipper, for an additional $25 to $50 I can deliver it to a local freight warehouse where it can sit for a week or two while you co-ordinate your itinerary or work with your shipper.2) I can deliver within an hour of Massena NY for nominal cost - please inquire first.
