2014 KTM 690 Duke, 2014 KTM 690 DUKE THE ESSENCE OF MOTORCYCLING Back then, KTM revived the pure, unadulterated single-cylinder motorcycle in the form of the "original" Duke. Judging by the latest 690 Duke that stands before us today, much has been gained: smoothness, room for a pillion passenger, long-distance ability. But what it has never lost is its intensive and elemental ride dynamics. The most cutting-edge series production single-cylinder of our times and a precision chassis with a wealth of outstanding components turn every trip on the 690 Duke into an incomparable and unforgettable riding experience. Features May Include: INJECTION / ENGINE MANAGEMENT / RIDE-BY-WIREThanks to the mechanical and electrical refinements, the new 690 Duke uses even less fuel than ever. Even though the last Duke had already won international consumption comparison test rides with ease. Duke riding will therefore be even more economical and environmentally friendly, while remaining unashamedly fleet-footed, sporty and dynamic.CENTRALISATION OF MASSESThe Duke not only impresses with low weight and perfect chassis geometry; the centralisation of masses - for example, by positioning the brushed stainless steel pre-silencer under the engine - also contributes to its playful handling and razor-sharp precision.ABSThe disengageable dual-circuit ABS system with 9M+ modulator tuned in cooperation with Bosch offers total protection against over-braking, while maintaining the full effect and perfect feedback of a genuine sports brake thanks to very fine sensors. Weighing no more than one kilogramme, the ABS system therefore allows extremely sporty braking. And prevents nose-overs actively and effectively.FRAME AND SWINGARMLightweight components in a large, lightweight entirety: The 9 kg lightweight tubular space frame made from chrome-molybdenum steel and the 4 kg lightweight, high-quality, pin-jointed, die-cast swingarm impress with extreme levels of torsional stiffness, providing the less than 150 kg 690 Duke with excellent tracking stability.SUSPENSION COMPONENTSWell-equipped for every situation: The WP upside-down fork on the Duke with a 43 mm upright tube diameter and the pivot-arm articulated WP pressurised-gas monoshock excel with perfect tuning and an unbelievably broad spectrum of use for all demands, from relaxed cruising to racing around closed circuits.ERGONOMICSThe new 690 Duke inherits many of the benefits of its predecessor: for example, the low weight of less than 150 kg, the first-class handling and the outstanding brakes. Particularly pleasant is the place of work on the two-piece seat: Comfortable while still being set up for all dynamic riding situations, because the gathered sitting position and freedom of movement behind the ideally angled, wide aluminium handl

421 miles on this ultra clean 690. Purchased 2 months ago but my tastes have gone towards hard enduro and this bike is now sitting in lieu of my 300 two stroke. I've added the "standard" aftermarket needs like the RAM mounted foldaway mirrors and KTM wind screen. Not installed but included are the super trick orange anodized, folding and extending brake and clutch levers as well as the engine case protectors for BOTH sides. Manufacturer calls for the break in service to be completed at 600 miles but I did it at 400. Bike has clean oil screens, both oil filters brand-new and full synthetic 10/50 and It has not yet seen full throttle or over 5500 RPM. This bike is limited in its production and retailers rarely, if ever, negotiate at all off of MSRP of $10,800 as they have buyers literally lined up with pre-deposits in many cases and I waited five months to purchase this one with an out the door price of $12,200.  Plates are good through February 2018 and comes with the factory briefcase with documents, grab handles and passenger foot pegs. Yes, I  brought it inside my home and detailed it for the new owner and the bike is as close to immaculate as it can be and I have many more detailed pics upon request. I am want the pay off on the bike which is $10,300. Save yourself $2500.00 dealer fees and some critical aftermarket parts you will need and buy one that hasn't even been broken in yet!

2017 KTM 690 Duke, 2017 KTM 690 Duke SMOOTH CRIMINAL Two decades ago, the original Duke was nothing short of revolutionary. KTM s first single-cylinder street bike grew into a cult classic, adding extreme fun to a raw and radical concept. In 2017, the fully revised 690 DUKE stays faithful to its ancestor s ways, but adds future-proof refinements: impressive smoothness, sophisticated electronics, improved ergonomics and a good old power boost over last year s model. This firmly cements the world s strongest single-cylinder production motorcycle at the cutting edge of engineering. Speaking of which: carving corners has never been more fun, thanks to its revised fork offset. Long live the Duke! Features may include: ENGINE The brilliant LC4 showcases twenty-four carats of fun. From the trademark 690 cm³ thumper, the engineers have now extracted a whopping 73 hp (54 kW) and 74 Nm of torque, making light work of the equally lightweight 690 Duke. How it happened? They completely reworked the cylinder head, inserted a new, ultra light and extremely strong piston and connection rod, rerouted the air intake through a resonator chamber and provided the new crankshaft with new sleeve bearings. As a result, the powerband now is a thousand rpm wider, which means an even more uniform power delivery, especially in the mid to high rev range. Twin ignition featuring plug-selective mapping, rock solid but featherweight internals and optimized intake and exhaust systems cultivate this massive mono to be as strong as it is smooth, assisted by an advanced ride-by-wire system with three riding modes, which guarantees great refinement as well as low fuel consumption and emission figures. You re green, while they re green with envy. And you haven t even begun mentioning upmarket goodies like a standard slipper clutch. NEW CYLINDER HEAD Inside the new cylinder head, the exhaust valves are actuated by roller rockers while the camshaft powers the intake valves. Therefore, the ignition timings can be controlled with far greater accuracy. The result is more peak power over a broader rev range. Win-win! SECOND BALANCER In a free-revving firecracker like this, you want to smooth things out a bit. That s why the camshaft serves as a bonus balancer shaft, nipping annoying vibrations in the bud. ENGINE MANAGEMENT The electronic engine management system lives to make the LC4 shine. Twin ignition with individual mappings for each spark plug ensures that your precious fuel is always burned to perfection, irrespective of load and engine speed. And then there is genuine ride-by-wire, in other words: Electronically controlled throttle valve actuation without any mechanical linkage. You d be forgiven for thinking it runs on cream. Whipped cream, that is. FRAME AND SWINGARM The 9 kg tubular trelli

2017 KTM 690 Enduro R, 2017 KTM 690 Enduro R DYNAMIC CORNERING FUN Powerful engine, cool look, fantastic chassis set-up and optimum ergonomics - the KTM 690 Enduro R unites outstanding offroad qualities with unbeatable all-round ability - plus a shape radically optimized. It feels just as at home in the city and on rural roads as it does on gravel and tough terrain. The even more advanced single-cylinder combines the classic Enduro concept with state-of-the-art technology and sporty all-round ability with suitability for everyday use. Perfect workmanship and impressive details reflect the typical KTM philosophy. Features may include: ENGINE Modernised once again with twin plug ignition and ride-by-wire, the state-of-the-art, water-cooled LC4 single-cylinder on the 690 Enduro R delivers an impressive 49 kW (67 hp) from 690 cc of displacement. It combines powerful acceleration from the very lowest revs with an outstanding free-revving nature and refined engine running. It's extremely economical with fuel and saves its owner even more money, thanks to long service intervals of 10,000 km. Annoying rear wheel chatter? Prevented reliably by its slipper clutch that's fitted as standard. BALANCER SHAFT The finely balanced crank drive of the 690 single-cylinder converts terrific combustion pressure into unrivalled single-power - thanks to its balancer shaft, which eliminates vibration without having any detrimental effect on the super-single. INJECTION / ENGINE MANAGEMENT The guarantee for smooth throttle response, not just throttle cable control: The 690 Enduro R is equipped with a cable-free ride-by-wire system for opening the throttle valve. This significantly improves the power delivery, making the potent single-cylinder's throttle response and ride quality even smoother. It also electronically translates the throttle commands of the rider into throttle valve positions perfectly suited to the riding conditions. As before the rider has the choice between three different mappings for influencing the engine characteristics. A twin plug ignition system now controls two differently sized spark plugs in each cylinder head independently from each other in such a way that more efficient combustion and a smoother, optimally controlled combustion sequence are achieved at all times. The result: even more and even better controlled power, lower fuel consumption, and less emissions. FRAME AND SWINGARM Despite its thoroughbred offroad chassis, the 690 Enduro R also numbers among the curve-bandits on the road. Two major contributors to its excellent tracking stability are the lightweight tubular trellis frame made from chrome-molybdenum steel and the high-quality die-cast swingarm - both of them extremely torsion-resistant.
