Up for sale is a very nice 1980 cr250r that I purchased to run a few AHRMA events. Everything on the bike is new with 1 race on it except the engine which has 3 races on it as the previous owner stated. engine is strong with good compression. it has an 82 cr480 front fork assembly on it. Here is a list of what's been done to the bike. New tires New sprockets and gold chain New Pfr exhaust Custom aluminum brake stay Fox Airshox rebuilt All new seals and bushings in front forks New plastic and decals New seat New wide pegs New air filter All with 1 race on it. The bike is currently set up for a 190lb rider and is running on Sunoco 98 octane unleaded race fuel at 40.1. It does have very minor scratches and dents so look closely at photos before bidding. I do have a video of the bike running and more pics so just message me and I can get them to you. I had a bike like this in my early 20's and really hate to sell it but health issues and medical bills means the toys must go. It has a custom chrome headlight. The bike also has the security system added and Hines pipes. It also has new tires a 140 on rear and a 130 on the front. The battery was replaced in August. This car began life as a late model stock car buiult for short-track asphalt racing at Motor Mile Speedway and Martinsville Speedway. In conjunction with Patrick Henry Community College Racing College director Talmage Thomas, owner Butch Hamlet went about converting the car from left-turn only to a prime time road racer. Now optimized for Virginia International Raceway (VIR), it is a full-blown winning NASA Super Unlimited racer. The engine has been placed lower and further back in the frame than late model rules allow for, and the brakes, transmission, and oil systems have also been updated within the Unlimited class safety rules. The engine itself has also seen modifications not allowed by NASCAR and produces 640 HP and 550 lb/ft of torque produced at the crankshaft and 592 HP and 490 lb/ft of torque produced at the rear wheels. After four years of development, the car is now fully sorted. It is on a seven-race winning streak in the series at VIR, and has won all nine races it finished. It took pole in all eleven races. Early in its development, it suffered two mechanical DNFs. The competition in the class includes a $400,000 Porsche GT3-R, Trans-Am cars, GT1 cars, Sprint Cup, Nationwide and ARCA cars, and a Riley and Scott Daytona Prototype. Twice in the series of wins, the car has lapped the field. In this class at VIR, 2:00 is considered a quick time. This car has run in the 1:50’s and a switch to radial tires should cut those times to 1:48’s.
