The R1 was the fastest production sportbike in 2003. My bike has less than 7,000 miles and has been garaged most of its life. It has an eye catching silver/matte black paint design with some custom touches including reflective skull decals, a Zero Gravity windscreen, racing mirrors, aftermarket exhaust, aftermarket turn signals including flush mount front turn signals, Triboseat rear seat cover, and removeable Nelson-Rigg sport-cloth saddle bags in great condition. The battery was replaced last year, the Michelin pilot tires have less than 2,000 miles on them. The bike also comes with both light and heavy duty motorcycle covers, rear seat fairing, 2 helmets in fair condition (one medium and one large), mesh cargo netting, nice wheel stands, Joe Rocket size large ballistic nylon jacket in excellent condition, ballistic nylon size medium Tourmaster all-weather riding pants in good condition, Haynes repair manual, a front brake security lock (not installed) and a large combination-locking caribiner clip for locking helmets, backpacks, etc. Close-up video footage of the bike taken on 8/14 (Sorry about the background noise, I don't start the bike until a couple minutes in): The bike was dropped at slow speed back in 2009 due to a slip on sand but damage was cosmetic and repaired. I can send you a link to the photo album that has pictures of the repair from start to finish. Only a few minor scuffs remain. I work in a safety-intensive technical profession and am a hobbyist mechanic and I know this bike to be sound and ride straight as an arrow. I have put 1,400 fun miles on the bike since it was repaired. I'm selling because I want to get a Triumph Bonneville. I've loved this bike but it's somebody else's turn! 508-245-1232 Matt Vehicle is sold as is, without warranty.
