Freeriding isn't about proving anything to anyone, it is about enjoying the ride and the offroad motorcycling experience. With Freeride, the terrain doesn't dictate the path – the rider decides where to ride and how to get there. 250 2-STROKE ENGINE• Based on the engine of the 250 XC-W • Reduced weight by 4.4 lbs! • High output electric starter powered by a lightweight lithium ion battery • Fuel-oil mixture ratio lowered down to 80:1 • No kickstarter, no power valve • New crank case & clutch cover • New water pump shaft • 2.2 lbs savings • New cylinder head and combustion chamber designed for the Freeride 250 R • New cylinder design with no exhaust control system along with a new piston design, adjusted ports and timing all provide a more trials engine style torque and snappy engine characteristics CARBURETOR & IGNITION• New 28 mm Keihin PWK • Extremely smooth power delivery • Low fuel consumption • Oil/fuel-mixture reduced to 80:1 (premix) • Two available ignition curves: 1. STANDARD 2.
