This bike starts easy, runs great, drives straight , stops well, looks great. Has won shows ! Belonged to two very discerning collectors . G Webster and B. Melvin . They don’t come much better than this ! The price is a bargain for the quality of the Machine. $22,000. The bike has been thru an extensive restoration previous to my ownership. Since I bought it I have driven it some and sorted it well. Its a beautiful show bike that you can ride to the show. I have a Large collection of bikes and have been buying them and selling them for over 50 Years. For the last 20 Years I have had an interest in owning a Moto Guzzi Falcone Sport and I have looked at a lot of them, before I found one in this condition . If there are nicer ones , they may not be for sale , because i have seen few nicer than this one. Is it perfect, probably not. Truth is I have never seen or owned that perfect dream bike. Their is always something . But I think most of you will find it near that mark. There is nothing significant that I have seen wrong with it. Oh just remembered, one of the tool box covers has a latch that sometimes doesn't lock well . Needs an adjustment . Selling to buy a new toy. Any Questions just ask. Only for sale in the Lower 48 States . I have sold many bikes out of the country and there is too often a delay in pick up, more paper work, and just time consuming . I don't have the time . So please only bid if you are in the lower 48 States . If you are the successful bidder I can hold it a reasonable amount of time ,until your carrier arrives. Just let me know what you need. Just don't want to deal with custom brokers and such. Bike is located in Mission Viejo Ca 92692 I will load it on your carrier , you pay shipping . I expect payment in a timely manner , and have a clear title to the bike . Title has an issue , when last transfered there was a typographical error in the Vin # they typed a 1 where it should have been a 0. So I have had it inspected and a new proper title is coming for it. Might take a little after the close of the sale to get this back . Then immediate transfer to the new owner. I still have the first Title and will sign a Bill of sale and send it to you at the time of payment . With a note attached promising to send the corrected one when it arrives. Its not a big deal but I want to be transparent. For those of you who know me , you know I will follow thru. Check my feed back. Look closely at the Photos , this is what you are buying.Any questions just ask. I rode this bike about two hundred miles to the Mr Pete's Bike Show and won best of show award. Most importantly it is a Ball to ride. Just does everything right. This is a real nice bike! Oh yes , not sure what actual milage is , shows 1700 miles ? maybe not very likely , but I don't know. While today Moto Guzzi is best known for its big V-twins, the company was founded and flourished building flat single-cylinder machines between 1921 and 1976. The pride of this long lineage is the Falcone, the 500cc sporting variant introduced in 1950 and produced until 1963, when it was replaced by, naturally, the Nuovo Falcone. The Falcone proper was an advance on previous models, using a fully-enclosed cylinder head and more importantly, telescopic forks up front. The rear suspension remained the Guzzi trademark swing arm with a pair of springs boxed beneath the engine, with adjustable scissor-type friction dampers at the back. The overall effect of the new forks and an improved big single engine is an amazingly civilized and genteel motorcycle, smooth in operation, mechanically very quiet, and exuding quality from every casting. The Falcone was the ultimate development of a long sporting tradition, and embodies all Moto Guzzi's experience in racing and long-distance endurance events, making this machine a very comfortable and stable ride, with a seemingly tireless engine producing almost no vibration at all. In its day it was the pride of the Italian motorcycle industry, and one of the few large-capacity motorcycles built there, until the advent of Italian multi-cylinder street racers in the late 1960s, a trend to which Moto Guzzi, and the Falcone, succumbed in 1968 with the V7 V-twin, and the death of our beautiful falcon.
